+ -1 moreWe do not feel we received value for Armstrong's services. We could have done a better job ourselves.
Description of Work: For the relatively high price, Armstrong's report contained only checked boxes, no additional information at all. However, even under that rudimentary system, the quality of the work was completely unacceptable. Armstrong missed obvious signs of a leaking roof, inadequately functioning plumbing throughout the house, a front door that wouldn't open from the inside (a fire hazard as well as an inconvenience) and a humidifier that was beyond repair and had wiring that was not up to code. The contractors who performed the repair work communicated to us that they were amazed that our home inspector missed these problems, and one suggested that we ask for our money back. However, Armstrong requires its customers to sign a contract which essentially gives them a right of first refusal to make repairs, and there was no way we were letting these people back in our home. We just hope we can save others from the frustration we have experienced.

home inspection
+ -1 moreHe works thoroughly and found items I would not even think about. I followed him around for the two and a half hours we were in the home and he pointed everything out to me; good and bad. Most important was the roof and chimney (I did not go on the roof.) He emailed me his report the next day as well as a check list for my follow up visit. The seller agreed to fix everything on the list!
