Great....Eric completely the job timely and I had 3 items completely off of my list. I emailed the owner a question and hopefully, I can get additional work scheduled.
Description of Work: Eric put up a kitchen light, hung a picture on the stair wall to the basement and fixed a front door latch that would not lock correctly when closing the door.

I have not had very good luck with these "So Called" A rated companies. .. ( only one has been great "Kwik carpet cleaning ).....Don't think I am going to renew AngieList subscription .... Just give me my money back....I rather pay Lowes or Home Depot more and at least have them be responsible and professional enough to show up! SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

I was selling my house and I needed a list of tasks completed for the inspection. There was an added charge of $100. Do not hire them to hang our doors, it took them 3 hours to do this service and it was done incorrectly. I ended up having to get it redone. The main guy that owns the company, was very nice and kind over the phone. When that gentleman was out of town, the representative that answered the phone was very rude to me.

We recently moved into a new home and realized we needed to make some changes such as replace our carpeting with hardwoods and finish the basement that hadn?t been completed (1/2). We asked for bids and found Beaty Home Improvements not necessarily the lowest but the best match for what we wanted done. Joshua was very professional and explained in detail what steps would need to take place and the time in which to do it. The time frame was right ? 3 weeks ? and the price was right so off we went. Joshua had to custom order our hardwoods so they would match what we had in place and it is almost perfect and you wouldn?t know any differences unless you really examined the seams up close and with flood lights on! Since the floors would take 2 weeks to arrive, they started on the basement and made very quick progress and did some quality work. Once the flooring arrived, the juggling of resources and work began. At times during this install, Joshua brought in additional workers to help out which really pushed things along. We had some minor issues like adequate cleanup and cover up during the process but once I mentioned it to Joshua it was taken care of immediately. All in all it took 3 ½ weeks but everything came out better than we thought. Joshua was always available and returned any calls the same day. All of the folks that worked on this project all did an outstanding job ? thanks Joshua and his team!

He showed up an hour late. It took an hour to do simple tasks. He then requested a check for $100 when I had paid via Angie's List. When I contact business owner, I was told to request refund from Angie's List as they never received payment from Angie's List. Angie's List refuses refund as out of 30-day window. So I paid $200 for 1 hour of actual work.

I was very polite to this person and explained to them the advantage of getting the refund. then she agreed. that getting a refund is the best way to go. if she would have called and explained her situation i would make the appropriate changes to the bill. She is not telling the whole truth here. there are a lot of left out facts. Strange review. sorry for any problems.

ohn did a great job. He's cheerful and courteous. I'm really pleased with his work. When he painted the door, he also did the trim for me. Looks really good. I got the wrong size weatherstripping and had to go back to Home Depot. He moved the furniture and arranged it nicely while I was gone. One thing he does that I like is point out things to me that have been done incorrect or are broken, so I'll be aware of it before he works on it. He does a thorough job. Nothing is left for me to clean when he leaves.

We have seven windows with battery-operated shades; we were able to replace batteries from five windows, but needed someone with a bigger ladder to get the last two (we provided all the batteries). The first bid we received (from a company in Chesterfield) wanted $333 to do the (20-minute) job. Beaty not only did the job much cheaper, but did the job within a day of placing the call. Brian Williams did a really nice job, making sure he didn't leave marks on the wall from his ladder. I will most definitely pass their business card around the neighborhood.

The first technician from Beaty installed the new lamp fixture, but when the circuit was switched on, the light was found to be defective. I returned the defective lamp and ordered another new lamp of same model. After I received the replacement light I rescheduled a technician from Beaty. Josh Beaty worked with me to keep the cost down (since the job involved trips from two separate technicians). I felt Josh was very fair in his billing and both technicians were knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use them again.

The gentleman who performed the work was very friendly, but seemed to be trying to tell me that I shouldn't have to have a handyman do this work and said I should watch YouTube videos to learn how. I would definitely recommend that he should cease telling their customers that they should be doing their own work. I hired you guys because I don't want to do it myself. The work itself was mediocre. He missed several joints the first time around and fixed them when I pointed them out. Unfortunately, there were several other spots he missed that did not seal completely which I didn't notice until he was already gone. I ended up fixing those myself. There was also stray caulk on several surfaces in both bathrooms that I didn't notice until it was cured, so it is going to be difficult to get it off. I suspect that he must have cut himself at some point because there was some blood in both bathrooms. I find it odd that he didn't even mention it and didn't clean it up all the way. Potentially infectious blood left behind at the job site is not cool!

