Where do I begin? They damaged the top rails, won't call back, put a hole in the liner, did not get it level. Had to hire Pool king to come in and tear it down, repair it and do a complete overhaul installation. The owner has never returned my calls. Look at the negative reviews on google, he's horrible.

Not good. Once installation started on wall it was clear that it did not have an even radius. Also caps for wall were actually cut while sitting on top of wall and all of the cuts went through the caps and into top block of wall. They glued caps to wall to cover up and then had to tear down, order new blocks and caps, and do over. They were hired through pool company to perform this portion of the job and concrete decking. I'll admit they did a decent job on concrete but they need help in retaining wall dept. Took numerous attempts to get the wall corrected and still isn't the final product we hoped for. Have heard from others in the past about issues with Burke and I wish I had taken their word for it and not used them.

Ed Burke is absolutly excellent to deal with. His honesty, integrity and professionalism is his standard throughout the job. He stands behind his work and his workmen are wonderful to work with. Ed has done lots of work at our home (i.e. fencing, regrading, drainage, landscaping, etc.) and we highly recommend him and will continue to use him in the future!

I was given Burke's number as recommended by Leslie's Pool Service to reinstall an above ground pool which had become rusted through secondary to an inadequate installation by another pool company. I was contacted by Traci Nollkemper and explained my situation, she was very courteous and professional, answered my questions or found answers and I scheduled my install. A week later, I received a call from a woman who said she owned the company and was "double checking" on my installation. I explained to her that I was concerned based on my prior issues with a pool installation company and went into detail about how awful that experience was, she stated she understood and would make sure this installation went smoothly. The day of my installation, I was unable to be home, so my mother was there to answer questions and deal with any problems. She asked the installers where the ladder for the pool had been placed and where the instructions for the filter (cartridge--I had a sand filter previously) and was told they were in the garage. In addition, she was given a number by one of the installers for me to call if I had any questions. I didn't remember purchasing a ladder for the pool, so I was concerned by the installers comment that it was in the garage as I couldn't find it or the instruction booklet for the filter. I called the number I was given and waited 2 days without a response. After a call to Leslie's, it was confirmed that there was no ladder and the instructions for the filter were found wadded up in a 4 foot high pile of cardboard boxes and trash left on my patio. Most concerning, however, was the HUGE number of cigarette butts I found in my landscaping...I must have picked up over 20 and in addition, found 2 discarded cigarette boxes. I do not smoke, nor does anyone who would be at my home. Quite frankly, I did not pay a large sum of money for the landscaping, patio and deck in my back yard in order to have it used as an ash tray!! I phoned Mrs. Burke and left voicemails at her office and on her cell phone, to let her know of my displeasure. After 48 hours with no answer, I phoned the manager and assistant manager at Leslie's and told them my issue. They contacted Burke's and were told I would hear from them "soon". One week later, I was in the pool store buying chemicals and the assistant manager asked when they had "come out to clean up your yard". I told her I wasn't sure what she was talking about. She stated she had been told by Mrs. Burke that they had called me to apologize and she had sent her installers out to clean up my yard...neither of which was true. As a matter of fact, while back filling the pool area 3 days ago, I found additional cigarette butts in the backfill area. Clearly Mrs. Burke was not truthful with Leslie's as I was never contacted. Of note, the pool installation job itself was well done and had I been contacted with an apology for the cigarette butts and a promise to speak to the installers, I would have been satisfied. However, the dishonesty exhibited by the Burke's is absolutely appalling and the motivation for writing this review.

By far, the WORST company I have ever dealt with! First the install was delayed because of the weather, no big deal, but I was told they would contact me the following week to reschedule, I finally called them almost three weeks later. My filter had a leak. I ran into Ed Burke at Pool King and he told me how to fix it which was great! Then hours later my pump stopped working properly. A week later, they came out and blame Pool King for selling me faulty equipment. Pool Kings manager came out and and said they installed the hoses backwards and fixed it. I also noticed (the day they installed it) that there was a ring at the bottom of my pool, w/in 3 weeks it turned in to a 7'' deep crater. After they wouldn't return my call, they promised Pool King they would call me. In September, I finally called them and they answered. After telling me how wonderful they were they refused to fix the problem unless I paid for it! If I have to pay, I will get someone who knows what they are doing!
Description of Work: I purchased a 24' above ground pool from Pool King. Pool King then contracted Burke Construction to do the installation. Burke Construction came out, leveled the ground and then installed the pool, pump, and filter.
