+ 3 moreThis was my first experience with a large remodeling job and I was very disappointed. I will be paying for it for several years and yet I need to find someone to fix the mess they made of it. I made sure I checked references, got a detailed estimate, and didn't pick the cheapest bid and I still screwed up. I don't know how people do this more often. In retrospect, I can't think of anything positive to say about them. Shoddy work. Our expensive door is crooked and the drywall seams have cracked. Apparently, rather than mudding and sanding several times, they did it all in 1 thick layer. In spite of our paying all along, they weren't ordering anything until they needed it, which sometimes caused delays. If the job is large or complicated, get someone else. They should call back when they say they will and follow through to make the work right.
Description of Work: Our front door notched in from the front of the house. We had it moved out so the front of the house is straight across. We also had the front windows widened and raised. They had to remove part of the front porch and re-pour concrete, replace walls, put in a new door and interior entry floor and move an overhead light. They had to redo the tiled part of the floor because they measured wrong. When the tiles came out even one way, (as in no partial tile used an uneven the other direction, they tried to convince us that tiles were sometimes rectangular.
