+ -1 moreI called Robert's Roofing to assist my insurance adjuster with access to my roof and the roofer I talked to was rude and offered no help. When I called back, because I hadn't heard from them, I was informed, very rudely in fact, that the adjuster needed to call them and they would charge $200.00 to show up with a ladder. I work for an insurance company and normally recommend Robert's Roofing to clients who are looking for a roofing company, since they have been in business a long time & and I thought they were reputable. Never again!!! If they can't be "bothered" to help me with a claims process I won't be "recommending" them to people! VERY POOR customer service and business practices!
Description of Work: They were to help a claims adjust gain access to my roof, a normal extension ladder isn't tall enough.

+ 0 moreThey were prompt with meeting me to go over project. I got an estimate in a timely manner. They answered all my questions and modified estimate per my requests. Once we elected to do work they gave an estimated start date. They were a little behind on the actual start date, but weather was likely the culprit as it was quite a rainy season. Once work started they completed in a reasonable time and work looked good. Have not had any issues since install.
Description of Work: 1. ELIMINATE THE EXISTING BOX/YANKEE GUTTER BY SPANNING AREA WITH A 3/4" PLYWOOD FROM ROOFS EDGE UP ONTO THE ROOFS SLOPE 3-4 FT. 2. INSTALL A HEAVY BASE SHEET. 3. INSTALL A 30 YR LAMINATED SHINGLE TO MATCH EXISTING ROOF. 4. WRAP EXISTING FASCIA WITH CUSTOM FABRICATED ALUMINUM TO MATCH NEW GUTTER ON UPPER ONLY. 5. INSTALL A 6" SEAMLESS ALUMINUM GUTTER AND 3 X 4 DOWNSPOUTS. 6. INSTALL GUTTER GUARD. 7. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL DEBRIS AT AN APPROVED LANDFILL.

+ 0 moreThe work was well done, though early follow up was driven by me more so than the company. The salesman was nice enough but initially slow to respond and showed later than the appointed time. Later contact was progressively improved. I felt that the crew was a good one and have had no issues since the repairs, having now experienced 3 or 4 good rains. While I felt that Robert's Roofing was well at the high end of cost I am happy with the final product and sense that they are a company of integrity should I require any call backs. I do live well out in the country and my concrete tile roof is very much a niche install. Several roofers previously declined the work as they were only familiar with torch downs or shingles.....I bit the bullet, moved on, and feel good at the end.
Description of Work: Remove part of a concrete tile roof, reinstall flashing, repair & reinstall as needed. Also installed a torch down roof, replace gutters and downspouts.

+ -1 moreThey supplied an estimate within a week of our original call. They were only working part of the day due to the hot summer we were having, so it was several weeks before they got to our job. They called the day before, to say when they would start. They arrived early in the morning and finished the replacement in one day. They left no debris from removing 2 layers of old shingles.
Description of Work: We needed to replace the roof on a rental house.

+ -1 moreHired Robert's Roofing to repair a leaking roof (they didn't install the original 6 year old roof). They were courteous and responded quickly at first. They did the repair and cleaned up their mess. About 6 months later it leaked in the same spot and they came out to fix it at no charge. A little less then a year after that it leaked again but this time they were going to charge me $1500 to replace 3 sides of my roof (small sections). After a few more calls they stopped returning my phone calls and no longer would come out to my house. Keep in mind i was going to hire them AGAIN and pay them AGAIN to fix the original issue. I don't know why they wouldn't return my calls. Another roofing company told me they put shingles on too flat of a roof and that was why it was leaking. I hired that roofer and he pulled up several sheets of rotting and molded plywood that Robert's should have fixed the first time. I know it could be hard finding a leak but an improper repair is just as bad as no repair. That roofer took pictures of what was done incorrectly and suggested I take them to small claims court. A not so shining review will have to make due for now.

Description of Work: Called for an estimate on storm damage to roof on house and garage and guttering. Before signing the estimate, I reminded the company of things that were not listed on the estimate and wrote them on their estimate. The estimate was very short and not detailed. Everything was lumped into one price but went along with it. The work was never completed correctly and the shingles listed on the estimate were not replaced. I noticed 8 new shingles on my garage on the side that was not damaged and questioned that. This past weekend, we got up on the roof and discovered three new shingles replaced and that was it!! They were supposed to have replaced the ridge caps among other places. I still have loose gutters, too. I have called repeatedly and no one ever called me back til today, 11/14/11. I called my insurance company first and they told me to quit messing around and call the person in charge. So, I called today and asked for the owner, manager or whoever and told them the person they keep saying will call me back never has and I am just about to fire them. Imagine my surprise when someone called me and said they will be here in the morning. I guess I will see what happens tomorrow. Because of their negligence, my enclosed back porch has been leaking and now the ceiling fell in. I have not paid them any money yet and will not til work is completed to my insurance company's and my satisfaction. Gee, thanks Roberts Roofing.

+ -1 moreThey arrived as scheduled to begin the work in late fall. The workmen were cordial, worked at a steady pace and left no debris behind when they left. Since the weather was cool when the valley tin was installed, not all of the new shingles stuck down. Over the winter and spring months, we had strong winds and storms and some of the shingles became loose or were missing. Each and every time we called back, they returned to repair the problems at no additional charge.
Description of Work: We needed valley tin added to a roof that was less than 4 years old (Roberts did not install the original roof). The roof had begun to leak in the valleys, and there were a total of 8 valleys in the roof. We located them in the phone book and they responded quickly with a quote and an estimated date for the installation.

+ -1 moreAnother great experience with Roberts Roofing. They show up on time, complete the work on time and go over with you what they did and ask if you are satisfied before you ask for payment, then they do a follow up visit a couple of days later to make sure everything is still ok.
