The work was never performed. Someone came by in August to see what work I needed. He explained to me they were booked up through November and possible December. I thought that was strange and unorganized to not know how much work you have booked, anyway, I told him I was OK with waiting since it wasn't urgent since I had a shower I could use in the other bathroom. I wanted to use this company since they are so highly rated on Angie's List. He used his tape measure a couple of times and took "measurements". He told me he would have someone send me an estimate to my email. So, I gave him my email and he left. That was the absolute last time I heard from him or his company. It is now November 8 and not a peep. I felt it was extremely unprofessional to not at least call to keep me in the loop. I would have even appreciated a phone call to let me know that they were unable to do the work. Very unorganized and very unprofessional. Clearly this failing company does not care about their customers. The lack of organization leads me to wonder what quality of work they perform.
Description of Work: I needed a bathtub removed and a new one installed. The bathtub was cracked around the drain and I could not use it anymore because it leaked.

Response from New Transitions LLC
Mr. [Member Name Removed], a proposal for the work we discussed was emailed to your email on 7/27/17 at 2:24 pm. I never received a default that it was the wrong email. This was a 2 day response from the day I looked a your project. I stated we were booked into November and possibly December because we are always having outstanding proposals coming in and by the time you received your proposal and made a decision that we would probably booked into December. New Transitions takes pride in doing quality professional work and has always been concerned about reputation. That being said a phone call to us would probably been just before condemning us on social media when our part of the process was followed .ie. the email on 7/27/17 at 2:24 pm within 2 days of looking at the project. I would be glad to speak with you about this matter and have left a voicemail on your phone this morning 7/13/17 at approx. 7:30 am. I would hope with this information you would see fit to remove this rating on Angie's List as we feel it is unfair and unjust. Sincerely, Bryan Ousley 11/27/17...... I have since this response tried 2 additional times to get in contact with Mr. [Member Name Removed] but he will not return my phone calls.

Bryan and Mark were wonderful to work with. You were always comfortable with them being in your home, or leaving them there when you were not home. Without exception they showed up everyday prepared to work on the project to get it completed on the timeline that we were provided. When they left everyday they cleaned up the after themselves. Outstanding work and craftsmanship. None of the work was subcontracted. In addition Bryan has a vast array of resources for the various materials that you need for the completion of the job. Mark and Bryan hung some new light fixtures in other parts of the house outside the scope of the project There is no need to look elsewhere for your remodeling project. Superb people, superb work!

It went very well. They cleaned up well at the end of the day and made very minimal mess and interruption to daily life. They are both very nice men to deal with. I first found New Transitions on Angies List and I'm very glad I did.
Description of Work: It was a pleasure to have Brian and Mark work on my home. They remodeled my bathroom, which included floor, new vanity and shower and removing a tub and replacing it with laundry and storage cabinets. They also replaced fluorescent light fixtures in the kitchen with pot lights and some other more minor items. Can't wait to have them back for a bigger kitchen remodel.

Bryan and Mark were wonderful. They were professional , timely and a joy to have in our home. I did not worry one bit if we could not be at home. They cleaned up everyday and kept us updated on each step. Their knowledge of how to fix things that came up at the last minute was awesome. They even liked our dogs and were patient with them. They saw a few small things within the house that were quick fixes and used material left over to do the repairs.

Bryan and Mark were great to work with. We initially contacted them because they were familiar with working on older homes and chose them because of Bryan's ideas and openness to our ideas for the bathroom. This was a complete gut of plaster and lath. The space was kept incredibly clean. Upon bringing in the plumber, we reworked our plan slightly, moving the toilet, and Bryan flowed (pun intended) with it. They kept us up to date on the progress when our changes caused some slight delays and made sure we knew when we could come in and paint prior to putting in the final fixtures. Entirely new electric and plumbing and the removal of materials caused this to be a big job for a small bathroom, but Bryan, Mark, and the plumber and electrician they work with were up to the task. (Please excuse the oversized light bulb in the wall fixture picture. I bought the wrong size!)

