Abbco Plumbing & Drain

Jonathan, from Abbco plumbing, came here today to clean out a drain. He could not have been more professional or pleasant. Definitely an asset to the company. If I need anything in the future, will definitely request him. Greatly appreciated, he saved the day and made a stressful situation a little less stressful.

Prompt turnaround, clean, professional! Had discussion day of finding leak regarding better way to route shower pipe when finish water clean up - had very good suggestions.

They were excellent. The guy represented them well. They were cooperative and did an excellent job overall.

Showed up on time and did an excellent job on the install. They took care of getting the permits and brought everything up to code. Afterwards, he took the time to answer some plumbing questions and give me an idea on price for replacing our 20 plus year old hot water tank whenever it started to go. Everything passed inspection for the city of Ballwin. Very happy with the service.

They sent out two guys who showed up on time and were very pleasant. They told me what would need to be done to bring the old system up to code and asked if the current tank was holding enough hot water. It wasn't and I asked about installing a larger tank. They put in the larger tank, adding the expansion tank, upgraded our humidifier and refrigerator water lines with new valves. Unfortunately, our water pressure was super high (high enough to cause damage to the new expansion tank and appliances) and we discovered the water pressure regulating valve that was installed on the main water line in the house was broken. It was pretty old. I gave them the okay to install it after they called about the price. They ran out and got the part as well as parts to fix a leaky hose bib, (I asked them if they could fix while they were there). They came back shortly to finish the job. Their job was top notch. All of their work passed the inspection for the city of Ballwin. The hot water tank they put in has allowed all five of us to take back to back showers without running out of water and the temperature regulator on the tank is even set at the lower setting. This is the second time I have used them and have been overly impressed both times. They were recommended to my by another great company that I found on Angie's List. I found their price to be on par for the work they were doing.

Called at about 10 AM service man arrived with in 30 minutes. Cleaned our drain line and was out by 12:30 PM.

I've done business with them in the past. They were fully scheduled, so I had to use RG Plumbing (see review below). I always have a great experience with them and they are my preferred plumber.

They did not reconnect the drain underneath the sink and that resulted in a secondary leak. It took a while to contact them but they did come back out and fix the problem. There has been no problem since.

I contacted Beckmann Plumbing on Friday morning 2/25. I spoke with office personnel to explain my situation. The office personnel seemed to be very friendly and professional. I explained that I had a possible leak originating from behind master bedroom bath vanity. I mentioned that I was referred to this company by Angies List. The office personnel informed me that Craig was unavailable. However, she took my call back phone numbers and assured me that Craig would return my call before 2:30 that same afternoon. I never received a call back from this company. Needless to say, I was very disappointed by this behavior!!!!!! I will not consider Beckmann Plumbing for service again!!!!!!

We encountered a clog in our kitchen sink drain which I was not able clear myself using my personal tools. We selected Beckmann as they are a local firm with a very good rating in Angie's List. The initial contact was very professional: they could get out right away, but the price seemed quite high to me at about $150 minimum. We proceeded given the firm's rating and I thought that a full plumber would be sent out at that rate. We have other plumbing work to be done, so I thought we would try them out and perhaps select them for the other work we need. My wife took off work the day they were supposed to arrive. Half an hour after the scheduled arrival time, she called and found out the receptionist had quit and did not put our job on the calendar. To their credit, they did scramble and got someone out that day. The person was not a plumber, but a drain technician. Consequently we were unable to discuss our other plumbing issues with them. He got the job done and was very neat and clean. Since we paid what I consider to be a premium full-plumber price but did not receive the benefits of having a full plumber, I will not choose Beckman for my other near-term plumbing needs.

I called at 8:00 in the morning and receptionist said they could have someone out that day. She called and said he was on his way (sorry, I'm not good at remembering names). Worker arrived, at 11:00, very courteous and quoted me a different price of $200. I informed him I was given an estimate of $55 for service and $98 per hour. That is what he agreed to and not charge for parts (which I'm sure couldn't have been much). The job from start to finish took about 20 minutes which is why I probably would not hire them again. $153 for 20 minutes was a little steep. I'll ask more questions next time. He was paid and out the door by 11:30.

