Chris's team is surgical in their precision. The work was exceptional. The lines were clean and perfect and the baseboards looked brand new after they were done. It absolutely made a significant difference in the sale price of our home.

As I stated before Chris is professional, knowledgeable and excellent at painting anything having to do your home.

This was a great experience and it made our house look new again. We live in an upscale HOA and all of our neighbors talk about how good the paint job looks. Chris went out of his way to do the extra little things such as replacing the trim wood underneath the doorways at no extra charge. Great professional, Great company!!

Chris was punctual and thorough. He power washed and painted the deck and trim. A couple of areas needed repair, and he took care of it. It took two days due to the size of my deck. This is the second time I used him. I will use Chris again next year.

I wouldn't recommend them. I had a major remodel done. Initially, they started out really well, but then they didn't come back and do the final touch-ups. I had called them to come back, and they said they would come back, but they wouldn't come back. We with held $500 of their payment, but there was so much touch-up, I think they decided to forego it, than do the necessary things. I found them on Angie's List. If I needed more painting, I would not use them again. It wasn't cheap. When they were coming for the week, they were on time, but they didn't show for the touch-up. The lady said that she was going to come out, and check on the crew. She came out once, and then I never saw here again. The crew was good, on time, but there was touch-up that they needed to come back and do. I called them, said they'd get me scheduled, call me back, but they never did. This was a major remodel and we had so many things going on. I didn't have the energy to fight that battle. They were very punctual. They were supposed to sand the doors and they didn't. The doors are very rough. It wasn't their level of expertise, and I think they should have been upfront about that. They need to come back and finish the job. They didn't complete the job. A guy did come out, but he said that he just came to pick-up some stuff. He saw what needed to be touched up.

It went great. Took 3 days before Thanksgiving. We were able to move right away.

Very happy with the end result. Not happy with the extremes I had to go through to get someone to acknowledge the coupon after the initial estimate. Hence my overall B rating. Once that problem was resolved and Chris (owner) contacted me, everything went smoothly. I highly suspect that the coupon did not cover the entire cost of all the areas painted, even though Chris repeatedly assured me it did. I was willing and prepared to pay the extra. I think he did that because of the communication problems we experienced after the initial estimate. Once we get more repairs done , I will use them to complete the house later this year.

They were professional and did a good job.

Alkema Painting sent two painters, who were here for three days. The first day they pressure washed and prepped the house, days two and three the painted the house and trim. They were punctual, professional and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the result!

Crew arrived early every day! Very impressed with that. I didn't care for the fact that I had to run and get paint at the last minute, but that could have been a miscommunication between myself and the company. The crew was professional and did a great job. I would use them again in the future. The neighbors have been commenting on how good the house looks. Got a great Angies List deal.

The provider called right away and we set up appointment for them to come out for final estimate. While there they noticed home still in very good shape but were happy to do the job and to call when ready to begin. I thought about it for a while and decided to delay the work as we have other home improvements we want to do first now. Very happy with this provider service and honesty. Thanks

I gave them the dates of preferred service on Sept 27th. They responded saying someone would get back with me. I did not hear from them. We did speak over the phone and I sent them pictures, however we have never set an appointment date. I keep getting the nice office manager Dorene White who tells me Dianna schedules the appointments, but she is never available.

After purching the 999.00 package through angies list I recieved a call from Alkema and soon after someone came out to look at my home. After looking at my home the estimator determined that it would cost more than the discounted price of the package because I had some dry rot which they would need to replace with new siding, the package also did not include painting the door or awning of my house and that cost a little extra. I had gotten prior estimates from other companies that had qouted me prices of 2500 or more to paint the house and add new siding to replace the dry rot. I was very satisfied with the final cost which was about $1700.00 not including the paint that I had to purchase which came to about 250.00. Although it cost me more than the $999.00 I feel that I still payed less than what I would have paid without the angies list discount. The painter was on time and it only took 2 1/2 days to complete the job. I am very satisfied with the way my home looks and I would use Alkema again for future project.

