Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

After leaving two messages requesting service, with no response at all, I found someone else to do the job. We have used Ben Franklin Plumbing for years, both here and in Texas. We were very happy with the work done by the company in Texas. We are NOT happy with the work done locally. All of the work they've done has had to be redone and they are VERY expensive. Much more so than others in this area. Joshua, the owner of the company, appears to hire the least expensive help he can find. None of his help has been competent. The first time we hired them here in Missouri, the ran a water line from the pump house to a newly built barn. The helper complained the whole time he was here, about how hard the work was, how he wasn't paid enough. He borrowed one of my tools, and broke it. He didn't repair or replace the tool. He came to the door and asked where we wanted him to put the "extra dirt" after the trench was filled in. We told Joshua about our encounter with this incompetent individual. Another helper doesn't speak English well, and caused a propane leak after damaging a pipe. We had to call him back 3 times to fix the problem, and he never admitted he had done anything wrong. I wouldn't have known what the problem was if I hadn't accidentally overheard him telling someone what he had done.

Have used Benjamin Franklin for quite a few years now and every time there has been a problem they have addressed it and fixed the issue. The house we had purchased ended up having quite a few "plumbing" problems which were unknown to my husband and I. Prior to Ben Franklin we had numerous plumbers who always claimed they "fixed" the problem, however within 6 to 8 months we had sewer backup issues again. Ben Franklin plumbing was the first company to actually find the problem we had been having for about 4 years. The team of men worked in the snow until late in the evening to complete the project they had started. We have since hired them to replace the sewer line running from the house to the main sewer drain outside, they have run a new water main from the street meter to the house. Our next project with them will be to reroute the water lines within our house since they are all buried inside the cement slab and if we have another leak it can and will become more expensive than rerouting the pipes as a preventive measure. Hopefully when that job is complete we will have all our water issues fixed. I highly recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing ~ they are prompt, professional and get the job done. Pricing may seem a bit high but to me is worth it knowing the guarantee that stands behind their work.
