Gee, where to start. We just bought a home where the sellers had a roof insurance claim just before we closed on the deal. The details of our experience are listed below. THE GOOD: - The workers who actually installed the roof did a good job overall. - The pricing was arranged so no one would have to cover the insurance deductible. - Company was willing to allow us to request upgraded roofing materials for additional cost. THE BAD: - The workers left one of our gutters damaged, so much so that it wont drain. The work contract had 28! disclaimers, one of which said they werent responsible for this. - Owner was hard to get ahold of, and deadlines were always late. - It took 3 weeks, and several phone calls/emails to get them to remove all the trash from the property. THE UGLY: - The sellers said they unknowingly signed an official work contract, and requested to be let out of it. Instead of trying to please the customer, they were threatened by Lexmar with time in court. The sellers were senior citizens, who does that!? - While trying to negotiate price quotes through Farmers insurance, we spoke to the lady in the office about this. Instead of letting us know there was a contract involved, she said we were being a "tough customer"and muttered something about us skipping on down the road. I told her i didnt appreciate her tone, and she began screaming and shouting into the phone. We hung up, and she called back to tell us they were "going to do the work whether we liked it or not". - Immediately after this lovely conversation, the owner called the real estate agent and immediately began yelling at him as well, and made threats to report his behavior (first time he had spoken to our agent). THE BOTTOM LINE: This is a company who can do good work, but all they really care about is getting paid. Their customer service is poor at best. When they were asked if they cared about leaving a bad taste in the mouth of one of the largest real estate companies in the area, their reply was "äbsolutely not". We have a ton of proof including paperwork, pictures, and testimonials from our real estate company You can spend the same money and get great customer service somewhere else. Dont waste your time here.
