Cabinet Refinishing Center by Gleam Guard

3 Days before Thanksgiving 2015 Gleam Guard came to refinish our kitchen cabinets. The father and son team were remarkable, and very professional. I have lived in the Ozarks of Missouri for the past 16 years, and I have never been more happy about paying a contractor for there work as I was paying for this job well done by these two men. I requested a quote from Gleam Guard and within the hour Jim Urban, the owner, contacted me. He explained the company didn't offer the services I was searching for, but immediately followed up with a recommendation that he truly believes in. Jim was professional, extremely prompt and courteous, helpful beyond what was necessary, and didn't rush through the conversation to ensure I didn't have further questions. I felt like a valued customer, even though he knew I wouldn't be hiring him. Should I ever need his product or know anyone who does, I'll send them to Jim first.

After giving Gleam Guard a bad review because the phones weren't working and no one responded to my emailed request for a service estimate, I heard from the owner, Jim, with a sincere apology and an explanation. While recently moving the business to Ozark, and unbeknownst to Jim, the telephone company did not provide the promised call forwarding service for several days and, in addition, my email went into his spam file. When Jim saw my bad review on Angie's List, he promptly answered my email. Having experienced these same problems myself during past moves, I understand how telephone, cable, etc. service can go awry when making service changes. All is now forgiven and I look forward to getting an estimate soon from such a highly regarded company.

It was okay. They were good. I liked them and the work they did. The only complaint was the owner talked too much. He likes to talk about his family being away from him. He was very responsive.

Not knowing how to solve the cabinet and wood work issues of our 25 year old home has paralyzed me from decorating. But not anymore! I can move ahead now! I am absolutely thrilled with our refinished cabinets, woodwork and windows as well as Jim and Michael Urban's work and the amazing new technology of Gleam Guard! Thank you!

He showed up on time, worked hard and the cabinets look like New. We be gotten a lot of compliments on them.

The job was generally well done. We asked for some extra work to be done after we saw the quality of the work we had contracted for. The price was a bit more than I wanted to pay but it was probably worth it as the almost 20-year old oak cabinets looked like new.

Tim called when he arrived promptly at the agreed upon start time, worked hard until lunch time, took a short break and then returned to finish up for the day. The whole process for our large kitchen took 2 days.

Jim was meticulous and thorough. He was a pleasure to work with.

Overall, it was a superior experience from the time I submitted the coupon for the work on Angie's List, to the finish of my project in the home.

They did a pretty good job. They did miss a couple of spots, but I will be calling him to have him touch those up. I am waiting because we are redoing our kitchen.

Jim had to try several different techniques to cover some of the scratches and water damage. He didn't give up until it looked great. He takes great pride in his workmanship.

It was very reasonable and the cabinets were looking old, worn, and the surface was coming off without any spraying or sanding he made them look almost brand new.
