Description of Work: $900.00 plus for adding a new control card into a Trane furnace. Soon after I called because the furnace would not start and was told to turn it off and back on. That worked and they would not come out. Every morning last winter i would have to go down stairs to turn the furnace off and back on before the thermostat would work. 1 month after the warranty the entire furnace stopped working again. We added another $300 for a humidifier and that is still working.

We did not put the equipment in originally and yes the equipment was out of the manufacturers warranty time period. Due to the cost of the Trane furnace part we offered to install a new furnace that would have a 10 year parts AND labor warranty with it. We could not just replace the control board, we had to replace an entire series of parts. OUR cost for the parts alone were over $500 and the repair was very labor intensive. We would have told the customer to reset the system one time, but if they would have called back again, which they did not, we would have went to their home to figure out the problem. The parts installed as with all of our service work has a 1 year parts and labor warranty. The warranty for that repair would have just expired on 11/18/2015. We have not heard from the customer for any breakdowns or for us to come evaluate their furnace due to it not working properly. The second repair was to replace the flame sensor and repair the humidifier. We replaced a flame sensor and a humidistat for the humidifier and they were charged for parts and labor for this repair and it also has a 1 year parts and labor warranty which expired 12/1/2015. We truly apologize for the bad experience with our company. We strive to make all of customers happy with the service we provide and if there are issues we want to take the time to make things right. Any return calls that are made within the 1 year time frame there is no charge to our customers unless it is a different issue other than the original repair.

Description of Work: They went out of their way to come at a separate time to remove my stool so I could have flooring laid before the new stool was installed. They came back and installed the stool as the deal on Angies list stated. They came on time and were very professional. The problem came when I asked the technician to check out another stool that was loose and rocking. He checked it and told me the flange was broken. He fixed it and installed a wax ring. This cost me $396.00. I did agree to this price but have since checked and feel it was twice what it should have been.

My mother called MD Repair on Thursday, its serviceman arrived on Friday and diagnosed the problem. Parts were ordered, and MD Repair called when they came in on Monday. On Tuesday, the serviceman arrived promptly and installed the parts. The heat pump has worked since then. My mother's only complaint was that MD Repair did not inform her of the charges until after they were incurred. She would have appreciated an estimate in advance.
Description of Work: The serviceman examined and diagnosed the reason why my mother's heat pump wasn't working. For this, she was charged $79. Then he repaired the problem, working an hour and a half for $150. Because the heat pump was under warranty, I was charged for labor only.
