Quacker's Waterproofing & Basement Repair has been family owned and operated since 2001. No subcontractors or commissioned sales people are used. Cost is determined by the job. Due to our experience installing waterproofing systems, fixing foundations as well as our Radon testing and mitigation experience gives us the skill sets to install Radon resistance waterproofing systems. Most of our competitors don't have this combination of skill sets there before may waterproofing systems that are installed can potentially contribute to elevated radon levels in their customer's home. We can solve most foundation/basement problems as well as improve our clients indoor air quality which is a very high priority for us. It is our commitment and responsibility to insure our customers have healthy homes and we are do nothing to compromise that. We are not tied to or required to use any propriety systems or products that many companies are vested in. We use the systems and products that we feel provide the best solution for our client's problem. For customers who want a more finished look than a normal crack injection, we offer a special surface seal that can be removed from the surface of the wall after a crack is injected leaving only the repaired crack line visible. We can also paint the basement walls to make both crack repairs and carbon fiber repairs much less visible. In addition to radon testing and mitigation we really are positioned to be a one stop shop. There are several brand name products and systems we use on a regular basis. "Fortress Stabilization" carbon fiber wall stabilization products, "Stabilizer" top and bottom adjustable I-beam brackets used with vertical I-beams for wall stabilization, and "Kryton" crystalline waterproofing products used when crack injection and other waterproofing methods will not be effective, We also use "RadonAway" radon mitigation fans for all of our radon mitigation system installation. Due to our experience repairing foundation wall cracks many times we can provide an accurate repair price over the phone with just a good discription from the client or a clear picture of the crack.

He was courteous and arrived on time. He filled the crack completely and did an excellent job. The price was very reasonable and the job was completed in good time. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs foundation work.

Foundation Repair
I had two crack in my basement wall. One was horizontal, and the other one was vertical. The gentleman was on time and conducted himself in a very professional manor. H8e explained the horizontal crack will need to be deal separately from the big deal, due to the fact that it will take some reinforcement (steel beams) in order to keep the crack sealed. He called his boss and asked him to come by to give us an estimate for that work (which he did). The other crack was sealed.

Ted showed up on time and went right to work. I asked if I could observe simply out of interest and he did not mind at all. It took him about one and one half hours to complete the job. He was very professional and cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased with his work. The warranty goes with the life of the house, even if we should sell.

Great job--no upsell. It could’ve been an upsell since it was a bigger job than he thought but he did a great job in patching a crack in the basement. He was courteous and came out within a week or so of purchasing the deal; we’d recommend him.

It went very well. Jim Hudson came out and explained everything and answered all of my questions. Their bid was received the next day via email. The work could be done in one day. We opted to have it done in 2 half-days to get it done sooner. The I-beams were delivered the day before work was to begin. The I-beams were installed on the first visit and the tightening of the brackets and sealing was done on the second visit. They (Jason and Ted) were very professional and answered all my questions. They cleaned up very well after the work was done.
We are very happy with the results. We were experiencing a lot of "scary noises" along that wall and that has decreased substantally. The bowing is a lot less than it was. After the first visit I was able to put my fingers between one of the I-beams and the wall in the center part of the wall where the bowing was most prononced. After the second day, I couldn't. They come back every 2 months or so to tighten any brackets that need it. They did say that it could take awhile for the "unbowing" to maximize.
Lien waivers and warranties were provided along with the bid (preliminary copies) and final copies of these documents along with a receipt came in about a week after work was completed via email.

My experience was good. They were very diligent and made sure what they were going to do in the appointment was actually going to work. They had to come out three different times to make sure they did the work correctly. They had to get the water out of the wall first then repair the cracks. They were very good at getting back to me when I called and scheduling appointments with me.

"Thanks for the feedback. The surface seal you refer to is not a material that is easy to work with as far as making the surface of the crack look very smooth at times. It can be removed since it's only purpose it to hold the injection in the crack until it has cured. You can remove the injection ports by cutting them off, do not break them off it will leave a sharp edge that you could cut yourself on. If you decide to sand the surface seal please make sure you protect yourself by wearing a mask."