Did a spectacular job!

Great. He arrived on time and started working right away. He did some of the work, then had to go to store to purchase some drain pipes he needed. He completed all jobs in one afternoon. The only thing I noticed was he did not clean the work area when he was done. I almost hate to mention it because the jobs were all completed so fast and professional.

I thought that they were very good and they were on time. They stuck to their quote. They were easy to work with and they explained things to me. I couldn't ask for anything better and I would recommend them.

Beckmann Plumbing was able to send someone to my house the day I called about the issue. The plumber had the part on his truck and fixed it right then.

The faucet could not be turned off - the only way to stop the water was to shut off the water to the whole house. I started down through Angie's list and was turned down by a number of companies and told by some that they would call back. It was getting past noon and I needed to have water in the house. I called Beckmann and was told that they didn't know if they had anyone who could come immediately but would call me back. They called within 20 minutes and told me that Brian would be at the house within 30 minutes. Brian was on-time, very pleasant, knowledgeable. He repaired the faucet and got the water back on and was out the door in 30 minutes. Thank you Beckmann.

I was really impressed by the guy who cut open the wall to get to the stacks. They were very precise and the control over the debris and collateral damage was kept to a minimum. Copper plumbing was done very well and skillfully.

They did a great job. Where another plumber was going to charge me $4000 to jackhammer the floor and tear out a lot, Beckmann took care of it without any tearing out.

Their service was outstanding. They came to assess the situation, then sent two plumbers the next day to first cable the drain. When that didn't clear the clog, they manually located the block in the trap and replaced it. They were diligent in their assessment and repair work, working in an extremely small area in the wall between our two bathrooms, since the house is a slab. We previously received estimates from another plumbing company that were over several thousand dollars and would have required tearing up our bathroom floor. This would have been a major undertaking because of the radiant heat system in the house foundation. Beckmann saved us so much through their hard work and resourcefulness. We are grateful to them for their help and will call on them in the future for all our plumbing needs.

GREAT! Timely estimate--the day after I called. The elder Mr. Beckman actually called that evening around 7:00 pm to give me the estimate. So far it is the lowest. Great experience overall.

BECKMANN WAS GREAT. CALLED THEM ON A MONDAY MORNING AND THEY HAD SOMEONE AT MY HOUSE THE SAME DAY. THEY SUBCONTRACTED THE DRAIN CLEANING WORK TO ANOTHER COMPANY. JOHN WAS NICE, POLITE AND CLEANED UP. WHEN THE DRAIN BEGAN TO BACK UP AGAIN A WEEK LATER, DAD BECKMANN SENT A DIFFERENT DRAIN CLEANER OUT. TWO HOURS LATER THE DRAIN WAS UNPLUGGED, BUT HE LEFT QUITE A MESS. AFTER ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN, I CALLED BECKMANN AND DAD BECKMANN SENT ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES TO HELP ME CLEAN, WHICH HE ACTUALLY DID MOST OF THE WORK. VERY NICE YOUNG MAN AND HE ALSO COMMENTED THE MESS SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN LEFT. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, THEY DID NOT CHARGE ONE EXTRA DIME. SO I RECEIVED TWO HOURS OF DRAIN CLEANING AND AT LEAST AN HOUR OF CLEANUP AT BECKMANNS' EXPENSE. OBVIOUSLY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO THIS FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED BUSINESS. AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN BUSINESS, THEY WILL BE THE PLUMBING COMPANY I CALL IN THE FUTURE. PLUMBERS CAN BE SCARY, IT'S GOOD TO KNOW THEY ARE NOT.

CRAIG WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL WHEN ASSESSING WORK TO BE DONE. MIKE WAS VERY COMPETENT, AND EASY TO TALK TO ABOUT THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS HE ENCOUNTERED. HE GAVE A GREAT DEAL OF ADVICE, AND INFORMATION WHEN ASKED. WAS PATIENT, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THIS COMPANY DEMONSTRATES GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE IN EVERY WAY.
