Mike was great?he diagnosed the issue with my exterior light which wasn't working properly, suggested a solution, and fixed it. He also replaced some old light switches inside my home which were going bad. Super nice guy, courteous and my dogs loved him; I trusted him in my home and would gladly work with him again.
Description of Work: Great electrician, nice guy

I've been using Town & Country Electric for years so I didn't need to get and estimate or quote since they've provided great service at a fair and competitive price. I called them, told them what I needed done, agreed on a date, they showed up, I showed them around, they got to work, completed quickly without disturbing me, cleaned up and left. In my mind, that's the ideal experience.
Description of Work: installed 4 fixtures, 2 dimmers, repaired two can lights

Mike Howard, a bonded electrician, who has been in business for 15+ years and owns the business, came the next day and installed the 4-wire electrical cord on the backside of the dryer and also hooked up my new dryer vent tubing. He arrived early and called beforehand to tell my when he would arrive. He went right to work and quickly completed the tasks at hand and charged a very reasonalbe rate since the pigtail itself cost $22 + tax. He also noted that the dryer probably had a bearing going out since it was loud and gave me the name of another vendor who repairs appliances at a reasonalbe price. I like supporting local small businesses, which was the case with Town & Country Electric (telephone: 816-803-3334). I found his work to be exceptional -- and routinely it must be -- since he stays busy each day and does not advertise except by word of mouth.
Description of Work: I am new to Lee's Summit, MO, having moved here from a northern state and needed to replace the existing 3-wire electrical pigtail (on the backside of my old Maytag dryer that goes to the 220 outlet in my new apartment) with a modern and safer 4-wire connection, since the apartment outlet was a four-wire. Knowing no one, I took out a monthly subscription, as I have done in the past, to "Angie's List," and found 'Town & Country Electric,' located within approximately 5 miles of the apartment that I am renting.

The first appointment he never showed up for. He didn't call me, or return any of my calls. A few days later he finally answered, but I think it was by accident, and told me he was having car trouble. He has dodged my calls for a week now and not gotten back with me. My Realtor and husband have both called him, and he hasn't gotten back with either of them. He was scheduled to come again on May 1st, which is today, and I still have not heard from him.
Description of Work: He had installed an electrical box for me about ten years ago. We are getting ready to move and the home inspector said that it was not installed correctly. I called him to come fix the main and sub panels.

Mike was the second electrician I'd contacted about adding power on the second floor of our new old house. The first one wanted to wrap conduit around the exterior. It was a good sign that Mike answered my first call while in someone else's attic. He was able to add seven outlets upstairs and left just two small holes for me to repair. He was fast, too, completing everything in seven hours over two days. We're planning to update the electrical service to add additional AC for the second floor. I'll be calling Town and Country when the time comes.
Description of Work: Added eight grounded outlets, replaced exterior outlet with GFI, added a light fixture in a closet and corrected some wiring in the breaker box.

It went very well. Mike from prompt, very professional and worked fast. He charged by the hour and did more than I expected.
Description of Work: Mike Howard replaced a 1-30 amp D.P. breaker on my breakerbox, installed 2 F clips to secure a loose plug and replaced a duplex plug. He also isolated a power problem with an outdoor light which I decided not to fix.

I made an appointment with them to install 2 outdoor light fixtures. They didn't show up, didn't call, & didn't return my phone calls. Very unprofessional & I resent waiting for several hours & having my time wasted.

MIKE HOWARD HAS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND PATIENT. HE DID THE FIRST PART OF THE WORK IN APRIL - REWIRING THE ROOM WHEN THE WALLS WERE DOWN TO STUDS. HE RETURNED TO ADD OUTLETS AND WILL RETURN AGAIN TO ADD LIGHT FIXTURES. HE HAS REFUSED PAYMENT UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETE. HE ALLOWED ME TO WORK WITH HIM TO SAVE TIME ON THE JOB. HE IS A SKILLED ELECTRICIAN WITH EXPERTISE IN WIRING THE HOME FOR INTERNET, CABLE AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS. IT'S A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH HIM.
Description of Work: REWIRED ROOM BEING REMODELED. ADDED NEW OUTLETS AND NEW TRACK LIGHTING. PRICE IS ESTIMATED AS I HAVEN'T YET PAID FOR THE WORK.
