Description of Work: We purchased the hot deal for 2 hours of design consulting. This was for remodeling a master bath. What we really got was 45 minutes of reviewing our project. No specifics were discussed about our project (no tape measure, no question about type of tub or sink). The next hour was the sales pitch. Spend $1,700 for the real design work to start. If you end up entering into a construction contract; $850 will be apply as a credit towards the construction cost. | |Our goal was too gain additional deign ideas. This goal was clearly missed.

Description of Work: I was great. NEXT was professional - they not only looked at the initial request, they made some great suggestions on different ways of utilizing the spaces we were looking to renovate. Well done!

Description of Work: We knew that we wanted to refresh our kitchen, but didn't know where to start. Dana and Marc listened to our thoughts and then offered a wide range of ideas on how we could best accomplish our project. We were so impressed that we divided to hire them to do the actual remodel!

Description of Work: Came to our home. Listened to which room we would like to modify. What we would like to do, likes, dislikes. Asked good questions we had not considered. Provided suggestions, and, approximate costs. Later sent a written estimate.

There were no problems with scheduling an appointment and everything went great. I think that Dana is great! She gave me a lot of wonderful ideas. She is very talented and friendly. I feel that I got my monies worth with the deal.

Description of Work: Dana 's knowledge on design was impressive. She brought a contractor with her to evaluate the cost of construction. She and the contractor spent over 2 hours consulting. Her pricing was just to high for our neighborhood.

Description of Work: Dana was professional, very informative. Consultation was for kitchen remodel. Since we are novices at planning a complete remodel, she gave great suggestions on things we hadn't even considered. We especially appreciated her knowledge about the things we thought we might try that would turn out to be just a "quick fix" and end up costing us more in the long run. You can tell she advises with the experience of getting involved with her projects and not just putting it on paper. She encourages your input so she gats a handle on your tastes and then integrates that into her own ideas. She measured and calculated approximate prices and worked up a diagram of her suggestions. Would recommend her highly.

Description of Work: I was having problems deciding on a floor color of our newely remodeled kitchen and decide to join Angie's list to find a interior designer. I saw the big deal and thought this would be a great solution and it won't cost a lot either.We have our cabinets, backsplash,and paint.The flooring (wood) would have been our last big purchase but want to make sure it would tie in with the cabinets,backsplash and other wood in the room. I spoke with Dana and told her this information she said this would take more time then was budgeted in the coupon. She would need to look at the kitchen and then we would go to pro source and pickout the flooring which would take additional time. Approximately $300.00 to complete the service which is the normal value of her services.

Description of Work: Never performed the work and I never received a refund. Dana's design services never showed up at the scheduled time! Very disappointed.

Description of Work: I bought the big deal for a consultation ($59) Dana King came with her contractor Gene and we discussed putting in a new kitchen. After that conversation, I decided to hire her to design and manage the project. Things are going very well.

Description of Work: Dana called after I purchased the Big Deal. Due to unexpected continuous out of town travel for work, I was not able to use coupon before it expired.

Description of Work: I met with Dana and Mark to discuss ideas, cost, and planning for remodeling my kitchen. They gave me some good ideas, a rough estimate of remodeling cost and how long the job could take. I wanted to know what their costs/fees were going to be and they were upfront with that information. They helped me get a better idea of how much this project could potentially cost me if I get everything I want. I feel this consultation was worth it because nowI have to decide what's really important to me and be realistic about what we can afford on this remodel. Dana was in the process of putting together a design kitchen picture portfolio, so unfortunately, I was not able to see pictures of her work, only a couple of photo copies from two projects she had completed.

Description of Work: Dana has been fun and interesting to work with, as we pick out new and bold colors for our home. She has demonstrated an easy way of helping me to figure out what I want, by suggesting ideas that I would never have contemplated. We would definitley use her services in the future.
