Owner, Steve McFarland. We have been with Steve from the beginning, from about 1986-87, when he started as Better Lawns and Gardens. GMI services most of the homes on our street of 15 properties as well as the commonground areas of the subdivision homeowner's association.. Through all these years we have found Steve, GMI to excel in customer service, and in managing his crews. They are reliable, courteous, efficient, neat, willing and ready to go the extra mile. The crew have always been on time and on the ball. The company is responsive to special requests and as it continues to grow, and has maintained professionalism in all our experiences. Somehow, Steve has managed to keep his prices lower than most competitors, he is a fair and honest man. I'm ashamed it has taken me until now to report on a fine company. Steve has stamped the marks of integrity, honesty, fairness, thoughtfulness, respectfulness, reliablity and trustworthiness on GMI. He strives to serve all his customer's with these admirable qualities. They have been consistently obvious qualities we have appreciated all these years.

A gentleman came out, Neal or Steve, I'm not sure now because I cannot find his card. He looked at what I wanted done, said he would get me an estimate the following week. Three weeks later I called and he said he would get something to me at the beginning of the following week. That was a couple of weeks ago and I have yet to hear anything further. I have since contracted with another company I found on Angie's List, Horstmann Brothers. Jeff came out and gave me an estimate the same day, which I accepted. The work has not yet been done, but I'll let you know how that goes. I joined Angie's List because I don't have a lot of free time to look for contractors. GMI got a good rating. I wish they would have done what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it. If GMI didn't want my business, they should have just told me rather than leaving me hanging. Now I can't get all the planting done because it may be too late in the season, which could have been avoided.

We had a very pleasant experience working with GMI and Neal. Our landscaping was fairly simple, but there was a lot of labor involved. Our first appointment was at 9 am and Neal was right on time! I thought Neal was creative with his design, he suggested ideas that other companies who quoted us did not. For example, elevating a small wall near our deck, which looks great! The two men that worked the job were just as professional. Always on time, cleaned up at the end of the day, and worked very hard in the August heat. I had several neighbors comment on how hard they worked and what a good job they were doing. What really stands out about GMI, is their honesty. He originally quoted us $2500, but due to a lack of materials some minor changes had to be made and he adjusted the price, less $530. I have just hired them again to do some more landscaping.

We have used this company for all of our lawn maintenance, landscaping, etc. Neil is great. He is punctual with quotes. The work is always done professionally and no mess is left. Neil really knows his stuff. The prices are higher than other offers we have had from lawn mowing. Based on prior experience, however, I think you get what you pay for.

Great in every sense of the word. Neil is always prompt and polite. The workers get the job done and always behave professionally. All debris is cleared after the work is completed. I can't say enough good.
