My name is Don Powell and along with my wife, Dana, own and operate Pet Stop of St. Louis. Our goal is to safely contain your pets with the best containment and training products on the market. This is why we use American Manufactured Pet Stop® products. We know how to design and install your custom pet fence usually in a few days. We take care of all the utility locations for you. Description of Work: Installed new in ground fencing system for my dog. Then, when the unit they installed (which I had not purchased from them) failed, they loaned me a unit of their own until my replacement unit arrived so that my dog would be safely contained. Great job, nice people!

I bought a and quot;dealand quot; from St. Louis Dog Fence--but they said it had expired. Angie's list apologized and refunded my money. I ended up buying a real fence anyways in order to keep critters out of our yard. I gave them an A rating since I really don't know and didn't want to jeopardize them.

When I researched fence systems for pets this was the only one that our Vet recommended. In years past I installed a fence system myself from a large box store and it never contained our dogs. I wanted professional service and professional equipment this time. Our dog, German Shepherd, has done extremely well. Her collar has been programmed to work at our daughters house so when we visit we can feel safe to let her out. While this is not the cheapest around it WORKS. Our dog is safe. Update May 2015, the collar quit working, one call and new one was in the mail. The item was under warranty. We had to do a little programming over the phone but we were back in business. What great service.

They did a great job. Came on time and communicated well. He asked where on the property line I wanted the fence. Installed quickly and trained both dogs afterwards. He showed me what to do with the dogs and came out a few days later to make sure the dogs were doing well and adjusted collars accordingly.

Pet Stop did a great job on the installation of our dog fence. I researched several other and quot;typesand quot; of invisible dog fencing but found Pet Stop to be the best due to the methodology they use to train the dog as well as the fencing equipment itself. Shane was able to train our dog quickly and love the way they ease the dog into learning the boundaries of the fence line. I have been very pleased with Pet Stop, Don, and Shane before the install, during, and now, after. About a week after the install we accidentally damaged the line and Don promptly came out and repaired the break. I would highly recommend Pet Stop!

I spent $1095 for their service. I don't have anybody to compare them with. They did the job, but I thought that they would be more involved with the training. I wasn't very happy with the training. They installed the fence nicely. I had them come back out again because they dug a trench for the wire and they didn't fill that back in. So, I didn't really like that. They were prompt in responding. I guess most of them probably have the same price. I would probably not use them again.

We returned to the customers home each time requested promptly. Each time before we left we asked about any additional concerns or questions. We were not informed at time of sale this dog was aggressive towards other dogs or we would not have installed a fence for this dog.

Outstanding service and product.
Description of Work: Great Service, Great Fence. The Owner Don Powell from PET STOP came out, gave us a firm written price. We got three bids and his was the best. Don and the install guy explained the system. Install was scheduled promptly, worker was professional and cleaned up. Dog was trained. After the all the snow this year, our dog (not the most intelligent soul :)) needed a little refresher training and collar adjustment as she had grown. Spoke to the owner (Don) on the phone for advice on training. He insisted on coming out to help and provided VIP service, no charge. You can't go wrong with this guy, he is service first with a great product at a better price than everyone else. Give Don a call, I am glad we did and I feel better knowing my dog is protected from cars. Plus, he returns calls same day. Elizabeth

The experience was good. The work was done professionally and promptly. The owner responded to all my questions before the work was contracted. He also provided me with an extensive list of references. I did check out the references and received favorable responses from those I contacted.
Description of Work: We had under ground fencing installed in our yard. The company got utility lines marked before they started. The owner came out to our house and we walked off where we wanted containment. The installer came out, again we walked off the perimeter. There was a single slit around the yard perimeter where the underground cable is placed & the installer damped down the ground when he was finished so there were no holes. He fitted collars on each of my dogs. One dog required a custom collar which was made on site. Then we were instructed each dog and myself on the training. The installer worked with me and each dog till we got the technique right.

I called yesterday. He came out this morning, as I told him I had a commitment later this afternoon. He was professional, did the work and was done. Excellent.
Description of Work: Our underground electric fence has a break in it somewhere. He came out, located the break, fixed it and repaired another place that would have broken soon.

The fence circles most of my 1/4 acre lot. It was pretty easy to get the dogs (I have two) used to the fence. I do keep an eye on them regardless since the fence doesn't keep any wandering stray animals or humans out. Don has been very helpful every time I call.
Description of Work: I had the fence installed in 2007 and it has been working great. Don has been helpful from day one. I recently called for new batteries and Don had them to me the very next day. The Cost of the batteries covers the rest of this year.

I am very pleased with all the service I have received. A probe broke off an old collar and the collar was replaced. The second time the system failed and he found that lightening had hit the low voltage system (and I found out later that some other low voltage systems in my house were also affected) and he replaced the control box. The third time I ordered an additional collar over the phone and it was at my door within 2 days. I am very happy with the service I have received.
Description of Work: I have used this company three times now. First to replace a collar, second to trouble shoot the fence upon failure, and third to order a second collar.

A couple of times, I've had a problem, where at the end of my asphalt driveway the wiring came out, but he's been here as soon as possible to fix that. The fence has worked so well with me and my dog! I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: They have done work for me here in Jennings and my son in Wentsville. They installed the electrical fence around our yard. Every six months they send a new battery for my dog collar which is about $11.

They are usually pretty prompt. They seem friendly. The guy who trained our dog was good, but that was 4 years ago. I will continue to use them.
Description of Work: They fenced in our whole property which is about 1/3 of an acre with an electric fence. I had him come back in 2008 and fence off a garden area. They showed us how the fence worked as well.
