We were told it would be $300 for the work to be done. The stump is still sitting in our yard and they have billed us $500.00. They said that they were charging us more because it took them longer than expected to remove it, but we do not feel that that is fair because they were the ones that misquoted the work and took the extra time to remove it. We were also told that they would reseed around the area, but all they did was throw straw done; they did not do what they would say. They were not honest regarding any of the work. They were very pleasant when they were here, but everything else has been unsatisfactory.
Description of Work: We hired them to remove a tree stump.

The company bought in dirt as we were building a pole barn. They built and leveled the pad for the pole barn. They also bought in gravel to make an adjoining driveway for the pole barn.

I had a leak in my basement, Alan was referred to me by Brad with preferred plumbing to do some dirtwork to redirect water away from my house, he gave me a quote of $2,000, while doing the work he broke the line to my propane, had it fixed and charged me, he tore out my side walk, didn't replace it, had my a/c unit moved, charged me, after it was moved it quit working, he told me there was a stick in it and it needed replaced, he plowed down several trees that he didn't have premission to do, he would leave saying his equipment needed repaired and he would have to finish later, this happened several times, this went on for several months, he would call saying he needed more money to finish the job, the final cost was $7,000, he left my home in a mess, I have no sidewalk because of course he needed more money to replace that, my a/c does not work, it will take 20 years for new trees to grow to the size of the ones he destroyed and my basement still leaks. I would never refer him to anyone, he is incompetent!

The workers were average. They were kind of sloppy in their work. I thought they were more interested in the money than the job, but it looks like I got pretty good concrete. The finished product is reasonable but I wouldn't hire them again. This is just like a part time job for him.
Description of Work: I used Dirt Works Excavating to put in a new driveway. They tore up the old one and hauled it away.