They weren't that good. Basically they were supposed to do something with my faucet. They changed the faucet and I wasn't getting any water. They were like, well, that is what we were here for. And I am like, the faucet you had on there gave me more water than the faucet you put on there. So I had to call the plumber. They are like, what else do you want us to do? So for the rest of the time, I had them clean gutters but the main thing I needed them do to was the faucet. I had to hire a plumber behind that. I used somebody else after them. I said, I better go with what I know for absolute sure, so I called my guy that normally does it. I hired Beaty because I thought; oh I can get all this stuff done. I need a handyman company right now and that is why I was trying out Beaty but I know they weren't there to do nothing. They couldn't do any of my stuff. I had to call other people that really don't even do the work to do stuff because I couldn't get them to do anything that I really needed done. They were very much overpriced because really what I thought I was doing was saving money on the plumbing by calling them but really I ended up spending more because I still had to call a plumber. For the stuff they did, a person that lived there would have done it. I just had to get them something to do since the thing I wanted had been paid for. This stuff is prepaid, so you don't really get to say, well, if you can't do it, I'll take a refund. You don't really get to say that. They were a little late. They didn't go off on me or get crazy or anything.

They did excellent work just excellent. Trustworthy, personable and just a total class act. They made sure that I was able to get all the right parts and resolved issues regarding the proper parts with the hardware store. I hired them again and I can't wait for them to do more services on my house. If you are looking for a qualified person who goes the extra mile for you, you foundhim. And his son helped him also and he was a polite and articulate young man. I do wish that punctctionality wise he could have been a little more on a tight schedule but other than that what a great job.

Eric arrived on time. he worked for 4 hours & charged me $215. After he left, the toilet still ran constantly after flushing. The front outside faucet was fixed with a washer. The back faucet , which he exchanged a washer, still had a steady stream of water coming out of it--I could not turn it off. it seemed completely unchanged since he "fixed" it. The hole --he shoved the insulation back up & said it as "in real tight". I called Josh, the owner, & told him the toilet still ran , the back faucet still leaked, & in a day or 2, the insulation fell back out by the hole. I fixed the leaking toilet myself by adding a metal piece to the gizmo over the flapper-it just needed weight to make it stop leaking. sort of a rig job. Shoudn't it be fixed right??Josh sent another guy out to "check on things" The guy, Brian, walked through & looked at everything. Brian was able to shut off the faucet in the back but I cannot turn it off that hard. Brian came back out to fix the unrepaired things on Friday, 8/28, about 2 weeks after the original repairs. Josh told me I would get a "free hour " of labor. Brian was in the back yard for an hour before he went to the hardware store to get the items to fix the faucet & hole. He finished in 2 more hours. The faucet looks nice, & works well, he put a board & new insulation over the hole & it looks very well done. My problem is he overcharged me by $25. Also, I dont think it could have taken a whole hour for him to figure out what to buy & get at the hardware store-so there went my "free hour" of labor. All in all, I paid $475, as Josh is returning $25 overcharge. I was very unhappy because everything could/should have been fixed the first time out. I feel $475 for this entire small fixes is l too much! I am an older single woman & feel taken advantage of. Josh is very nice-however, he himself should have really come out & fixed the things free or almost free plus I'd pay for the parts, as I think 2 more hours of labor is too much. Does this sound like 6 hours of work to you? Had someone competent come out & fixed everything RIGHT the first time, would have may paid for 1 more hour of labor, but not have 2 whole charges like this. The free hour was a joke---it shouldn't take 1 whole hour of looking at a faucet & a hole to figure out what to go buy at the hardware story. Sorry, not happy .Not a bargain at all. Like I said, I feel ripped off & overcharged. Josh offered me another free hour of labor, but I'm afraid that it will just end up being another wasted hour & I'll get ripped off again. he needs to make sure his people are all COMPETENT & ABLETO FIX THINGS!!! Oh,& dont overcharge, either.
Description of Work: I requested to have 2outside faucets fixed, my toilet tank insides redone & a leak fixed, & a hole in my overhang in the back fixed. (a hole where some animals had gotten in & torn away the insulation near the basement. ) Hole was approximately 6 in x 4 in maybe smaller.

The state of this home is flat out nasty. She needed a new toilet. The faucet needed replaced. Eric told me he just wanted to get out of there it was so nasty. I did everything I could to help this person. She was very nice to talk to though. its a shame my rep. has to suffer because her fixture have been neglected for so long. My prices are fare. Our experinece was superb. Joshua, the owner, returned our initial call in a timely manner and had us on the schedule in a few days. The morning of our appointment, Jon Andell arrived promptly and evaluated the list of projects. He was honest, knowledgable, personable and highly successful at accomplishing a lot in a short period of time. We know who to call the next time we need a handyman and will recommend to our friends, neighbors and clients.

