It was bad. His demeanor was horrible. I thought he was a horrible, old man. I told him I couldn't get to something and he said to go to a search website. I asked him to show me how to do it and he said emphatically "no." It was horrible. It was no way to conduct a business. It took him from Tuesday and Wednesday. He was closed on Thursday. I was there Friday and Saturday. I had to go back on a Monday. If he acted like he valued me being a customer, I would have taken it all aside.
Description of Work: He was supposed to change Vista to Windows 7.

I have purchased a computer, tablet and most recently a tablet from CompuTech. Computech is a small, overcrowded little store, but the owner and technician do a good job. My fair professionalism score was due the physical environment and the fact that they get a bit hassled sometimes. The fact that they explain your problem to you and provide reasonably priced service balances the junky look of the store. When I took my the computer in, I thought it would be several days before we got it back. Fortunately, The owner plugged it in, let me copy the files I needed on to a flash drive and started re-installing the operating system right way. He called me to let me know it was ready an hour before they closed and I was able to pick up the computer and get it back to my mother the same day. It is working stable and faster. There are usually several people in the store trying to talk to the technician. He manages to answer everyone's questions. They sell new and used computers. They have free 30 day layaway. I purchased a tablet from them a few months ago. It stopped working and because Computech committed to a 1 year full warranty, they are replacing it even though the manufacturer;s warranty had expired. I will continue to do business with them.
Description of Work: My Mom's Dell computer running Windows XP was locking up frequently. It was becoming very difficult to get anything accomplished on it. The technician determined that the problem was not a hardware issue. He wiped the hard drive and reinstalled Windows.
