Ozark Heating & Air LLC

My home has a heat pump with a backup heat source called heat strips. A few years ago the coil strips were replaced by this company. Ive had ongoing problems with the strips after they were replaced. At one point in 2012 the owner and only employee told me he could not recoil them because he couldnt get the parts and my system was out of business. Acordair of St.Louis Mo.. He wanted to sell me a whole new heat pump system. I declined because even though he said the strips were bad. The ones he replaced. Most were still working. The strips started kicking there breaker 2 weeks ago and were failing so I thought I better start pricing some systems. Heres what I found. The coil replacement kit for my unit was $7.58 online. My heat pump manufacture is still in business. I contacted Ozark Heat and I spoke with the owners wife. I asked to speak with the owner. I told her I was un-happy with the cost of work that was now failing. She refused to give me his cell and proceeded to cuss me up one side and down the other. Then she hung up on me. I called the business back but this time I set my phone to record and had my wife listen on speaker. I once again got ahold of his wife. I couldnot get her to calm down enough to hear me out and once again she cursed me out and hung up. I recalled just trying to reason with her. She at last gave me a price of what I paid to have the strip re-coiled. $378 bucks for a $8 buck part. Plus several hundred in return calls to repair the strips. Ok. Cut to the chase. Within these 3 phone calls she told me I "was full of s***" 2 times. I could"kiss there a****" 2 times and she said F**k you 3 times. I never once cursed her. Not once. I told her "look Im a 27 year police vet, I know why your reacting like this" She replied she did not care what kind of vet I was she did not care about any type of vet.. Oh. At one point she told me her husband would probably tear my head off. Anyway late in the day and this was on 3/6/2014. I received a phone call from there number and when I answered they hung up. I thought her husband must be home now so I called them back. This was at17:03. She answered and I realized she set me up like I was calling out of the blue. She told me he was really mad and I said fine let me talk to him. The conversation started out fine and then I could hear her screaming in the background. He then accused me of cursing out his wife and threatening her. He told me if I ever called again he was calling the cops. I replied fine and he hung up on me. I was way overcharged. I was lied to about parts. I was lied to about Acordair being out of business. Just lied to and about. My advise. Stay clear. My money was good enough for them to spend but I wasnt good enough to have some questions answered. Ive reported this outfit to the B.B.B. also.
