+ -1 moreService was very good. We are confident this company knows its business well. The only recommendation we have is to improve pre-service communications with the client. We spoke with multiple people before the job using a single phone number, but they had not always communicated with each other. This led to a little confusion prior to the service being completed.

Description of Work: They pour asphalt on top of a crumbling concrete drive. It looks very nice and they were very prompt and courteous.

+ -1 moreThey were really friendly, prompt and easy to work with and did the work within a week of providing an estimate. But the best part: they were about $5000 cheaper than the other contractors from whom I had bids. They were recommended here and that's why I called them. Seriously, Angie's List saved me a huge amount of money!
Description of Work: General Asphalt ripped out the existing driveway and installed a driveway and (new) parking spot at my house in Weston, MO.

After deciding that this company was the best choice for the job, they were contacted and a date was set up. The job was completed and I am very happy with the results. I may have need for some asphalt work in the future and plan to contact General for that work.
Description of Work: I needed to have my long driveway sealed and cracks filled.

+ -1 moreWe spent around $5400. The good things were the they were very responsive, they took my phone call, they came out and did an estimate and stuck to it. They called me back within a week to schedule the job, their pricing was, outstanding, they were a good 30 to 50% lower than I had expected after doing some checking around. They showed up on time, did a good quality job and they're a family-run business; it's father-son and a worker who helps out and the wife does some of the contracts and they were really great to work with. There were a few little thing that we waned done that were a bit different than a straightforward driveway and they were very accommodating and helped us out with everything.
Description of Work: I used General Asphalt & Paving about 2 weeks ago to do our driveway.

+ -1 moreI'm very happy with the final product. They did an efficient but quality job, and were pleasant to work with throughout the scheduling process. They were responsive, professional and helpful and I'm relieved with the final result (it was an update that I fretted about).
Description of Work: I had a very damaged driveway that required repair or replacement and filled out several online inquiries for estimates including both concrete and asphalt. This group was one of two service providers for asphalt that responded to my inquiry (one other estimate for concrete was provided). The other four asphalt groups that I reached out to did not reply or acknowledge the request for an estimate. General Asphalt was quick to visit my property and provided an estimate and explanation of services. Their estimate was less than half of the other quote I received for asphalt and a quarter of the price for the concrete quote I received. I have no point of comparison for this service or the appropriate price for it, so I was concerned at the vast price range. For my home and location, the investment in the concrete simply did not make sense for my home value. I decided to go with the lower quote, and could not be happier with my decision!
