The first time the contractor showed up, he took measurements and immediately gave me an estimate. The price he quoted was considerably less than bids from other local contractors. I asked him about the need to repair or replace a clogged culvert at the end of the drive. He estimated that it would add another $900 to the project, but advised me to contact the county road department instead. The county performed work that made replacement of the culvert unnecessary. The contractor's crews showed up on the days promised and finished on time and on budget. The crew cleaned up after themselves and left the work site looking as good as when they arrived. I don't know how the pavement will hold up in the future, but it looks good now. To all appearances, the quality of the work is excellent and I expect it to give good service for a long time.
Description of Work: He graded a 100-yard gravel driveway and additional 900-square foot parking area, removed old gravel, laid and compacted a layer of base rock, then placed 3 inches of asphalt.