Fantastic experience! This is the second project we've hired Bryan and Mark to do. Our first experience was so good, we didn't bother with getting multiple bids for this job, we wanted them to do the work! Anyone who’s hired contractors for home projects have experienced the nightmares; not showing up on time, not showing up at all, not returning phone calls, leaving a mess in the house…just to name a few. With Bryan and Mark, you’ll have none of these problems, they’re absolutely professional in every way. A big part of this project included making modifications to an expensive custom built-in cabinet. Because of our previous experience, we knew Mark and Bryan were the guys we wanted making the changes…they’re talented and inventive! They capped off the built-in by mounting our new TV perfectly in the cabinet. Turned out great, love the modifications and the custom LED lighting! Thanks guys!
Description of Work: 1. Install a new Silgranite kitchen undermount sink. 2. Re-configure an existing custom built-in cabinet including new LED lighting 3. Mount and install a new 65" TV in the custom built-in.

If you are looking for quality craftsmanship and top-notch materials look no further than New Transitions. Brian and his team were a joy to work with. I had the old formica countertops in the kitchen replaced with quartz and I am thrilled with the results. The work was perfomed expertly and on time. This is the 2nd time I have used New Transitions ( they renovated a shower last year) and I will not hesitate to use them again.

Bryan and Mark did a great job with our bath remodel. They guided us through the whole process from initial ideas to finished product. They were very patient with us as we postponed and altered our plans. Once it started they were very professional, cleaned up every night and were careful with our floors and carpets, laying down tarps to protect everything. The new bath looks great and we couldn't be happier!

Owner Bryan Ousley did a great job of providing options and working with us on the design. His suppliers are professional and helpful. The install went flawlessly and on schedule. The construction team are also the owners Mark and Bryan and are meticulous about cleaning up at the end of the day to ensure you have as livable a situation during construction as possible. I highly recommend New Transitions for their knowledge, skill and professionalism.

New Transitions was an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way. We like the fact they only work on one job at a time until it is finished, and do not subcontract any of the work. It is comforting to know who is in your house. They were always courteous, prompt, clean, and kept us fully informed. The quality of workmanship is very high. Bryan and Mark are true professionals and gentlemen. We are thrilled with the results.

I originally met with Bryan to go over what I wanted done. He was very helpful with ideas and suggestions for things I hadn't though about. He helped pick out everything. When you hire New Transitions, you know who will be working in your house. Bryan and Mark were here everyday. They finish one job before they go to the next. They were extremely professional and cleaned everything up at the end of each day. The work took less than two weeks. They do beautiful work. Once the project was complete, I found a drawer that wasn't closing all the way. I called Bryan and he was here the next day to adjust it. I am very happy with my new bathroom. I will definitely call them again when I decide to redo my kitchen.

Bryan was very nice & always kept us up to date/communicated well. The finished guest bathroom looked great. The only "downside" was not having them paint - we should have just paid a bit extra to paint the walls for us, because painting behind a toilet is tough! Lesson learned on our end. All contractors were always friendly and polite. Job was completed in a timely manner, also.
Description of Work: Full guest bathroom remodel. Completely gutted- new plumbing and shower basin (old one leaked), tile, toilet, vanity, added an exhaust fan, new window, and they took out a second door and made a solid wall to help with spacing in the tiny bathroom.

This was the second time I've had New Transitions in to do a remodel project. Bryan is very responsive and always there when he says he will be. His communication is great and always keeps you up to date on what is happening. Bryan made some good suggestions to ensure that I'd be happy with the final product. After the contract was signed, I purchased the accent tile but the cost for this was in the bid. Bryan told me what he had in the bid for the tile which would be deducted from my final invoice. When I received the final invoice, Bryan indicated that when he checked the amount he put in the bid, it was a few dollars more than what he had quoted me. I appreciate Bryan's honesty in giving me the additional money back. If he hadn't, I would have never known the difference. When I have another project to do, I will certainly talk with New Transitions about it.
Description of Work: Put in a new tiled shower with new door. Also installed a heated tiled floor. The bathtub was in great condition so we kept it but new tile was installed in front of the tub and around the top.

