Description of Work: They sharpened the blade, replaced the spark plug, tuneup, and replaced belts on my self-propelled push mower. I dropped the mower off in June and they said that it would only be about $35 and take a week. I called them each week after it was supposed to be done, and they said they were waiting on parts. I finally got the call in September that it was ready to be picked up. The mower bag was no longer black, but grey due to sun damage. He said that it worked like a new mower, so I didn't mind paying the price. I got it home and it would start, but immediately die. I could not mow at all. I had him try to get it going for me several times, but he seemed mystified as to why it wouldn't stay running. After many weeks, he finally took it partly apart in front of me and dumped out some water that was inside of it. I take good care of my mower and keep it inside. He left it outside in the rain and sun all summer. I just hope that it didn't do a lot of damage. I feel like if you look at something and deciDE that it is going to take all summer to get to, just say so. I could have used it all summer. It worked before, but I could tell that it wasn't running right. Instead of making it run better, it came back worse. I will be a lot more careful who I send my mower to from now on.

+ -1 moreNot good at ball Mower still will not move. I found out from the Friend who picked it up for Me that they pushed it up on his Truck when it was loaded then told him they didn't have the keys for it which they did and I had to drive back to the Business to retrieve I didn't find out that it was still broken and that someone had messed with the Variable speed pulleys . I'm not sure why those were messed with and the back drive belt was off and there is a pulley that won't line up. When I confronted The owner about it and had the Mower with at the time He LIED to me about the whole thing . If SOMETHING IS REPAIRED AND YOU DON'T GET TO USE IT TILL A LATER DATE IT SHOULD BE FIXED AND FIXED RIGHT . All I wanted when I confronted the owner to do is make it right .
Description of Work: He was to replace the same belt he replaced before I picked up Mower . They missed the fact a piece of wire was caught on the pulley and ate up 1st new belt.

+ -1 moreHis service was EXCELLENT and the 1985 L112 John Deere riding mower runs as good as my 2009 L2000 Craftsman riding mower. He is reasonably priced and very honest. I have another riding mower and 2 push mowers, a snow blower and a power washer all which will be serviced by Jeff's Small Engine Repair from now on.
Description of Work: Jeff did an EXCELLENT job. He picked up and delivered my riding mower, rebuilt the carb, did routine service oil, filters, spark plug, greased where needed, changed blade plus made adjustments as needed.

+ -1 moreI took my mower to Jeff's Small Engines LLC. Even though there were a plethera of small engine vehichles in and out of the shop, it took only a week to repair my mower. I had an estimate of two to three weeks from another company. The day I brought my mower in, Jeff was recooping from having a tooth pulled. He was very friendly to me even though he was obviously was in pain. I will bring all of my small engine repairs to Jeff.
Description of Work: I was having trouble with the power drive on my Lawnboy. I called Jeff and was told to bring it to him. He told me that it would be a couple of days to fix. Although it was a week, I found that beside having his tooth pulled, he was in the hospital. The work is well done and I felt the price was reasonable. There is a slight problem now. Jeff's shop is between two brides being replaced. I had to call twice to find the way to get to his business. This will not be a problem when the bridges reopen.
