The two gentlemen who came to inspect and video my chimney were very polite, helpful, and explained my situation thoroughly to me. Although the outcome was not what I was hoping for, they provided solution oriented advice and we will proceed from here.

I hired this company on Home Advisor recommendation. When the person (Mike) arrived, he wanted to check the chimney outside first. He then said he wouldn't clean my fireplace because it had not been cleaned properly previously and he would need an additional $275 dollars and a reschedule. He would just charge me $95 for the camera and inspection. I foolishly paid him the $95. He was to send me an email receipt and photo that he said was of the inside of the fireplace. As of now I have not received the email. He did raise his estimate to $375 on the receipt he showed me on his ipad. Interestingly, about 1/2 hour ago I received an email requesting a review of their work. It has now disappeared from my email and iphone. My mistake in trusting home advisor. I won't make that mistake again.

Gentleman was very knowledgeable about fireplaces. He was also friendly and answered all my questions.

They are happy to repair minor crack in back wall rather than replace which was recommendation of another company.
