CHRIS' WINDOW REPAIR

I called. He measured. He quoted. He ordered. He called to schedule when ready to install. He came and installed. Great job. Fair price.

I was quoted a cost of $212 for each 3x6 picture window. No argon gas so I don't think I would gain any thermal efficiency and there was not iron-glad guarantee their solution would clear the fog in the window. We would also have two dime-sized holes in the glass where values are inserted. I decided to invest that $212/window towards completely new replacement windows and I'm glad I did. Replacements windows are more expensive but not by much when you figure in the $212 cost savings plus the 2010 Federal Tax credit for new, energy-efficient windows.

His price was reasonable, and I was happy with his service. His was the best bid I got out of anybody.

I joined Angie's List so that I could choose from a pool of qualified and reputable businesses. This company had an A rating, so I felt good about contacting them for an estimate for window repairs. I called and left a message requesting an appt. for a bid/quote/estimate for window repairs and never received a call back. Perhaps I am naive in the world of home repairs, but I did expect a return call... even if it was to tell me that they were too busy to take on my job.

I left Chris a message over Thanksgiving weekend in case he was performing service calls, but did not hear from him. I sent an email and called again the following Monday morning and heard from Chris within an hour and he said he would come by my house in the next two days to survey the damage and call me with bid. I was originally quoted $80. I didn't hear from Chris within the time I expected so I both made arrangements to have another company perform the work (they wanted $230.00) and left Chris a phone message and email telling him I was still waiting to hear from him, but did not want to wait more than 48 hours longer. Chris called in response and apologized that he had experienced a death in the family and would be out the following Monday to complete the work. He arrived early and did excellent quality work for less than his original bid. Very nice demeanor as well. Highly recommend Chris for any window repairs, big and small. Support the small business owner.

He was very prompt in returning my phone call and setting up the appointment, and he actually charged me less than the quote because the job was easier than he initially thought.

Chris was pleasant to work with. He was always on time and fixed the problem quickly. He had to order parts and when they came in, he was over that day to fix the windows. We appreciate his speedy response.

Excellent. For all of the work performed, I thought the price was very reasonable. This appears to be a small business, one-man operation, although I don't know that for sure. Chris arrived right on time to provide the estimate, then arrived when promised to perform the work. He also made some additional window repairs that I had not asked him about before he came to do the scheduled work. He had what was needed in his truck to fix these additional windows, without having to make a return trip. He was prepared!

THIS COMPANY UNDERSTOOD MY CONCERN ABOUT LEAVING THE WINDOW BROKEN OVER NIGHT. THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY AND REPLACED THE BROKEN SECTION. THEY WERE ON TIME AND HAD THE JOB DONE IN NO TIME AT ALL.

CHRIS WAS VERY POLITE, THOROUGH, AND PUNCTUAL. I ALSO FELT THAT THE COST OF HIS SERVICES WAS QUITE REASONABLE. I WILL DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN FOR ANY WINDOW REPAIR.
