Our old home was on the market for 11 months, which in Saint Joseph is pretty good. The housing market in this area is not great and our house was on the expensive side. Chuck Hamilton advised us at what price range would work best, how to make the house most attractive to buyers, and what might minor upgrades could be done to ensure the best price. Little things like changing out the faucets and showerheads, painting "loud" colored rooms, etc. Buyers like neutral colors and new looking fixtures. Chuck also picked out some great homes for us to look at when purchasing our new home and worked with their real estate agent to get us a new roof and other minor fixes that were needed. In summary, if I ever move again, which I hope is not soon(!), I would immediately call Chuck Hamilton of Prudential. Incidentally, while we were using Prudential, their name changed to Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate Services, but all the same great people and realtors, just a different owner, I guess.

We tried to sell two houses and they were rarely showed and not by our realtor. Didn't see a lot of team work trying to sell each other's properties or going above and beyond. No real original ideas like you see the realtors on tv do. We had to call our realtor to get updates. They didn't call in and check with us.

The entire process was very smooth. Tara was very patient and allowed me to look at a large number of houses-probably at least 40 homes. She gave me great advice about each home also. This was my first home purchase and she was able to point out things that I would never have thought about considering. The home was a foreclosure with HUD and she was great about walking me through the process which would have gotten very frustrating without her help. I feel she went above and beyond to assist me in purchasing my home. Tara has even gotten in touch with me several times since the purchase to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would definitely work with Tara again and will recommend her to friends and family!

When we moved to Missouri, my husbands company selected Pam to help us with our relocation (home buying) needs, so we didn't actually interview agents. However, knowing her committment to her clients and the Saint Joseph area, I would not only use her again, I would recommend her to anyone who asks. Prior to our house hunting trip, we spoke on the phone and she asked many questions so that she would have a good idea of our needs. When we got to St. Joseph, I gave her a list of homes I had researched prior to our house hunting visit and she was happy to let us see all of them in addition to the ones that she found. For two (full) days, she took our entire family of five around town. There was never a time that she didn't have a smile on her face, and she always had a ready answer to any question asked. At one point on the first day, we were feeling a little discouraged because we weren't finding what we had in our minds. Pam proceeded to look up the 'perfect' home that we were describing. We looked at a couple and decided that what we had in mind wasn't the perfect house for us at all and at that point went back to our original list. That afternoon, we had a second look at some and narrowed the list to 3. When we returned to our then current home, I spoke to her on the phone one day after we had a contract on the home that we live in now, and confessed to her that I really didn't remember the back yard all that well. That afternoon, she emailed me 3 pictures of the backyard! I didn't ask her to do that, or even indicate that I wanted her to, she's just that kind of agent. She worked tirelessly with bankers and closing companies trying to get us into our new home at the time we wanted to be there, and I know a lot of people had to rush on our behalf. Maybe that's the kind of thing realtors are supposed to do, but I've had some that I know would not have gone to the trouble. I still speak with her almost weekly, especially when I have a question regarding services here in town. Each time, she is happy to help, always reassuring me that I can call her anytime. I really think she has gone above and beyond what her job entails.
