Description of Work: UPDATE TO REPORT MADE ON 7/3/12 After I posted the first review on Auto Rain they called to make an appt. to come and finish the work. In all fairness to this Company I'm upgrading the previous negative posting. They called & came out on the same day completing the work and did a great job. Our system is working just fine now, in fact, they finished up our neighbor's job within the same week as well. We appreciate their hard work very much! The only reason I didn't give them an A is their previous failure to return our calls promptly to let us know what was going on & when we could expect them to finish the work. We would have understood if they had only communicated with us.

Description of Work: Auto Rain was called to start our irrigation system for the season. They came out and got it running but there were some problems with one station in particular. After several visits and no resolution to the problem I called again to have someone out and have not heard back from them. We just recently paid for a service contract - BIG MISTAKE! We have been using this company for over 12 years and were satisfied with their service up until the last couple of years. I don't think we'll be using them in the future. Our neighbor has also had problems with them not returning her calls so she has terminated any further dealings with them.

Description of Work: Had this company out in April to give me an estimate, along with two others. They were basically the same price as one of the other company's but I decided to go with Automatic Rain because it was a smaller company. I wanted to support small business and thought I would get better service as well. When I signed the contract I was told it would be five weeks before install. The owner said he'd tell the secretary to put me on the schedule. Five weeks later I hadn't heard a word from them so I called and left a message asking when the install would take place. Didn't receive a call back so I called again. This time I got the secretary and she told me she didn't know when it would be done cause the owner did the scheduling??????? Finally, five weeks later I still hadn't heard a word so I sent an email canceling the install due to lack of performance. I immediately get a reply email from the secretary saying she wasn't sure what happened but if I would reconsider she was sure it could get straightened out. After waiting ten weeks I don't think there's much need in reconsidering, especially now that we're into such a hot, dry period.
