Description of Work: Service technician came into my home and discovered that the glow plug was not working, then the gas valve was also no longer working. He suggested a price of $300+ for the glow plug (found it online for less than $30) and $800 for the gas valve (found it online for less than $90). With his estimate of $1100 to repair my system (12 years old), he suggested that I purchase a new one $2,000-$3,000 dollars. So I just paid the diagnostic fee of $90 and purchased the parts online and fixed it myself. The pricing of services is way out of line for the amount of time it took (around 30 minutes total) and the actual part cost.

Description of Work: Had them out twice to figure out why air not working. Got a very confusing response. Not sure they actually figured it out. Very nice and professional. Had them give me a bid on a new system. It was quite high.

Description of Work: Install new furnace.

Description of Work: My furnace would run but the burner would not come on. This happened after a tornado came thru and the power came on and off three times in a couple of minutes. The power was then off for 18 hours. I had an electrician check out my breaker box etc. it was all ok. The service tech guys showed up pretty quick after I called in to the office. I explained that my regular service company albers was going out of business which was sad because they did great work. The tech guys checked out my furnace and found that a manual limit tripped on the blower unit. this happened because of the storm. when the fce kicked off the heat which rises made its way to a sensor causing the limit to trip. This is a safety feature and it worked. The tech guy told me I had bad vents and that my ductwork could be full of water. He also said he needed to cut through the steel walls to get a look at my "A" coil to fully find out what happened. He said I had long haired dogs and that could be a problem. He said my "A" coil was completely sealed up. I had to wonder then how could dog hair travel from my return vent on the ceiling across the house in the ducts past my filter and get past the blower motor which was clean and end up on my "A' coil. He offered me a service contract which I declined not because of what he did but what he said. It seamed like he was trying to scare me into a contract. I use furnaces at my place of business that have elevators attached to them so I do know something about how they work. The items he brought up could happen and we could get attacked by aliens at some point. Good service but strange approach to get repeat customer.

Description of Work: They did a routine service for us for our heating and air conditioning system. We have an annual agreement with them and they come out twice a year. We have used them for 10 or 15 years. They do good work. In 2005 they replaced the entire system and we continue to do business with them.
