Nate's Paint Co

Was on time and did exactly what I asked him to do. Very pleasant and easy to work with. We actually hired him for some follow on work. Nate is GREAT!

Discriminatory and inconsiderate practice. Apparently, Nate's Paint Co doesn't provide services to people east of Kingshighway due to a "couple of events" that happened to him. Once he found out where we lived (the morning of the appointment), he just plain didn't come and apparently didn't have intention to let us know he wasn't coming. Our text conversation went as follows: Nate @ 9:48am: Hey this is Nate the painter. Just making sure that 11 is still ok for me to come by and I need an address. Me @ 9:50am: 11 works. xxxxxxxx address. See you soon. Me @ 11:19am (19 mins after appt time): Are you on your way? Nate @ 11:20am: No I'm not. Me @11:22am: Are you planning to come? ..after not hearing a reply, I called Nate @ 11:29am.. he said he made a personal decision to "..not do work on that side of Kingshighway.." He said it was a personal decision due to a couple of events that happened to him. When I asked whether he planned to get back with me, he finally apologized.. I let him know that we felt blown off. It's really unfortunate that we were completely blown off once this contractor found out our address. We were waiting for him to come, paused our plans and didn't receive the courtesy of communication until we pursued it on our side. Our house and others on our block are in the $300k range. How discriminatory are you?!?!

I purchased Nate's $300 Painter For A Day Deal. He chose to only communicate via Angie's List messages and text prior to the work which was fine, but I would have preferred a phone conversation. That said, he showed up and he did great work on the trim and doors. They look much better than had I done them myself!

Nate arrived 15 min. late due to traffic, which was no concern. He called me in advance to let me know. He did a thorough and efficient job. Nate was professional and courteous. I was pleased with the job he did, although I'm not too sure of the paint color I chose for the hallway! Certainly not his problem! Nate was willing to paint extra projects for me in order to fill his time. He painted my handrails going downstairs which were in desperate need of paint. I had some white paint that he used to paint a door that really needed to be spruced up. He cleaned up the areas that he painted well. I plan to use him again.

Nate is very professional; he showed up on time and completed the job as expected.

Nates Paint Company came in and gave an estimate for paint job and follow up with emailed estimate soon after. Was very professional, courteous and quality work.

This provider did work outside the "Big Deal" and was happy to do so. The additional cost was fully explained and was fair. Good purchase.

Nate returned calls prompted and showed up right on time. He was very polite and courteous. He cleaned up his mess and left the leftover paint in nice clean paint cans for me to store. Some things that were not mentioned in the big deal that should have been mentioned up front were the extra $7 per color for the rollers and paint trays that he uses that was not included in the cost. I have never had a painter charge for these things before. When he arrived I had also had the closet taken apart for a different project and he mentioned that if I wanted the closet painted it would be extra. Problem was I hired him for the DAY, not for the room. I paid for a painter for 8 hours and he left after 5 1/2 and it was going to be extra money to paint the closet too. Why? Also the second coat of paint on the bottom of the chair rail looks rushed liked it wasn't given enough time to dry between coats so it's all splotchy. So we are going to have to put another coat on it ourselves anyway. We paid $300, he only had to work for 5 1/2 of the 8 hours that we hired him for, the closet would have been extra and the bottom pink color needs a second coat. I feel a little disappointed.

Nate was professional from the phone call to set up a time for an estimate to completing the job. He arrived on time the morning of the painitng. He was very neat and very good at what he does. I am very particular and I would definitely hire him back.

Nate was great to work with. He did a beautiful job in a very timely manner. kept in touch with me the whole time and when I started to worry that I had picked the wrong color he texted me pics so I could see if I liked how it looked. I would highly recommend him and if I decide to get another room painted, he will be the one I call!

Nate was very easy to work with. His estimate was comparable to two others I received. He was able to start the job within a week of his estimate which worked out well for me. Nate did a great job of painting and his attention to detail was appreciated. He had told me to expect two to three days of painting and it took two days plus a few hours. Nate also did a nice job of cleaning up and putting furniture back to its original position. I was very comfortable leaving Nate in the house alone to paint away! I would hire Nate again to paint in my home.

