I going to start by saying poor service and I was threatened and told that by leaving this company a review wasn't a good or wise idea. you shouldn't threaten your customers, that one is a no brainer. I bought a range there not even 2 hours ago. I needed to convert it from nature gas to LP. the store associate knew that, they even gave me the LP kit. they sold me a stove that had corroded screws in the burner caps so I cant even access the orifices to convert it. I called the store back and they wont take back the range because their associate dropped it while loading it into my car. All they could say was "whoops thought I had it" and that it should be okay. either the associate lied or the store did in order to keep my money but they claimed that their worker didn't drop it that it was my fault.

Description of Work: Said he repaired fridge. Not repaired. So sold us a refurbished fridge. Did not work (and we lost a fridge and freezer full of food). Delivered another one that worked for only a few months. In the process of all of this, he didn't show up when he said he would. In the end he said he would reimburse for the lost food if I provided a list of items. I did. I never received the reimbursement.

They were out of everything for months telling me they would get something in soon but as i said it took months for them to have anything. Finally they said that someone sold them some used ones and that I could buy them. Every time I went in to see if they had anything I asked them them if there were any other used appliance stores in St Joseph they always said there were No Others. Later to learn that they knew of others but wanted to lie to me instead so I would buy from them even though they had nothing to sell. Less than 1 year my dryer broke and stopped drying. Without even looking at the dryer they told me it broke because of how I set it up. They talked down to me trying to make me feel stupid. I called him out on his unprofessional behavior and he apologized but I was so disappointed with their service that I left. Went to another store on the belt and they were very helpful it ended up being a 13 dollar fix and had nothing to do with how i set it up. I guess the Riley name has gotten around as being a jerk and i understand why. I would never go back and tell anyone else to stay away! There are other used appliance stores here in St Joe that are nice and sincere and don't lie go to one of them!

Riley's Appliance sold us a brand new scratch and dent Samsung french door fridge for $1250. In addition to the small dent (which was acceptable to us) it was missing the door handles to both doors and the freezer and it was also missing a vegetable drawer. Before buying, the owner, Steve, told us he took the handles and drawer off of that fridge to put on another fridge he sold previously and that he would order new ones for the fridge we were interested in but that it would take a little time for them to get in. We thought that was acceptable and so we went ahead and paid him and set up delivery. We received the fridge and then a few weeks later when we hadn't heard back from him about the handles and drawer, we called them back. The woman that works there said she would have him call us back, but he never did. So we called back, with the same answer and we called back with the same answer. It is now 14 months later and I am really feeling frustrated. I would not have bought a fridge for that price without handles! No way! It is a pain to open the fridge multiple times a day by the little bolts that the handles connect to, no to mention it looks horrible and all of our house guests comment on that. Don't take their word.
