After having used Pegasus Plumbing and Electrical for a bevy of updates to our lake guest house and having been more than satisfied, when it came time to install a ptac unit, we contacted Pegasus once again who came up with a competitive quote for an Amana ptac unit. The install was to include cutting a hole through the bedroom wall to the outside wall, installing a new double 20 amp plug and a new breaker. The quote for the job was $2,200. On June 27, 2014, Dan arrived to install the ptac unit. He was very careful during the install to insure everything was done correctly according to the specifications on the directions that came with the ptac unit. I felt the installation went well. He indicated after installation that the unit was not on a slant and wondered if this was one of those "new units that don't need to drain." He went back to read the directions thoroughly and discussed this with me a couple of times as if he was questioning his own work. Since I hired what I thought was a person who had done this multiple times, I had no reason to question him. After all was said and done he went outside and coated sealant around the unit since he didn't trim the unit out. I signed off on the job and paid the agreed-upon price. He wrote on the receipt that there was a 1 year guarantee on the labor. We then went back to Overland Park where we live and after arriving back to the lake, everything seemed OK. The guest cottage is undergoing renovations and when the construction company arrived for the first time they immediately asked who installed the ptac unit because it was "installed incorrectly." My father and husband both questioned the install, as well, but having had such good experience with Pegasus, I quickly came to their defense and said that it was fine. Since we don't live in the guest house, it is unoccupied most of the time during the renovations. After a good rain last week, the construction crew notated water on the floor underneath the unit as well as soaking the brand new carpet and padding next to the wall. Two days later it rained heavily again and we had the same issue. The crew mentioned to me again that the unit was installed incorrectly, that it should have been at a slant and that it should have been sealed better to prevent the water from coming in. They also showed me where there is at least 3/4" water standing inside the ptac unit next to the electronics. They placed a level on the outside of the unit and it shows that it is perfectly straight and not able to drain correctly. I contacted Pegasus August 11, 2014 to indicate there was a problem and since I have to pay the construction company to reinstall the unit, I would like to at least get a partial refund on the labor. Soon after, Dan called and we discussed the issue once again and he said that he'd relay the message back to the office. There was no call back. My husband called yesterday, August 12 and the lady indicated they did not call me back because I was there during the install and signed off on the job. Evidently, by signing the contract, that means that the job is done correctly and there will be no room for future complaints. For as much business as we've done with Pegasus, I would have thought the owner would call back. For as much business as we've done with Pegasus and recommended them so many additional times, I would have thought at the very least they'd send out Dan to fix the problem. But alas, I'm evidently mistaken. Apparently, the 1 year guarantee on labor is useless. The trucks they drive around that advertises, "All Work Guaranteed" is also useless. Now I will be paying another company to do the job right. Who knows how long this has leaked. I'm hoping we don't find any surprises when the unit is turned back on after having the water sit inside for so long. The wallboard, the carpet and padding have all been saturated for how many times, who is to know. I'm sad that this company is dishonest.

Description of Work: Nothing! We called them to come out and fix our three window units, our propane heating stove, a central a/c unit and a water heater (that they had installed) and were told that it wasn't worth their time to drive out to fix these items. We would have to wait until they have other calls in our area before they would even come out here. Basically, they didn't care! No one wants to work when you live at the lake!

I am very pleased with their service. The only problem I have with them is that they are always busy. I have to wait to get them when I call. They do a good job and their prices are reasonable. I would absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: I would recommend Pegasus for heating and air conditioning. They helped me with some rental properties I have.

Was led to believe this filter would solve our lime problem. It did not. When contacted manufacture was told filter was not designed to remove lime. Pegasus refuses to do anything above this obvious scam.
Description of Work: Installed a "whole house filter" to remove lime from out water.