Brian and Mason are personable, professional, and thorough. I had NO idea that the gate to my privacy fence needed new hinges. Brian and Mason could have just used what was there but they did not. They went and purchased 3 new hinges even though the gate only had two hinges. They wanted to give the gate more support. Again I would have never thought to install a third hinge. Brian and Mason are hard workers! I have a laundry list of small jobs that still needs to be done And I will ask for Brian and Mason -- by name!!! P.S. They are pet (dog) friendly. Mason and Brian had a full afternoon at my house. They started with 2 hours of handyman work and then installed a kitchen faucet. This turned out to be a small feat in itself. But Mason and Brian stayed the course and persevered. This would not be a true review if I did not mention their tardiness. They were an hour late. This was because their previous job ran over. I reminded them that could have called. They readily agreed and apologized; everything went smoothly from there. As I shared in a previous review, I will most definitely hire Beaty Home Improvements in the near future!!!

Initially, I bought the Angie's List handyman deal for 4 hours of handy man work for $199. I received a call from Beaty Home Improvement, who instructed me to cancel my handyman deal with Angie's List, which would allow him to fix my house projects at a better price. So, as instructed, I cancelled the Angies List deal. Initially, there was alot of confusion when this contractor could schedule my house projects. He said the owner was going on vacation, but they would figure out a day to schedule me. Frustrating, since they had to reschedule three times with me!! Finally, after waiting for almost 2 weeks, two contractors from Beatty show up to my house on a Monday. I bought all the materials needed and was looking forward to gettting my projects completed. Monday, late in the day, I get a call from Beaty's contractor, who said he could not finish laying my tile in my kitchen. He said the room wasn't perfectly square and he felt like he couldn't finish the job in a competent way. Why wasn't I told this from the beginning?? So, basically, half of my kitchen tile was laid down but not finished. None of my other jobs were finished, either. Beatty offered to finish the jobs, but I refused their help. I figured if you can't lay floor laminate tile correctly, why should I let you finish the rest of my jobs? So, Beatty left my kitchen tile project left uncompleted and charged me $250 for an incomplete job. I received a call from the owner the next day asking what happened. I explained. He offered to finish the rest of my jobs, but I didn't feel confident having this company finish my projects. He also stated that he wish his employee would of finished my laminate floors..even if it wasn't done correctly. He went on to say, he would rather see the flooring finished incorrectly versus not completing the job. Really? Why would you tell a customer this? Why would I want the job completed, but done incorrectly? I could have done the job myself, but chose to hire someone who knew what they were doing! I would not recommend, and I don't see how they receive an "A" rating on Angies List??

I really feel like you sir a very two faced in your phone conversations with me about the day in question. my employee told you the correct way to lay the floor is to remove the base sense the room was so out of square then you told him not to do that SO THE SUGGESTION WAS THERE YOU SIR DID NOT RECEIVE IT. what i told you on the phone is that i wish my guy would have finished the job the way you wanted it done (after the right way was suggested) just so we didn't leave it so unfinished looking. When i said this to you you said "Ooo its ok im just going to order a full sheet from home depot (which was our suggestion for the beginning. Brian my service provider is more than capable to lay this flooring. he work for a professional flooring company for 4 years laying floor just like that. the problem here sir is your trying to take short cuts.

The owner contacted me and I explained all the details of what needed to be done. Work was scheduled (I had to reschedule once due to being out of town) and the handyman showed up. After the initial assessment, he realized he didnt have the proper tool to complete the job, so we had to resechedule again (after I left work to meet for the appointment). The day before the handyman was to meet to complete the job, I was notified that I would have to pay a "rental fee" for a hammer drill. While I'm aware that the deal I purchased was for "Labor Only" I would expect that the handyman would have any "tools of the trade" at his disposal. This didn't seem to be the case. Realizing that the company was not in possession of basic tools any handyman should have (yes, I confirmed with numerous handymen who I am acquainted with that unfortunately don't live in my area), I decided that I wasn't about to let a company that doesn't have basic tools do any work for me now or in the future. It appears I paid $99 for a learning experience.

ok so where to began, this hammer drill we need is not just a everyday tool. if is was told we needed a hammer drill to start with we would have informed him that we don't own one. its only cost around $36 dollars to rent the machine for the day. not that much.the tool it self is around $800. trust me i can go buy that but its not cheap. If he knew so many handymen that have a drill of that size to drill though concrete. he should have hired them. it seam like he is trying to take advantage of me and my LABOR ONLY COUPON.
