Available Asphalt and Contracting LLC

Mr. Greer sent his crew to our house to put in a new asphalt driveway. They did a good job of removing the old driveway, but when they put the rock down, it did not seem to be as much as was originally promised. They assured me that it was what they normally put down and that everything would be fine. The asphalt was put down and I was told not to walk or drive over it for several weeks. When the driveway was ready, I checked it over and noticed several small holes or depressions in the asphalt that had the circumference of a quarter to golf ball size. Before driving on it, I called Mr. Greer and told him about the holes. He thought that there may have been some asphalt stuck on the roller and it may have made the holes. He told me that he would send someone over and they would fix it up “just like new”. The worker who came over filled the holes with a rubbery liquid. When the liquid “dried”, it made a depression and was soft to the touch. A family friend drove on it a week later. When he left, the asphalt was so soft, his tire slightly pushed the asphalt up. When I called Mr. Greer, he said that that was normal, but after a year, he would have the worker fill the holes that were depressed and put a sealer down. He assured me that it would look much better. He also told me that he would not charge me for the patch, but the sealer would cost $130.00. A year later, I noticed several cracks about six inches from the edge of the asphalt. I called Mr. Greer to set up the sealer job and told him about the cracks as well.. As promised, his worker put the sealer down, but seemed to use sealer instead of a filler in the holes. He also missed several spots and the sealer was very uneven. Some spots were lighter than other spots. The worker ran out of sealer, went to lunch, then came back and put down the rest, overlapping in some spots. Again, I called Mr. Greer and he told me that he would fire the man who did the sloppy work, would reapply the sealer, but that there was nothing he could do about the cracks. Needless to say, I was not impressed with this company and would not recommend them to any of my friends or family.
