I am still without a stove or refrigerator, and he has refused to return my money. He did repair my garage door, but has not done any work on my appliances or my air duts.
Description of Work: They came out to repair my stove and refrigerator. They also repaired some air ducts in my attic.

Clarence Duncan, owner of Complete Home Services, LLC came to our home on 3-16-2013 to give us an estimate for replacing old heat pumps. I came in contact with him on line via Quality Smith web site while I was researching for estimates. We had already had one estimate. Clarence came across as being a very friendly, trustworthy person that had been in business along time and represented the business as being huge with lots of workers. He spoke of doing criminal background checks on workers. He really conned us good and we made a very stupid mistake by hiring this man and paying him in advance. STUPID!!! I did go to his web site and check him out ( completehomeservicesllc.com) I was starting having doubts about him even before he was to start the job. On his web site he lists 3 phone numbers (Cape Girardeau, Poplar Bluff, and Jonesboro areas). When I called the numbers they all went to his cell phone. Then I looked for address of office in Poplar Bluff, MO and there was not one. I talked to him on phone and told him I was concerned, he kept reassuring me everything would be fine and we would get everything he promised us. Well on first day he came to our house at around 9:30 AM and the delivery for the HP units did not happen until late in the afternoon so nothing was accomplished. Anyway that was the first day and from then on one thing after another happened. He was told before he started the job that my husband was going on fishing trip on 3-31-2013. He said that would be no problem he could complete job in 3 days. He had 11 days and still did not complete. He just kept coming up with excuse after excuse. Tempers did flare but when you are out $8500 and was lied to as much as we were it is only human. Only contact recently with Clarence has been via email, won't answer phone. My husband was back on 04-07-13. I had emailed Clarence on 4-06-13 and told him he would be back to schedule a time for him to finish job as I did not want him at my home alone while I was working and husband was gone. He first emailed and said he was booked until Thursday (4-11-2013) I emailed him back twice before he answered to find out what time he would be here. He said 8:30-9:30 am. I emailed him back and said thank you, see you Thursday. Then on 4-10-2013 we received an email from Clarence starting with more excuses to why not coming on and finishing job. At that time I emailed him back and told him of my ongoing doubts of his business and requested a refund. He did not respond. From the beginning he has been the only one here working on our house except his father-in-law was here 2 days and helped some but that was all even though he made reference several time to having a crew of men. Never saw any! On 4-11-2013 we had another heating and air man come and inspect the units and work and that is when we found the units was put in the wrong place and had wrong sized pipes. . Bottom line this man is not to be trusted and we were taken for lots of money and have gone through lots of stress over this encounter.
Description of Work: Services that was to be performed per invoice: 1] Install 2 new Amana HP package units 14 SEER. Move existing 2.5 ton unit to shop. Remove and haul away all old equipment. Qualifies for Ozark Border rebates. Inspect and repair duct work in crawl. 2] Install new Tankless water heater by American Direct Heat. 5 year parts and labor. 3] 10 year parts and labor warranty on heating and cooling systems (2) 4] 2 year maintenance plan on new systems only-spring and fall tune ups. This invoice and agreement was done on 3-16-2013. Work was to begin on 3-20-2013 and to be completed on 3-22-2013. As of 4-13-2013 work is not completed. He did start installing Amana Distinction HP units but did not complete and installed units in wrong place. 3 ton was to be in front (largest part of house and 2 ton in back) He did it opposite. He never insulated duct work or finished duct work and used wrong size pipes. The units was dented and damaged, but he said that was no problem he would get the parts to fix them, but never did even though he said parts was in many times. He did not move previous 2.5 ton unit to shop as he said he would. And did not remove or haul away old equipment. He did install water heater, but it has leaked and not worked right from beginning. Water has cold and hot spurts. Tankless water heaters require water softeners and he told us that would come with it and we never saw one even after multiple times he said we would get one. We never received rebate information from him even after multiple requests verbally and also via email, he would say he would send and never would. As far as the warranty and maintenance plan goes, very doubtful since he has lied about everything else.
