Dale quit in the middle of the job, didn't come back to finish the job. Won't return my calls now. I made the mistake of telling him I was interested in a water conditioning system (non-salt based). He knew nothing about the newer systems, and picked up a couple of brochures from suppliers here in town. They weren't what I was interested in, and based on the fact that he had never worked with this type system, I called the local dealer for the system I was interested in. Dale found out, and refuses to come back and finish.

We have used the services of Nixa Plumbing twice. First, 2 years ago we had a sewer leak. When the builder did the backfill of the front yard, 2 large boulders were pushed up onto the sewer line where it enters the house dislodging the pipe. (I still don't understand why the person that did the backfill didnt see this- or why he just ignored it. These were huge rocks, nothing that could not have easily been seen!!!) This was over Easter weekend, and we had all of our kids and grandkids here visiting. Dale was able to get a backhoe, dug out the entire area, ran new pipe into the house, and sealed the area in the basement. It was expensive, but I don't even want to think of what someone else would have charged on a holiday weekend. When he checked all of the drains, we asked if he could stop the toilet in the basement from occasionally running. He repaired this at no charge. The second time we called Dale was for a toilet that was "wobbley". Another great builder/contractor issue. He removed the toilet, and found that due to the way it had been installed there was no way it could have been attached to the floor. He repaired, and sealed the toilet to prevent it from being able to move on the tile floor (which had never been done). He then checked the other toilets to make sure they were installed properly. We also had him replace a standard toilet with a chair height one. He did this quickly, and used top materials. Since we had him at our mercy, we asked if he could re-route a faucet in the back so the hose bib would more accessible. He came back and completed this the next day, and even though it cost him more than he thought, he stood by his original estimate. He made sure to tell us that all of his work is guaranteed for 1 year and to call if we had any problems at all. 3/14: He did a great job. Always left job site as clean as he found it. They purchased the water heater locally, very honest about quality and price paid. It just seemed to cost more than I expected for labor costs, although they gave us a total price prior to doing the work that we agreed on.

I flushed a wash rag down our toilet - my husband called Dale and he came at the end of the job he working on and "retrieved" my rag before it traveled on to make "bigger" problems.