Found 'newtransitions' on Angie's List. They had outstanding ratings so we included them in the companies we talked to before awarding a contract. We were impressed on day 1. 'Newtransitions' performed just like we read and heard. They did outstanding work, good guidance, always on time and left the place clean. One reviewer commented 'you almost do not know they are there'. We had the same experience. Would definitely use them again.

Bryan and Mark did a great job. They followed through according to plan and kept us informed along the way. Bryan was very helpful when it came to product, design and color choices. They were very particular to all details. On the last day Mark noticed that the wall lights were off a little bit when he installed the mirrors. No problem he fixed it - no big deal. They left our bedroom and garage clean and free of debris every day. They worked hard every day and stayed on our job until they were done. We were concerned that we would have to replace all of the wallpaper in the stairwell even though only a small section of drywall was replaced. Mark was very careful and made sure that we could simply reset the wallpaper when he was done. The finish caulking was clean and precise. They were flexible on the install of the toilet and linen cabinet so that I could have the weekend to prime and paint. We love our new bathroom and will definitely have Bryan and Mark back in the future for other projects.
Description of Work: Master bathroom remodel to wall studs. Added electrical outlet and ran new 110v to circuit panel in basement for heated tile floor. Added plumbing to convert from one sink to two sink vanity. Onyx collection shower base, walls, crown molding, corner seat and large recessed cubby. Porcelain floor tile. Green moisture resistant drywall all walls and ceiling. Tape, mud and sand to ready for prime and paint. Frameless bypass shower doors. New exhaust fan with humidity sensor. New vanities increasing length from 66" to 72". Onyx custom vanity top. Linen cabinet to match vanity. New toilet. New faucets. Six panel door with trim, new base trim. Replaced damaged drywall in stairwell from bathroom plumbing leak. Installed mirrors and lights that we purchased. Two new can lights for ceiling.

Brian and Mark were both very professional . They did what they said they were going to do in a timely and efficient manner. They were very careful with everything and gave advice on color and material recommendations. I continued to add to the original project and they were able to accommodate the changes. They cleaned up everything as they went along. They put up barriers to control dust and returned the rooms to as normal as possible each evening. They also made sure I was satisfied with everything. They produced quality work and were both very good natured and easy to work with and most importantly trustworthy. I don't think you could go wrong opting for this company to do any kind of work for you.

Bryan worked with us in trying to keep the remodel within our budget. In fact, he redid the bid twice for us, allowing us to gut the bathroom ourselves and substitute some materials used. While Bryan's bid wasn't the lowest, I think we got our monies worth and the quality that we were looking for. Since this was the only bathroom in the house, they reset the toilet each day before leaving, The work turned out beautifully. The quality of the work was exceptional and they made sure that everything was up to code. Both Bryan and Mark were very professional. They provided me with a Certificate of Insurance before the work was started and a Lien Waver when the job was finished and was paid in full. While I don't anticipate having to utilize this, they told us to call if we noticed anything at all that was of concern and they would take care of it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again.

One of the most respectful, timely and skilled contractors we've ever had. We will definitely be calling Bryan and Mark again!!!
Description of Work: Installed range, converted to gas, and cut granite counter. We were in a bind as our electric range had died with Christmas fast approaching. We quickly learned that the previous home owners put in a 29" range when 30" ranges are the standard. We needed to find someone to cut our existing granite counters to fit the new range, and since we had to have someone cut the granite counter - then we were going to do this right and convert to a gas range. We put out a few feelers via Angie's List, and Bryan called within a day. He apologized for the short notice that he could come out the same day to evaluate and propose a bid. No apology needed!! Same day evaluation?? Great!! So, Bryan arrived to the bid on time. He promised a bid within 24 hours, and he delivered. The bid was reasonable, and he and Mark would be able to fit in our 1-day job in between their big projects (one was ending within 2 weeks). Bryan called 2 days prior to tell us they would be coming. I can't believe I never had to call them, they contacted me without having to follow up with them! They finished the job within hours, set up a tent in the kitchen to catch the granite dust, and left the kitchen in the same condition as when they arrived!! We hardly had to clean a thing! And we were able to use our new range that night!