We contacted Nate for an estimate on a whole-house interior re-paint on a home we previously rented out but were planning to move back into. Immediately we were impressed with Nate's great communication and punctuality. Since we were out of town he worked with the tenant to set up a time to review the job. Nate's estimate for the job was reasonable given the scale of the job which included repainting all walls on a 3200 Sq Ft home and clearly delineated labor and material costs. Timing was important to us as we had several projects planned for the property. Nate agreed to complete the project within a window of our choosing so we decided to offer him the job. Nate showed up as promised on day 1 of the job and went right to work. He worked exceptionally long hours through the week and completed the job on time. We even threw a wild card in mid-job and asked him to repaint one of the rooms in a different color after deciding the chosen color did not look good on our walls. Nate rolled with the punches and made the change for a reasonable additional cost. His work was not only done on time but was of high quality. He went above and beyond expectations repairing excessive damage to the walls our previous tenants had done. He also repaired some of the "slop" on the trim and ceiling our previous paining attempts had left. After the job was done Nate cleaned up after himself and left us with a nice clean job site with only his handy work to admire. Can't say enough positive things about this company. If you are in need of a paint job highly recommend you let Nate compete for your business.

Nate did an excellent job, and addressed additional issues found throughout the project following other contractor activity at reasonable rates. He's thorough and has great attention to detail, along with a sense of pride for his final product.

Nate arrived on time each day. We were told by Nate that the job would take 5 days. It took 7 days. We were not living in the home or even in the state. We did have a relative come in and for a few days while he was here. There were some obvious spots that he had missed and Nate was more than happy to fix those. He also had to come in and repaint a wall. We were overall happy with the painting. The other issues were that Nate washed out his brushes in our sinks, and there are very small drips of paint on the toilet, shower, bathroom floor, sink. Also there are about 3 spots on the carpet, one of them being about 6 inches in diameter.

This was a full week's work. He had kiddie and mother in law issues, which didn't bother me but extended the job longer than it needed. Picking paint colors very easy. Nate is a pretty laid back guy, but as the job took longer to complete, I sensed he was feeling pressure to meet the next job's timeline. He didn't clean up around windows, got paint on toilet tank lid, small stuff that needed extra time to clean up on my part. All in all, a fine job that I didn't have time or patience to do myself.

I would rate Nates Paint very very highly. If someone wanted to hire them then i would recommend them as they do high quality work, low stress and easy to work with.

Date may not be exactly correct but hired Nate to come out to paint 3 room in my home. He came out for the estimate and reviewed our project with us. He was punctual on work day and left everything clean when he left. He was very professional and did a wonderful job. I would hire him again for other painting needs!

I was happy as Nate is a professional and responsible painter. He showed up on time everyday and I'm satisfied with his good quality work.

I felt that he overcharged me for wallpaper removal services considering that I had already removed most of the wallpaper myself. The final price was actually $1000 more than I had anticipated because of this. Furthermore, it took him quite a long time to complete the entire job, and I found paint spatter on my wood floors which was frustrating.

Nate did a good job but I think he is busy. I wanted to come back and he didn't come back. I think he got booked up with a lot of big jobs and never came back. I would call him again. He did super work. I trust him completely. I just don't know if you can book him or not. I think it was a fair price. I thought he was responsive. He didn't promise me to come back so he didn't. He was right on schedule. In fact, he was very timely and when he started the work, he got it done. He didn't dally around. He was very professional.

With an upcoming wedding and white walls that needed a physical and aesthetic make-over, we decided a fresh coat of paint was in order for a large (and high!) area in our home. I checked the List and based on positive reviews, gave Nate a call. Well, he just earned another positive review! We were completely satisfied from first contact to finished job. Nate was easy to reach by phone or text, was prompt in getting us a bid and setting up a start date, listened to exactly what we wanted, and completed the job in a timely manner, even with interruptions for sickness and snow days! Communication was excellent throughout. He was always available by phone or text, and ready to address any questions/concerns we had. As we were not always home, we trusted Nate to let himself in and out, and he was always very conscientious about cleaning up after a days' work, locking doors, etc. He works alone, his is the only name on the business, and takes great pride in his work. We will definitely be calling him for all our future painting needs!

This is the second time we have hired Nate. Previously he painted entire upper level of our atrium ranch, plus repair a downstairs wall and paint. We re-modeled our master bath recently, so Nate was our guy for paint. He remains professional, prompt, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Give him a call for your estimate.
