Tom and his team do great work! This is the second time they have come to our home for landscaping and their work has been exceptional both times. After the work was completed we did have an area of sod that we were unhappy with. Upon reaching out to Tom, he sent a member of his crew to address the issue.

Tom Watson, owner, responded quickly to my request for a bid. Within 3 weeks of accepting the bid, he introduced me to the Crew Leader, Carlos, and we walked through the property to review what needed to be accomplished. Digging out back started on Tuesday, June 13. That evening, Carlos introduced me to Salvador who would be responsible for creating the front walls, sidewalk, and driveway border. On Wednesday, the work started in earnest: tearing down the crumbling old wall; ripping out four massive shrubs; clearing our the remaining bushes and roots from the planting area; working on the driveway drainage and border. The Crew of 6 worked efficiently and efficiently under Carlos' supervision. I learned that Salvador is a wall-building, sidewalk paving artisan. Tom checked on progress daily. The work was completed on Saturday morning the 17th. The property was cleaned up nicely before they left. The place looks great!

Originally planned on having the retaining wall replaced sometime in mid-April but with all the rain we had this spring the job was pushed out to the end of May, which was fine. It took the workmen two days to complete the job and it looks great. The color of the wall blocks look really good with our house color and the design and care they took in building it look absolutely perfect! Tom Watson was wonderful to work with and his crew was very friendly and professional. I will certainly use his company again for work again in the future.

Brought Tom out to do a estimate on some landscaping. Showed up on time and seemed knowledgable. Problem came on getting a quote out of him. Original promise was one week, reasonable. After 2 weeks I had to send him a note which got a reply a couple days after that he would get to me back end of last weekend. That passed and nothing. Understand busy but a simple note saying your tied up and re-commit, and stick to your word, goes a long way in my book. Can't say I'm gonna use him as I am not going to chase a contractor down to do a job

Very well. Tom Watson is competent and honest, and he and his people are easy to work with. This is the second job he's done for me. On both occasions he did exactly what he said he would do, and the price is fair. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I did not hear from this company again. Received no estimate as I was told. I called a different company out to look at it and was given an estimate of $2500.00 for repairs and was told that it was due to settling because rock and sand were not properly installed under the raised part of the patio.

Great working with Tom. Scheduled work within days of meeting with him. Completed project quickly and the crew cleaned up the area. Looks much better! Will use again should I need landscaping services again.

Tom from Finishing Touch was great. His estimate was lower than some others we received, and not so much because he was a ton cheaper -- although his pricing was competitive -- but because his plan was less elaborate. He listened to our concerns and put together a recommendation that would fully address them for the least cost. Tom took care of the permit and inspection process. His team was very professional. They were at our house every morning by 8 or 8:30. He had estimated seven days to complete the project, and they finished in a little less than six. Everything looks good, and because we've had a warm Winter, the grass is even growing in already.

It went extremely well. He was very helpful. I would meet him at a landscaping place and he would recommend what I needed, extremely helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. The men he had doing the work were fantastic also. They knew their jobs and did excellent work, very easy to work with.

They did a nice job on the patio. We wanted it sealed but they stopped responding to our emails when we complained about the sod. The sod work is awful. They blamed us for all the problems. We had to fill in gaps with dirt and seed that were big enough to fit my entire foot. The ground is not level. These are things that weren't visible/noticeable immediately after the sod was laid (and payment was requested/collected) because the ground has to be kept very wet so we couldn't walk on it. They refused to come back and look at the sod- they just stopped responding to calls/emails.

It went great, Tom was a pleasure to work with, communicated well so I always knew what was happening. Top notch workmanship and everything was completed in a timely manner. I want to do additional landscaping in the front of the house and I already know to call Tom. Thanks Tom, Dave Shore

It took longer than I expected for Tom to start the project. I think this was partly due to the rainy weather we had in St Louis in the spring and early summer, and partly due to the number of projects Tom had. Mine was not an emergency, so it was able to wait. One thing I liked is that he did not cash my deposit check until he started the work. Once he started he finished very quickly - the project was done in 2 days. The work he did was excellent - the retaining wall is exactly what I wanted.

