Drury Tree Service

Price: A. Professionalism: F. Punctuality: F. The job is not yet completed. In July, per our contract the Drury crew removed the crown of the tree and part of the trunk, leaving the bottom 30 or 40 feet. They left without explanation and the trunk remained for weeks. The crew left branches on my neighbor's yard that the neighbor had to remove himself. On August 4, the Drury owner suddenly showed up and drove across my front yard in a heavy vehicle, cutting a deep furrow. He and an assistant removed the remaining trunk; the owner said I should pay not just for the tree removal but for the stump grinding; then his subcontractor would do the work. No tree service has ever asked for payment before service completion. Drury wouldn't budge, so later in August I gave them a check for the stump grinding; Drury cashed it on August 27. It is now September 24 and the service has not been done.

Showed up earlier then promised. Crew of four worked all day and were very nice. Clean up was great. Could not have been better and beat 4 other bids by quite a bit.

They did a great job, and were very responsive through text. The snow set us back a little bit, but they were out as soon as they could be.

After a few calls and about 2 months after event 2 guys spent the day getting 1/2 the sod work done. Multiple efforts to get them to finish. 1 month later came late and placed dead yellow sod on unprepared ground. Called Alec and after he left it as he was "done", called back and had 3 guys out the next day. They worked the dead sod, gave me some grass seed and said Alec told them if I watered it 14 consecutive days it would come back (they didn't water or set the sod). Workers admitted they would not use in their yard and that it had been carried around in Alec's trunk for 3 days (all good weather). Couple more calls and Alec came and replaced the sod (no water or setting of sod). I have worked the sod and it may make it. Alec made me feel like it was my fault and problem that his company had damaged my property. He made it sound like his "attempts " were more than what I deserved. Litigation to follow.

I had this service scheduled for over a month and the communication was terrible. Spoke to someone 1 week prior to confirm and was told everything was on schedule. Ameren showed up waiting called and text and finally called the main number and was told that person no longer works there and the truck was down and would have to reschedule. Absolutley poor communication and I would not recommend simply because the company nee I was on the schedule today but he forgot today was the day and a simple phone call could have prevented the logistics I needed to make for the tree removal. I recieved a decent price but at first I was given thr 5th then the 8th and my schedule revolved around this job today.

Timely on an estimate. Timely once hired to come out and complete the job. Did part one the first afternoon of removing all the branches and came back the next day to remove the trunk and grind the stump. Also removed a small Japanese maple tree that was injured in the fall of the cottonwood.

It went very well. When I first called the person I spoke with on the phone was very knowledgeable and verified all that I wanted done. They also made the arrangements for Ron to come out and give me a bid. Ron came out the same day and gave me a very fair bid on the work. The next day I spoke with Ron again and made arrangements for the work to be done on Friday August 24th. It was raining this morning but Ron called and let me know they would still be out today since the rain is suppose to pass through, which it did. They arrived and went right to work. When Ron finished on the 2 maple trees he came and got me to make sure that it what I wanted. It was perfect. The pine trees look great and I am so happy the Bradford is gone. It actually was leaning towards my garage so I was very happy to see it go. I am extremely happy and would recommend Dorsey Tree Service to everyone.

A lot of trimming on mature trees. Great clean-up, Great price. The trees look really nice. Will use again.

Ron is always on time and the job was done the next day.

Tree is in the back yard and access is challenging. Dorsey arrived on time and handled the job professionally in about 3.5 hours. Everything was cleaned up and taken care of. Very satisfied

Ron came out within two days of me calling to give me an estimate by phone. Once I notified them I wanted to use them, they got me on the schedule within a week. It was done in a day with the stump ground and the lawn in good shape. Barely any sawdust left blowing around - great clean up for such a huge tree. They showed up on time, everyone was polite and friendly, paid the estimated amount, and they were finished the same day. Great value. I will definitely hire them again.

Dorsey showed up within a day or two of me reaching out to them for a quote and did the work within a few days of giving the quote. They cleaned-up everything nicely and removed not only the branches that were cut down, but every last twig and stick as well. The price was reasonable and fair and they did a quality, timely job. Really couldn't have asked for more. [Note, date of service is approximate: occurred in Sept. 2016]. I have contacted Dorsey again for a different project as a result of their excellent service.

I like them. They are good. They are prompt. I like them. I thought it may have been fifty dollars or more, but I had wanted it off. It had fallen off my fence. The tree was dead anyway to find out. It was being held by the ivory roots on it. I am happy with the price.

Got a bid Wednesday evening that was less than 1/3 of what another contractor quoted us after finding out it was an "insurance job". Dorsey team of 3 guys showed up this morning (Friday) and got the whole job done within 2 hours. Did a great job of removing all debris and even went back up in our very tall oak to remove some other dead branches for me. Highly recommended!

Writing this review as work is being done, watching work being done. Arrived when they said they would,( 11:30am ) called an hour before. Live on a narrow street, neighbor"s car parked on street, not at home to move car, so far managing to work, not blocking traffic, (live on cul-de-sac ) .One person in bucket, two removing debris as it falls. Cutting branches with chain saw, leaving a shape to the tree,one side done, moved truck to do other side.have finished trimming, doing final clean up. Tree looks good, will fill out nicely. Went very well. One worker drove bucket truck away, two workers using blower & rake to clean sidewalk and street.Bucket truck came back to get rest of debris.

Excellent service!!!!!!!!! Came right out to give an estimate for the work that needed to be done. Started and completed work shortly after. Very professional. Did a fantastic job my tree.

We called them and they came out and gave a bid on the same day. We called them back that same day and offered them the job. It took less than a week from quote to completion. Unheard of. They retured one week later to remove the massive tree. Dorsey and crew arrived on time, well equipped, moved swiftly and expertly. Cleaned up after they left. It was as if the trees were never there (they grounded all stumps. OMG!). Not once were we ever uncomfortable. Actually we were delighted with their ease and professionalism. In a word, we were LUCKY to have the experience. Never did we feel that our property was in jeapordy. We have more work for them next year. Flawless. Similar to performance art. A sight to behold. Our yards have been returned to what the designers originally intended as those trees never belonged there.
