Mike was recommended through a friend. And first everything was good. After having several delays, then having to redo things, plus lack of some of the workers knowledge, it was finished. Called back two times concerned about our front gate fence not being flush, but was told after it settled would be fine. It was not ok, and 9 months later am still trying to get in touch. I have left numerous voice mails, not one response. We aren't even looking for free, just an estimate to fix it or suggestions. Buyer beware. I should have read the reviews.

Mike Scott was prompt in taking my call, then showed up to bid the job. He was eager to take my deposit. After that, it was all down hill. The next 30 days was excuse after excuse and broken promise after broken promise. 5 different occasion Mike said he would be there first thing in the morning and no showed every single time. Now he will not return a call or refund my deposit. DO NOT TRUST OR HIRE HIM

We just moved into our first house and knew one of the first things we had to do was replace this rickety old fence. It looked so horrible and since we live near a major intersection in Affton, it was embarrassing for the whole neighborhood. The Fence Doctor, Michael Scott, came out and gave us a quote and it was less than half the major fence folks in town charge AND using the same materials. We chose vinyl but he also gave us a quote for wood. He does all types of fences and will help you stay in budget. Since it’s March, we had to keep an eye on the weather and work around it and Mike kept the lines of communication open. They were here and working as soon as the weather allowed. Our fence was installed within about a week of closing on our house. We got about 100 foot of fence put in and they came one day to tear out the old fence and came back the next day to put in the new. That was it. Shocking how quickly such a high quality fence went in. The gentlemen that came out and did the work, Jeremy & Clay, were absolutely professional and thoughtful and best of all they totally cleaned up after themselves. I mean every single thing is gone and every hole is filled in and it’s like they weren’t even here. You hear stories about contractors but the only stories you will hear from us is how charming they were. Small businesses like the Fence Doctor thrive on word-of-mouth so I will be telling everyone to trust them to get your job done beautifully. The photos tell the real story. Thanks Fence Doctor!

I did not hire them, I called for an estimate to rehang a wooden gate and repair a chain link fence and gate. The fence repair involved damage to the side rails (they are bent) and posts damaged by a vehicle. The wooden gate is old, but I just requested it be rehung. The reprehensive came out to do an estimate, but would not even entertain my plan of repairing the chain link gate and rehanging the wooden gate, but Insisted the only thing possible was replacement, and he gave me an estimate for that, even though the damage repairs are DIY type jobs. Perhaps this company should not advertise that they do repairs and that "no job is too big or too small"

Mike quoted us $1200 to repair our leaning, sagging, crooked aluminum fence (13 fence posts needed new footing, 1 needing repair). The job was the make it level and straight. He sent a crew of 2 guys who spent a bit less than 1.5 hours on the project with only some concrete provided. They did fix the lean and sag but the fence was still crooked, and they didn't attempt to fix that. A broken fence post was not repaired as bid out. I complained about this to Mike and said that $1200 would be fine if they actually fixed the fence per the job request, but he suggested he just keep the $500 deposit and leave the fence as-is without completing the rest of the job. I accepted that.

He was definitely a guy's guy. They had to come back to redo the fence and it took them two days to do it.
