I hired Taylor's Tuckpointing for a chimney repair and tuckpointing on the stone foundation of my circa 1900s Victorian home. Being the owner of a historic home has its ups and downs. The upside is that you feel like you are preserving a beautiful part of historic architecture. The downside is the endless need for home renovations, upkeep, and repair. Which means my home has been both a burden and a blessing over the last almost 20 years of my life since I took ownership of it. One of the things I almost always hate doing is the hiring process when it comes to finding contractors for all of my projects. And I can tell you that Taylor's Tuckpointing was one of the smoothest transactions I have experienced. From the initial bid, to the hiring, to the completion of the job, it was smooth sailing. I felt the company's quote was honest, that Charles Taylor cared for the project, and that he valued me as a customer. And that is important to me. That he valued me as a customer even though he may have dozens of jobs already lined up. Charles made meetings easy for me: Being a full-time working mama of two little ones, my schedule is packed. But Charles made meetings easy. He worked with my schedule and that was wonderful. And, of course, the work he did looks great. Thanks so much, Charles! They tuckpointed my stone house, steps and stone shed. They almost look like new. It went very well. Charles was very prompt. They went above and beyond. They pointed out spots we had missed. He was the cheapest bid but the quality of work was very professional. You can’t go wrong in hiring them. Highly recommended.

They were very responsive to my needs

Went very well overall. The only "negative" was that cash or check from LOCAL bank was required for payment...and not mentioned prior to job completion. This created some difficulty as I've been used to paying contractors with CC or check from an out of town bank.

I highly recommend Charles and his team. He was punctual patient due to the rain delays and very thorough. The wall was in a bad shape and the price quoted was well below what others wanted to charge. Everyone was so nice and down to earth and very easy to talk to. They answered all my questions and gave me pointers on how to preserve my wall. They are the Robin hoods of masonry and do all they can to help within there professional means. This is my go to for masonry moving forward and Marilyn's eagle eye and final walkthrough for the project is an extra bonus. You cannot go wrong with Charles and my wall looks outstanding!

The process went great. Took about a week. They are really the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He makes sure everything is done correctly. I will for sure call them again when I have a new project.

Mr. Taylor was very professional he answered all my questions. He listened to what I was wanting to accomplish . He came out and gave us an estimate. He brought out three different choices to show us to try to match our existing brick. (Our exterior brick is no longer available.). He was able to match it very nicely. He does very nice work and works very quick. He cleans up everything and goes out of his way to make his customer happy. He added nice little touches for us. He even filled up our flower planter with soil! He was prompt and efficient. He gave us exactly what we wanted and at the price he quoted. He’s a very nice down to earth guy who will work hard to give you exactly what you want. You can tell customer service is very important. I recommend you give Taylor Tuckpointing and Bricklaying a try for your next project. He guarantees his work and he does the work himself.
