Description of Work: Hoff Heating & Air Conditioning fixed our system that wasn't working.

Description of Work: Have used Hoff a number of times for routine HVAC maintenance. Always punctual and professional.

Description of Work: Replace furnace and air conditioner with new High Efficiency Furnace,Heat Pump,and programmable thermostat. The cost does not include $900.00 cash back gift card through the Costco purchase program, and, a $225.00 cash rebate from Laclede gas. The net cost to me was $8487.00. Great work, new installed system is wonderful. I have used Hoff in the past, and, have always been impressed with how professional they are. When we first met with them to determine our new system, they did a great job of analyzing our needs. We received a detailed list of our heating/cooling requirements, and all of the options that were available, including a wide range of pricing options. We are very happy with the system we chose. And the install work went as planned. They even repaired part of the mechanical area where the furnace was installed. Great job Hoff!

Description of Work: Hoff Heating and A/C replaced our 13 year-old external central air unit and internal coil. Very professional end-to-end service. Someone came out (Denny) to the house to survey site needs, take measurements, and take pictures. The next day he sent me a quote for 4 different systems from the cheapest and least efficient, up to the most efficient system. I called to discuss the options with him and subsequently scheduled an appt. for the next week. On the installation date, 2 installers showed up, on time (actually they were early!), and were able to replace the system in 2 to 3 hours. Hoff has also done work for me in the past, and I've always been happy with their professionalism and service.

Description of Work: The technician found a loose connection and added refrigerant with successful results and at a low cost. A new system was recommended by a different provider who came first.

Description of Work: Our air conditioner quit last night, so I looked on Angie's list and picked out the nearest A-rated company. Huff employees were courteous both on the phone and in person. I liked that they called me to let me know when they were on their way. Jim was here 6 hours from when I called in. He quickly assessed the problem, replaced the capacitor, checked everything else, and was on his way in less than half an hour. And we are on our way from 91 to 75 degrees again!! I can not imagine better service.

Description of Work: My son lives in this house and reported that the A/C unit began to smoke and he shut it down. My son is deaf, and I live in another state. He was gong to be out-of-town for a couple of days and it was a weekend. I researched on Angie's List and sent an email to Hoff. I got a call on Monday morning and an appointment was set up for that afternoon. I authorized in advance replacing a fan motor as that sounded like what the problem might be. When I got the report following the service call, the problem had been some bent ventilation fins that were coming in contact with the fan blade. The technician straightened them, checked out the unit, and found no other problems. I was very pleased with the outcome, especially since I had already authorized additional service which would not have been necessary.
