Joe Milner Carpets

Pros: Joe and his team did a great job. I appreciated them helping to move the big furniture items out of the space and put it back upon completion of installation. The flooring looks great! In addition, the guys cleaned up the dust and materials each day. Cons: I had a difficult time getting Joe to commit to a specific date and time. It seemed that my project was being squeezed in-between other jobs. I would have preferred to have a firm date and time.

Joe Milner Carpets is really reasonable and does a really good job. He installed carpeting and flooring for us several times. He did a bedroom, and then, the staircase in our basement and the basement floating floor. We compared the price with other companies, and it was comparable with them.

Went great. The carpet tiles changed the look of the basement and added versatility to the room. Less than 3 months later, it helped sell our house!

Having gotten what I considered a high estimate from a large home-improvement store, I located Joe Milner Carpets on Angie's List. It took a while for Joe to get back to me, but once he did, he showed up to measure, show samples, and estimate the job. He was informal, which suited me for a job this size. His two workers showed up as agreed the next week and were done with the whole job in a morning. Carpet looks nice and we have no complaints. His price was very reasonable compared with the large chain.

Would not recommend or use this company again in the future for myself...

I have used Joe Milner carpets in the past to stretch out waves in my carpet and to repair carpet on my stairs. For some reason waves, even little ones or the beginnings of ones, drive me crazy! Joe did a pretty major carpet stretching job a couple of years ago which involved moving furniture and was pretty involved and I was very happy with the work. A year or so later I asked him to remove the waves from a carpet in another room, which he did. In the year or so since then, it has started to ripple up a little bit again because of the amount of traffic crossing and the way the furniture sits. I called him a few days ago and asked if he would be willing to come by and take a look. He remembered me, fit me in between big jobs and came out within a couple of days. He stretched the wave out of the carpet in a couple of minutes and wouldn't even take any money from me. How often does that happen? Joe is quick, thorough, and does excellent work. I would use his company for any job, big or small. I will definitely call him again and I recommend Joe Milner carpets highly.

It was a great experience. They were on time. They called back. Any time there was a question they answered it. They did everything great. They finished it in the time they said they would. We have no problems with the floor. Great communication. I would say to use them, get a quote. If you like their price they are worth having.

I had carpet that was rippling in six different places in various rooms of my home. Some of the rippling was minor, and a couple areas it was quite severe. I had used Joe Milner carpets once before and had been happy with the results, so I gave him a call to see if he could come out and take a look at things. He came out the very next morning and did that job that same day. He charged me $175, which I thought was more than reasonable. My carpet looks great, and it was all done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Joe is a very nice guy, easy to work with, and very prompt. I will definitely use this company again.

I called Joe to inquire about getting some carpet stretching done in the home we bought. I left a message for Joe; he called back the next day and offered to come over that same day to look at the job and give us a quote in order to help us meet our tight time frame for getting many tasks finished in the short time we had available. It was a holiday! He arrived exactly when he said he would, quoted the job fairly, and then offered to do the work on the spot. Later when we were ready to carpet a room and put vinyl in a bathroom in the basement I called Joe again. After I described what I wanted, he brought samples to me at my work, quoted the job, ordered the materials which came in quickly, and arranged a time for installation. I had to reschedule twice, and he was very accommodating and professional. On the date of installation, again he arrived on time and got the job done, the carpet and vinyl look great!

The carpet on the stairs was starting to slip and become loose on a few specific steps. I was concerned that I would trip while carrying something but the carpet was still quite new and we didn't want to replace it. I called and spoke to Joe about the situation and he came out the very next day. He secured the carpet on the loose steps quickly and efficiently. His price was extremely reasonable. He was professional and friendly. A great experience- we'll definitely call him for future carpet needs.

Joe was very prompt and efficient. He responded on a days notice, came within the time he promised, worked very skillfully and professionally, and charged a very fair price. He left the work area just the way he found it. I would use his service again and recommend his work.

Very good experience. I would call them again if I need further carpeting. The price was a little high, but they did a good job and the carpeting has held up well.
