We went to the Manchester store to talk about a major remodel of our kitchen (assumed it would be in the $50,000 range). We met with Tracy, discussed somewhat what we wanted to do, and Tracy talked some about the cabinet lines they have, etc. An appointment was made to for him to come to our home to measure and give us some ideas. Tracy came at the appointed time, took measurements, answered questions, discussed options, etc., and it all seemed to go fine. He promised us that because of his skill he would come up with a wonderful plan that would exceed our expectations. He said that they normally have a plan finished in a week or so, but they were running behind, and it might take two weeks, but hoped it would be sooner, and he would call. When Tracy hadn't called after13 days, I called him (on a Wednesday). He said they were very busy, but he would work on it, give us a call the next day to give us a progress report, and call by Saturday with a finished plan and make an appointment to go over the plan. He didn't call on Thursday or Saturday. On Monday, after no call from him, I called him. He said that they had a lot of work, the plan wasn't done, and would I just like to forget about it. How unprofessional! How dishonest! What a waste of our time and his! From Angie List comments of others, it seems that this kind of thing has happened multiple times before. How do they stay in business with this kind of treatment of potential customers? I recommend staying away from Modern Kitchens & Baths.

Sales person came out to house? Took measurements, said he would contact us at the end of the week. It has been almost two months. Terrible service. With all the technology there should be know reason for a salesperson to make a contact with a customer.

kitchen remodel and after hearing other horror stories,, I was prepared for something to go wrong and extra time,, but none of that happened,, All went extremely well,, and after 1 1/2 years,, there is still nothing I would change,, used them again on a much smaller project,,and again,, great!,, will use again for my bathroom,

I now have a gorgeous new kitchen which I love. Michael Dupree, owner, was often on site reviewing the job and saw to it the job was done well. I couldn't be more pleased.

Jackie met with us May 2012 and designed a new kitchen according to our needs and requests. Micah did the installation and had to deal with uneven walls and floors. The workmanship is wonderful. The installation took approximately two months and was well worth the time it took. Micah and Jackie both had a strong attention to detail and made sure we were happy with the results.

At the beginning of the process, I met with several different companies to discuss what I wanted to do. Ultimnately, I decided to go with Modern because I felt like Jackie (the designer) was really listening to what I wanted and trying to make it happen. It wasn't about what she wantd or liked, it was about my vision. My husband and his father also really liked Bob who runs the job from the installation standpoint. They felt like he really knew his stuff. I am enjoying the process, but I can't wait until the kitchen is finished. The job is supposed to be complete by mid=February. I will keep you posted.

After a home visit, and estimate we visited the office, and signed a contract for a list of work to be performed in late July. Work was not to begin before sub-contractors inspected the home, and determined the extent of work required. They showed up on Sept. 7 without telling us they were coming. Since beginning work in Sept., it has been one thing after another on why the work was not done in a timely manner or professionally. The original salesman left or was fired. The first subcontractor worked at his leisure, and did not work full days, and missed days at a time. After complaining, and having the project manager (Mike) take over the job, a different subcontractor was brought in to correct all the errors of the first subcontractor. A 3rd person was brought in to finish the job. This 3 week project took over 4 months with continued calls to the office, and no responses to several of our calls. Work performed left much to be desired.

BOB BARR WAS OUR CONTACT. HE WORKED WITH US IN THE EXISTING ROOM TO DESIGN A NEW KITCHEN THAT INCLUDED THE FEATURES WE DESIRED. WE HAD SEVERAL IDEAS AND REQUIREMENTS AND BROUGHT THEM TO BOB. HE DID THE DETAIL DESIGN AND SELECTION OF SPECIFIC CABINETS TO BE INSTALLED. WITH OUR APPROVAL THE CABINETS WERE INSTALLED AND DELIVERED ON OUR TIMETABLE. THERE WERE SOME MISTAKES IN THE ORDER, AND BOB REORDERED THE CORRECT PIECES AND HAD THEM DELIVERED.

WE COULD NEVER GET THE DESIGNER, CLARK BETTY, TO RESPOND TO OUR BID REQUEST. WE MADE A SITE VISIT TO THE SHOWROOM ON 09/15/05 AND A SEPARATE TRIP TO THEIR SPECIAL TILE VENDOR, TRENDS IN TILE, ON 09/22/05. WE HAVE FAXED SEVERAL LETTERS REQUESTING A BID FOR OUR NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION (BOTH KITCHEN AND BATHS), BUT WE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. EVEN IF THEY HAD THE BEST PRICES IN TOWN, WE WOULD NO LONGER CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH MODERN KITCHENS and BATHS.