Tom was very personal, was happy to talk about my project, and what I could do with the rest of the yard. He made sure that he fit the project with my vision, and worked around the work I had already done. I purchased pavers on sale from Lowes, but he said they weren't going to work and had me return them - for which I'm very grateful. It was a very positive experience, and I recommend using them again. The workers did a great job, cleaned up after themselves. They worked very hard, and were obviously very thoughtful about the entire project. It was a real pleasure watching them measure the grade and laying the brick. They had some great solutions to problems I hadn't considered before starting. I'm very impressed, and very pleased. I included pictures - don't judge on the retaining wall - that's my mess.

Very smoothly. Tom was a very nice person to work with and the crew were very precise and skilled in their installation. We quickly got into enjoying this new space added to our home. We recommend their work to anyone seeking an outdoor addition to their homes.

I wrote the longest review ever and it just disappeared! I can tell you this though - don't even try another landscaping company. Call Tom and his team and you will not be disappointed. I was amazed at every turn. This is a top notch company and I will be calling them again when I need to rework my front landscaping.

Tom was amazing from the beginning of the project to the end. His ideas on what to do with my yard were exactly what I envisioned in my mind and after showing him a few pictures, he knew exactly what I wanted/needed. I was on a tight budget and he worked with me to get the price I needed. I asked him several questions before the project began and he was always quick to respond. My yard looks amazing!!! The before and after pictures are stunning. I will recommend him and use him again in the future. It all took one afternoon and the results are outstanding. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my yard now!!! From start to finish Tom and his crew were very attentive to detail. The project moved along at the pace that Tom said it would. When we hit a snag or issue Tom and his crew consulted with us and did as we requested or made suggestions as to how to best address the issue. We couldn't be more pleased! The patio is exactly what we wanted. Tom listened to us every step of the way.

We got three bids on the job and theirs was the lowest. Tom was professional from start to finish. They did great work on the project, and we are extremely happy with how it turned out. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for good work at an honest price.

There were 2 men that assisted on this project. They cleaned up after themselves, never left a mess. They did everything they said they would do and were here for 2 1/2 days (January 4-6, 2016). They worked with me on the price and I could not thank him enough. He got the type of stone I was looking for. They also put a sleeve in and created a draining system. In the spring I have planned for them to come back to replace 2 shrubs. They did an excellent job and I could not be more pleased.

I had two patios replaced with brand new pavers. They removed the old brick and concrete slab underneath the patios and replaced that with a gravel layer. This was tamped down and then sand was added and then the pavers. Polymeric sand was used in all the joints and everything was tamped down nicely. The pavers look great and are a big improvement over the previous brick. They even cut around a newly installed AC unit on the back patio and it looks like its resting perfectly on the new pavers. Tom was easy to work with from start to finish and the install crew was very hard working. I even had them do some extra paver work with the left over material and have scheduled them for further landscaping work. They were not the cheapest bid but I am very happy with my choice and the results. I would recommend Finishing Touch to anyone.

We had the front porch replaced earlier this year and the concrete folks flattened the front of the yard. Water really pooled in the front. In addition, we had an old timber/brick retaining wall that was falling apart on the side, and a very step hill to go to the side of the house that was difficult to traverse. Tom's crew regraded the yard in the front, bringing in dirt to create a grade away from the house, towards the middle of the yard where it can safely flow to the side. He then laid new sod down over the graded area, except for the row right next to the house, where we'll plant next year. They also put in drainage tile (PVC pipe and new connectors) for the front porch drainage, leading these way off to the side terminated in a pop up. The crew installed five extremely heavy, attractive natural stone steps into the hill leading to the side of the house so we can now much more easily walk to the side. In addition, they replaced the old retaining wall with a really pretty Versa Lok retaining wall. Tom specifically suggested this Versa Lok design, and he was so right. We like it so much we'll eventually use it when we replace the retaining wall in the back. They put in good drainage for it, too. That wall is not going anywhere. Lastly, they filled the areas with top soil, which will make planting so much easier next year. Tom is a busy guy, so it took a couple of months before he could start. It's worth the wait, though, because Tom really knows his stuff, and his crew is very hard working and capable. Tom's prices are also affordable, I feel we received good value for our money. Most importantly, when we had a couple of minor fixes (the connector to one of the porch downspouts leaked, and the soil under the sod wasn't as firmly packed as we wanted before the freeze hits), Tom sent his foreman out within a few days to fix the spout and run a roller over the grass. It matters when a contractor follows up if you need fixes to work. Tom's outfit will be our landscaper from this point on.