Met with estimator Deanna Crain who is very personable and took her time to answer all questions clearly and completely. Deanna also helped choose the color palette as well as recommended that my gutter installation (being done by a separate contractor) be completed first, which was a wise decision. Workers showed up promptly each day and cleaned up before leaving. Painters James and Jorge did an excellent job and were very polite and professional. James is very detail oriented and made sure that the paint lines transitioning from light to dark ("pop outs" which are part of the exterior elevation vs the main body of the home) were clean and tight. Any areas that I noted needing touch up were done without any excuses or push back. All in all the painters did an excellent job and I've received many positive comments about the work. There were no overspray areas or paint drops on the concrete surrounding the property and the final clean up was done to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Alkema Painting for your residential painting project.

I purchased a Big Deal. Alkema came out and gave me a quote. They indicated that they would not be able to do the work for some time. I needed it done asap.

Alkema Painting did a superb job, and the service was worth every penny. My house was in bad shape on the outside with some of the trim warping and pulling away from the siding, as well as caulking required for just about every seam. The house was built in 2002, however was only given a minimal coat which did not bode well in the sun over those years. The backyard awning looked weathered and worn. I had several contractors provide an estimate, and Alkema was slightly higher than the other two, but I chose to go with them because of their outstanding customer service. They answered the phone every time I called, and followed up with me at many points prior to and during the actual painting. Deanna was slightly late (20 minutes) to the initial meeting due to traffic, but called ahead to let me know she was on her way. When she arrived, she was professionally dressed, very knowledgeable of the services provided, and answered all of my questions fully. I am active duty in the military, and work about 45 minutes away from my home, so punctuality, professionalism, and dependability were all very important to me. The other two contractors either didn't pick up their phone, returned my phone calls a full day later, or showed up covered in paint. It was an obvious choice to go with Alkema. The painters arrived every day at 730 and left around 330. It took them 4.5 days to complete the work, and were immediately responsive to any touchup request that I had. I ended up adding a clear coat stain for the awning to give it a more finished look, which looks great! In the end, my house looks brand new. The trim was either screwed back in or replaced, and all seams were caulked. The colors turned out perfect, and none of it ended up where it shouldn't be! They cleaned up after themselves, and thanked me for choosing Alkema. WELL DONE ALKEMA!!!

I am very recent member of Angie's list and finding a painter was my first endeavor. I met with about 10 painters, some recommended by friends and acquaintances, and several of them from Angie's list. The Alkema estimator, Deanna, was very professional and was most effective in communicating verbally as well as in written contract form what exactly would be done. Only one other company, an Angie's list company, communicated the details of the job in a similar effective manner. This professionalism as well as the competitive bid was the deciding factors in my choice of Alkema. The house looks great. I really appreciated the little details that were done by the Alkema workers that were not in the contract or verbally requested. Deanna was in touch with me almost daily over the five day course of the work and always addressed any concerns I had.

Alkema Painting did the interior of my home, walls, ceiling, and baseboards. From start to finish, it was awesome. When Deanna came to do the estimate with me, she arrived in a timely manner and with a pleasant attitude. And, was there for me throughout the whole process. I contacted them and got a response back the very next day. They were out the day after that to see what the scope of work was. They were on time and did not keep me waiting. Once the initial appointment was done I received their quote within 24 hours. They were very competitive with the other quotes. But it was there outstanding customer service that sealed the deal. From the word go they were there to answer any questions or concerns I had. Once the colors had been picked out they scheduled the start date. Once the work began they were here everyday on time. Their painters were very professional and friendly and answered all of my questions. They made sure to keep the house clean as they were painting. And at the end of each day they cleaned up everything. The job took one week and my wife and I were and still are very satisfied. It couldn't have been a better experience. If there is a ever a need for us to do more painting I will not hesitate to call them. I would recommend them to anyone that I know and don't know.

Chris the owner of Alkema was the one that did the work. He brought out samples of what we wanted to see. He even did a test piece just to make sure that it was what we wanted to have done. He answered all of our questions and walked us through the process and what to expect. Once the work began he was on time, calling ahead to make sure we knew he was on his way. And once there he was professional and did an amazing job. They turned out better than we thought that they would. I would recommend this company to anyone that I know.
