White's Fixit

Doug was a life saver.  After a heavy rain with a clogged downspout, my gutters tore away from the house and water ended up in my basement.  I called late on Saturday afternoon and Doug came the next day - before the next rain.  He not only fixed the gutter, but checked the entire system, cut branches away from the gutters in the back and installed a new downspout drain extender I had purchased.  He was courteous and I felt very reasonable.

Doug Bohrn of White's Fixit is very direct, very polite, and very efficient. They will be coming here late October to replace rotten wood trim, paint new and repaint old on the front of my house. 

Their main business is window washing, and I feel fortunate to have found them for my minor house repairs. I needed the gutter fixed first and foremost. I'd already called a handyman listed in the Kansas City Star. It took him two days to arrive for an estimate, and once here he said he wouldn't work over electrical wire even though I'd already told him on the phone I had it propped up over an electrical wire. 

I was in a jam. Doug and another guy were on ladders washing windows at some business along Ward Parkway, and on a whim I parked and told Doug my problem. It was around 1 o'clock, and at about 3 he called and said he was on his way. Gutter and windows were fixed by 5:30. Chimney was fixed next week, on the day and at the cost promised. Such a relief to work with people who do what they say and don't make you feel like you're stupid because you can't do it. I'm a retired teacher and not interested in climbing ladders anymore.