The damage to the sink cabinet was extensive. The sink, disposal, and plumbing had to be disassembled and the cabinet fully removed. The cabinet had to be rebuilt in providers' shop and reinstalled the following day. Providers also installed new appliances (faucet, gas cook top, and vented microwave). The installations went flawlessly, and the repair to the cabinet looks new again. Provider took great care to clean the work area and respect our home. Providers were honest, courteous, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. The work they performed demonstrated quality, value, and the highest degree of professional integrity. Simply stated, I would highly recommend New Transitions, and I am thankful to them for helping me improve my home.

Bryan and Mark were phenomenal! This was my second bathroom remodel in a year. I did not use Angie's list to find the previous contractor and that experience was horrendous. So I was a little apprehensive But now I cant say enought positive about this bath remodel. They showed up when they said they would. They helped me via their contacts and Midwest Kitchen and Bath. They managed getting the counter-top/sinks ordered and here on time. They were willing to reuse light fixtures and other items just purchased last year because I did not know it was leaking. It was just them working on the job. They did not bring in other help. The most important thing to me is that they did not start another job while working on my job, They stayed here until completion. The second most important thing is that they asked me where I wanted things when the bathroom was being built back. Things like the pattern for the tile on the floor, and how high to put the towel racks, They also gave me good feedback on what would look off and what would look off and what would look good. The third thing was their pride in doing everything as well as it could be done. For example when they removed the toilet they found it was shimmed and only bolted to the floor on one side because the cast iron 'collar' was broken. They fixed it rather then just patching it. The tile work they did was perfectly executed. The tiles are set evenly and the grout is 1/8 inch. I was comfortable with them in my home. And I was comfortable leaving them in the home when I had to run erands. They were meticulous about cleaning up every day and about the work they did. I cant say enough positive about Bryan and Mark. I have been singing their praises to whomever will listen.

Our shower pan had been installed improperly years before and was leaking to the floor below. While some contractors recommend tearing out the entire travertine tile shower ($$$), our preference was to only remove the stone necessary to repair the leak. To do so, New Transitions had to take out our heavy glass enclosure, tear out the shower floor and gently remove the first row of wall tiles so as not to chip or crack adjacent stone. Mark and Brian did an amazing job of removing only the stone necessary to replace our leaking shower pan with a new system and then putting everything back together so that the repair is completely invisible ? the new stone and grout matches the old perfectly. In addition to the shower repairs, New Transitions built and installed a custom wood-paneled tub skirt that allows access to the tub?s plumbing and motor. They also installed crown molding and custom mirror and trim for four bathroom mirrors. Finally, they reversed a door in a wood-paneled office that required a significant amount of detailed woodworking to get right. This is the second bathroom New Transitions has renovated for us, and once again we couldn?t have been happier with the result. Mark and Brian do meticulous work and really care that everything is done correctly, something very rare in contractors these days. They were on time and on budget, and a pleasure to have in our home for 2+ weeks.
Description of Work: Replaced shower pan, repaired drain and subfloor, and installed new travertine stone walk-in shower Replaced 4 builder-quality bathroom mirrors with larger, custom trimmed versions Removed tile tub surround and replaced with custom, wood-paneled tub skirt Reversed and re-hung interior door

We had an old fiberglass shower with a funky shower door that didn't open completely. The previous home owners had actually painted it with white paint, which was peeling. It also had a small, repaired hole. Mark and Bryan just replaced it with a beautiful, Onyx Collection shower, with invisible glass door. These guys went above and beyond considering the problematic state of our plumbing. Way above and beyond. The precision of the work is the best I've seen. I cannot believe how improved the bathroom is with that open, gorgeous shower. And it's also a roomier shower, since the fiberglass took up so much unnecessary space. We'll definitely hire New Transitions for other work. So very pleased with the result.
