We called Lawn Authority to do an irrigation start up; they gave us a few dates of availability when their guy would be in our zone. The technician showed up on time and proceeded to go through the process. He walked with each sprinkler and adjusted one from spraying into the street to spraying in our driveway. I asked about adjusting sprinkler heads because I noticed dry spots in the summer, but I was told it would be "really expensive" to adjust the heads or lines. He did adjust one head to keep from spraying directly into my siding - seems the installation done by another firm didn't follow best practices. In any event, after backflow certification failed, he did a "rebuild" of parts. However, 2 weeks later, we noticed a leak near our water shut-off valve. We called our plumber and he triaged it back to the sprinkler system. He said they didn't tighten everything sufficiently and it could've been bad (i.e. flooded our finished basement). When I called Lawn Authority to let them know, I was told this has never happened. She would talk to technician and get back with me. They never did. They never asked to see invoice from plumber or talk to plumber or express any concern that their work could've flooded my basement.

They will cut our lawn on a weekly basis. They do fertilize our lawn as well. The price was pretty expensive for the lawn treatment. They did do a nice job with the work. The service can be robotic at times and they should pay a little closer attention to the weather before doing the service.

They were great from start to finish. I continue to use them for fertilization services every year and my lawn looks great.

It all goes very well with them every time they come.

Lawn Authority took over our lawn fertilizer from another company a year or so ago. They did the 7(?) treatments a year package for us. This year our lawn looks really bad (could be the weather) and I had hoped for some sort of input throughout the year. Our back yard was absolutely terrible and full of weeds while the front looked okay but was no longer one of the better yards in the neighborhood. Joe is the main guy when it comes to taking care of lawns and he is very pleasant but during the initial interview he explained his history with golf courses and how he would give us pointers through the year. That never happened. I was shocked when I received an estimate for aerating and over-seeding. I have been receiving flyers all month for $40-45 to aerate and Lawn authority wanted $70. I couldn't justify paying almost twice as much after the year we have had with them. The final issue I have is customer service related. I am not confrontational so I usually choose to let people do the right thing or move on. This is one of those cases. We had a missed treatment that we were billed for. I asked them to look into it and received a defensive answer. When I mentioned that we were at home, there was no sign in the yard, there was no receipt in the door (which is customary), and no pellets in the driveway or yard, I was told matter of factly by the owner that sometimes they are out of signs and the wind can blow away receipts. I told him it would be odd for all three to happen at the same time and he completely ignored the statement. I will admit that they might have slipped in while I was not looking but it seems to me that there should have been a little more concern from the company. So, I am giving the company a B average. They showed up when they said almost always. They were always polite unless there was an issue. Joe is a nice guy, he just never gave advice on things that could help my yard when it was obvious it was going down hill. The yard could look bad this year due to the weather and not the treatments but how would I know? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but I am going with a new company because I don't like my concerns ignored.

THEY COME OUT 7 TIMES A YEAR TO KEEP MY LAWN LOOKING GREAT. I DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR THE MEMORY TO FERTILIZE MY LAWN WHEN IT NEEDS IT AND WHAT CHEMICALS TO USE. JOE HAS BEEN DOING A GREAT JOB FOR ME FOR 3 YEARS.