Service date was scheduled and included the name of the person that would be visiting my house and doing the work. Workman shows up on time and immediately identified himself. He was friendly and professional. He took a look at the crack and then explained exactly how he was going to fix it, in detail. He invited me to watch the repair process and if I saw something that I was not comfortable with that I should tell him right away. The work was done efficiently and he did a good job. He also put sealer on the outside of the foundation where there was a minor possibility of water getting into the crack. This company is a true client service company and although I had a very simple crack in the foundation it was repaired very well. I would use this company again, if the need would arise. The man sent to do the repairs was very nice and did a great job.

Communication from the owner,Jim, was excellent. We exchanged e-mails and spoke on the phone prior to the job. His technician,Matt, showed up on time. There was no bait and switch or pressure to broaden the job that I requested. Matt explained the process and what I should expect as a result(a dry basement). It was a great experience and I sincerely recommend them to anybody that has a cracked foundation.

Quacker's Waterproofing & Basement Repair, LLC is a great honest team. I had a block foundation for which the epoxy crack injection doesn't work. So this big deal service was not needed. This was explained and I appreciate their honest approach. They even recommended other products I can do as a homeowner to fix the cracks.

It went well. Quacker's and I originally had trouble getting this scheduled. They kept calling me when no one was home and leaving messages saying they would call back but always did when we weren't home. They never left a number where I could call them. But that was just a few days. When we did make the appointment they were available the next day. Matt, the technician showed up as scheduled and was friendly and willing to explain what he was doing and how it was going to work. He did a thorough job and I'm confident that the crack is sealed as Matt pointed out the material as it exited the crack every step of the way. I'm very happy with the work and am elated at the price I paid. I would have been happy with the work and the price if I had paid the normal price $350 given the effort that Matt put into this.

They were really responsive in viewing our basement. Two workers showed up and reported the work was a one day job and easy fix. As they left they said they would try to get us an estimate that night but if not it would only be a couple days (weekend in between). A week later we called, and they responded in an acceptable manner of time with an apology that they has simply overlooked it. They said we would have an estimate within 2-3 days. Three days later we called again, they didn't reply.
We were set to go with them, their workmen were nice and seemed to know what they were talking about. I had asked how long before they could do the work and they said they were only 2 weeks out.
We were disappointed. And now we have gone with someone else.

Everything went great! The work was done as scheduled. The price was ALOT less than the other bids we received. There have been several rains since and not an ounce of water! I would most definately use them again and recommend them!

The owner took the order over the phone....a few days later the technician came out and filled in the cracks. We paid upon completion and the tech gave us a receipt and said the warranty paperwork would be sent within 24 hours. After 1 week of not receiving warranty, I called and left a message on the company voice mail....still no response so I called again 2 weeks later, spoke to owner he said he was on vacation and would email it right away. Never received anything. tried calling again August 2013 and talked to the owner again and gave him my email address again and he said he would send it immediately. the next day I called because I did not receive warranty and left a message on voice mail.....no response. I called again the next day and left a message and still no response. I then called the BBB and explained the complaint....and if you could have seen the response, it was unbelievable. Stating that he emailed it to me on the same date I filed the BBB complaint. emailed was never received. he also stated that he had a family emergency the rest of the time (the year) I was calling requesting the warranty and the emergency took 100% of his time. Don't get me wrong, if you have a family emergency, family comes first. Why would you not have someone else handle your business and for goodness sake its only an email.....how long does that take. Anyway I still have never received the warranty and why as a business owner wouldn't it dawn on him just to stick the warranty in the U.S. mail????
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!

While tearing off an old deck in preparation for a new patio, we discovered a crack in our foundation. On the advice of our concrete contractor as well as reviews on Angie's List, we called Quacker's Waterproofing. I explained the problem to owner Jim Hudson. He came out the next day, inspected the crack and recommended a seal/injection process. The following day the repair was accomplished. The folks at Quacker's were polite, timely and professional. We would heartily recommend them for all your foundation repair needs.
