+ -1 moreHe stole our money! Wish we had subscribed to Angie's List before we met Mr. Brown. He came out and gave us an estimate for some fence work. We agreed on a price and paid him half up front for supplies, etc. That was the last time we talked with Mr. Brown. He responded to one email claiming the work was delayed by some family emergency. Now he doesn't return calls or emails.

Description of Work: THIS GUY IS A SCAMMER! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I responded to a CraigsList ad for fence repair. He was very responsive and friendly before the sale. He gave a competitive bid for the fence work and also recommended some concrete and roof repair service. He is a rough looking guy, but a great talker. As is customary, I paid him half up front as deposit and for material purchases. His wife promptly cashed my check I never heard from him again. I have called his and his wife's phones nearly every day for a month with no answer. Left lots of messages, no return calls. He never did any work at all, just stole my money. The scammer's name is William "Bird" Brown. Well, that's the name he uses anyway. The "business" is Brown Can Do Etc which is a dba for a corp called CBIA.

+ 1 moreI had a signed contract with William"bird" brown and his wife Lauren DBA "Brown can do etc" to install decks, fencing and do some cement work at my home. They asked for half down $2750.00. The contract was signed June 30 2012. The check was altered into Mr. Browns name and cashed on July 2. 2012. The never returned to do the work. I made dozens of attempts to resolve this matter. They refused to do the work and they refused to return the money. They do not return phone calls, texts, or emails. This matter is being handed over to the police. Also, check their better business bureau rating. It's F. Do not do business with these people.
