Floyd Glass & Window

Unfortunately to write a review I have to grant a star but just know that this company doesn't even deserve one star. To have an owner yelling at you and telling you in so many words that you are stupid is unacceptable, I don't speak window language and "clear annealed" does not spell glass Justin. You should change how you write out your paperwork. Its also unacceptable to cancel an appointment with a lousy text message at 6:43 am without a phone call. Communication from this company is terrible. Only until they realized that I wasn't going to go away quietly did they pick up the phone. Its funny how people know how to dial a phone when they need payment. I was accused of having parts that were never in my possession, however a week prior they told us that they were going to put back them back into inventory. They also claim that they didn't take my original hardware, however my windows are missing the balancers that they so rudely claim were never taken. Multiple times during this horrendous transaction I asked to have my original hardware returned. I was told each time that they would have to track it down and they would bring it on install day. Not once did they tell me they didn't have my original hardware. Only to find out that in the end of a weeks debate, their story changed to "we take detailed notes on clipboards and take pictures so we never have to take hardware"... You might want to take better notes next time Cathy because my hardware was taken and you're changing your story to appease your son Justin, whom I frustrated in a phone conversation. Talk about vindictive. To clear the record, because no one at your company will admit it, Floyd glass pulled the wool over our eyes and you are trying to play the victim. I don't like to be called a liar. Each time I got a call from this company, their story changed. Please save yourself time, money and your sanity and chose another company to do business with.

Had a kitchen window pane replaced with quality of workmanship issues. Spoke with the vice president and co-owner of Floyd Window & Glass who was unresponsive and unapologetic to my concerns. Was told they would do a complete (2 window) installation, instead of just the window pane, but they would not credit me the $300 spent on the window with quality issues.

Excellent job at a fair price. Very professional. Would definitely use again.

Katy was so helpful and went above and beyond when helping me. I was so impressed with her. She is a great asset to your company. She never let me fall through the cracks, and she made sure everything was handled smoothly.

It was a very easy experience. I took my car in, They pulled it around back and I waited in there very nice wating room. They are also a window company and their show room is very impressive. I may have to go back and have them make me a mirror with my football team logo on it. The car was done in an hour, and now I can't even tell where the chip was. I am very satisfied.

His cost was a little higher, and so we didn't go with him. The sales man was really good, and really friendly. We were happy with the company, and they have a good reputation, and they are good. The items I looked at even before I called them, was their rating on Angie's List. The guy was very professional, very friendly, he wasn't pushy, he knew what he was talking about. We got bids from other companies, and the other company was very pushy. We had a mix up, the first time he was supposed to meet us, because he put it the next day instead of the day we were supposed to meet, but it was in my favor as well, as I also had a prior commitment. But the rest of the times were all good.

I would not recommend this company as their follow-up was horrible. Jason S came in to take measurements and noted that it would take a few days to e-mail the estimate. We did not hear from him again for 2 weeks, when he e-mailed us asking what we thought of his estimate. We responded by telling him that we had not yet received it. He said he would send it through e-mail the next morning. Again it took several days, almost a whole week after that to get his quote.

It was glass doors and glass shelves. They came to the house and measured and they prepared the glass, exactly the way we wanted it. They brought it in and installed it. They did exactly what they said they would do. They have good prices. They were very courteous, friendly, and they were easy to work with.

We are very pleased with the work they performed. Their service was great, from our initial contact, through the material selection process, and the fabrication/installation of the product. They finished the work quickly, before I thought they would. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. We plan to have them perform more work for us in the future.

Jason showed up on time to give us a bid to replace our windows. He brought Josh, since it was only his second week at Floyd's. While showing them around, we discussed purchasing a slider to replace our atrium door. Josh pointed out that the opening was smaller than standard, so a slider would only open 22"! We were happy he did, and very disappointed the other two companies had not. (this was our third estimate) We couldn't even believe a 22" opening would be code! So we had to rethink the door replacement and Josh had the perfect solution....fully functioning french doors with a retractable screen (that screens the whole opening). We LOVE our new doors and the screen. It's our favorite part of the whole project. Ok now, back to the windows. Their first bid was a little higher than we wanted to pay (their premium line) so they suggested we look at the standard line. We did, and that's what we purchased. It's 103 degrees outside today, and the inside glass, of the windows, is cool. We are very pleased with the quality of the product and the noise reduction is a bonus (no more lawnmowers and barking dogs). The Viwinco brand is quality and made in the USA. The installation was seamless. Tim and his guys did a great job, inside and out. They cleaned up very well and hauled everything away.

He gave me an estimate on the phone and then more detailed once his guy came out to measure. The windows arrived when he said (about 10 days) and they installed them in just a few hours. They were professional, courteous and cleaned up when they finished. I plan to use them again when the rest of my windows need replacing.

When I called to inquire about price,etc. The women I spoke to repeatedly questioned my reasons for wanting to change the glass saying that it would be very expensive. I explained that I figured it would be expensive, but my daughter's safety was more important. I asked her if someone could come and give us an estimate for the work since they were unable to do so on the phone. She asked me why my husband couldn't do the owrk himself. She then asked for my phone number to call me back to let me know when they could come over. I gave her my cell number stating that I was traveling that week. She asked what I did and when I told her I was in sales, she said "Well, then I quess you can afford it." Fortunately, she never called me back and all the better becasue we called the next company on our list, and they did wonderful work!!! Call A.M. Richards instead.

I think they were very quick to respond and come out. They had fast service. They did a good job matching up the rounded corners. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

He came on time and the job was nice. I don t have any complaints; he did exactly what I asked. He did not leave a mess and was professional. I was happy and would use them again. He also took out all of the old glass for me and he was very careful.
