Collision Repair Specialists

L. Wilcoxson in the last week Called my Allstate auto club to get a tow. My policy provides for a tow up to 50 miles. Collision Repair Specialists or "Collision Despair" (the nickname many know them by ) accepted the tow and I received an ETA text from Allstate. After hearing of others past experiences with this company back when I worked in St. Joseph, I started to ask for a Nother provider. I then thought to myself maybe all of the stories I heard we're not true. 30 minutes after the ETA time I called Collision Despair for an update. The lady who answered said she would call Jimmy the driver and have him call me. I waited 25 minutes for that call before calling Allstate back. Allstate advised me that Collision Despair, after all this time has passed, decided to decline the tow as it was too far for them. As previously stated my contract provides for a tow up to 50 miles the location I was requesting to be towed to 31 miles away. After waiting another hour plus Allstate finally found All City Tow in St. Joseph to take care of my tow. Apparently All City is more concerned with taking care of customers then getting their face plastered all over billboards and trucks. If you ever need a tow in that area please call All City Tow, or have your time wasted by Collision Despair Specialists and their merry band of flunkies.

Did not use this company.

My husband had checked several places in town the previous day and Collision Repairs was the only place that could do the job as soon as possible-- the next day. I arrived at the appointed time. They offered to take me somewhere or I could wait in the area. I chose to walk across to the local shopping centre. They told me 2 hours and as I'm walking the door, they phoned to say it was completed. Prompt service.

I was a little apprehensive about going in because this not an insurance claim. I was paying for the repairs myself just to make my old ride a little nicer. I actually got the estimate in Dec 2014 from representative Richard Young. He was very nice to work with. I received the estimate in short order. I decided to wait until spring to have the work done. There was no pressure to get it done earlier. The job is now complete and I think they did a perfect job. They even cleaned my truck up much much better than I do. The whole experience with this company was pleasurable. Everyone was happy and upbeat and seemed genuinely interested in me and my truck. I definitely will return to them for future repairs. I also found out that they offer complete glass repair and replacement services for not only auto but also home and business. Many thanks to Collision Repair Specialist in St. Joseph, MO.

I got in an accident and had to get a new window, new ball joint and new front bumper assembly. They took care of it all and handled the insurance company so I didn't have to. They were professional and courteous.

I am not pleased with the service at all. They are not friendly nor are they very helpful they are rude. The scheduled my vehicle to come in for repairs i brought my vehicle in and left it with them like i was scheduled to do after my vehicle sat there for a week they called me to inform me that a few more minor things that were not covered in their estimate after informing me that such problems would not effect the operations of my vehicle in anyway i said i would like to wait and just have the scheduled repairs done they called back the next day to inform me that all repairs needed to be fixed or they would not fix anything so i said i would just come pickup my vehicle and have services done elsewhere they then informed me that they had parts off my vehicle and had to put them back on so i gave them till the next day i went there the next day at 4pm and my vehicle was still not ready i had to continue to wait another two hours and i have 5 children so the run around was not a pleasent trip. I do not and would not recommend this busisness to anyone. however this is the experience i had with this company and is strictly my personal opinion.

The entire tow process went very well. Their tow truck arrived 20 minutes after they were called. Driver waited patiently while police interviewed people. The driver was careful when loading the car. He allowed me to get items from the car too. He was very nice and empathetic to the situation.

Went for a 2nd estimate on my car repair. The guy tried to make me leave my car, saying it was unsafe to drive. He was very pushy and was telling me a quite different story than I received from the provider of the 1st estimate. He then went to his office to figure my estimate. While in there, he called my insurance agent and tried to convince him to call and tell me my car was undrivable, which I found out later when my agent called me. He came out with my estimate and more insistance that it was unsafe to drive and that I should just leave the car so they could start repairs immediately and not wait for approval from my insurance, even though I explained I had not yet talked to my claims adjuster. I told the guy I would wait till I got the okay before making my decision. I called the first place and scheduled the service. I dropped off my car. CRS's guy called a little while later to see what I had decided. I told him I had chosen another shop because he was pushy and made me uncomfortable He apologized and said he was sorry if I felt that way. I told him I also did not appreciate him calling my agent eithout my knowledge he again said he was only concerned about how unsafe my car was. Later that day, the shop I chose called to say my insurance company sent a notice that the work was being transferred to Collision Repair on the request of CRS. What a pushy, inappropriate action on this guy's part! I would never feel comfortable going there. I felt talked down to and like he was trying to manipulate me because I was a young woman walking in there alone. I think he tried to use scare tactics that the other company did not use, like saying that they could get me right in and that there was no way I should drive that car the way it was. After the reputable company did a full estimate and tear-down, there is still nothing found that is serious or dangerous about its condition, I will be recommending the other company on Angie's list as long as their finished body repair is as good as the way they have treated me so far!

I went in to get an estimate on the damage they looked at my car and got me in the same day for repairs they explained everything they were going to do.And they did exactly what they said They kept me up to date on the progress of my car
