+ 1 moreKevin came out very quickly, asked what we needed to get done and came back 2 days later (over the weekend!) with a detailed proposal and we hired him. The start of the work however was postponed a few times without us ever receiving a phone call - simply nobody showed up. When I called to complain I was assured that somebody would come the next day. From then on for 3 or 4 days workers showed up - usually between 10:30AM/11AM, did some work, took a lunch break, did some work and left (except for the first day) before 3PM. Then the temperatures dipped and Kevin called me that the project could not be completed before spring because of the weather. He would collect the surplus plants/equipment the next day and complete the work in March. More than a month later he had not collected his things and only when I called again did he come and collected his things (I also told him I was not interested in further business). The bill I received was fair and covered the work done.
Description of Work: Put in a flower bed and bushes, cleared a piece of lawn to turn it into a vegetable garden.

+ -1 moreThey just were not interested in our business despite repeated attempt on our part to further the process, check references and view projects, inspect hardships suppliers as requested and promised by the owner, Kevin.
Description of Work: NOT RECOMMENDED. Contacted for proposal for a large flower bed project, patio, and water feature. Initially was prompt to respond and had an immediate appointment with the owner and an associate. We had to follow up to get a proposal. The owner canceled the appointment with 3 minutes to spare due to sickness. Three days later he had not contacted to reschedule but claimed we had told him we were supposed to contact to get schedule. We finally had a proposal meeting. His measurements in the drawing were substantially off and not to scale. He insisted they were and promised to update and email a new proposal with additions we wanted to make via email. After 3 days they showed up. We contacted to request a redrawing to scale and with proper dimensions as well as a follow up request for references and a location of similar work he had recently completed in the area. Despite several emails and a phone call, he never returned our calls. Follow through/doing what is promised not done.

+ -1 moreKevin returned my call promptly and came by that day to take a look at the area. We told him that we were looking to spend a very small amount since we were selling our house ($500-1000) and simply wanted to add curb appeal. We also told him initially we wanted it done relatively soon, if he could. He came by the next day with 2 proposals, we selected one and he completed it in one day himself. Even after he had the proposals drawn up, I told him we possibly had an offer and may hold off for a week. I was impressed that he was flexible and understanding about this, especially since it wasn't what I originally told him. Also, I was impressed that he was professional looking and acting, his contract and proposals were very easy to understand and displayed organization with his business, and that he was very helpful and courteous in answering our questions. He even did the work himself, since his crew cost more than I wanted to invest. Would definitely use again and recommend!
Description of Work: Landscaping of the front of our home to add some curb appeal, since we were selling our house. Three boxwoods, 2 rosebushes, 1 pear tree, and mulch surrounding.

+ -1 moreKEVIN IS QUITE AN EXPERT AND HIS CREW WAS QUICK AND EFFICIENT. HE REALLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. THE WORKERS WERE CONCIENTIOUS (I WORK FROM HOME AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY WERE THERE MOST DAYS) AND THEY CLEANED UP THE PROPERTY VERY WELL EACH DAY. ALL OUR NEIGHBORS HAVE COMMENTED ON HOW MUCH BETTER OUR PLACE LOOKS.
Description of Work: KEVIN PUT IN TWO FLOWER BEDS, AND TWO LARGE BERMS OF PLANTS. THE RESULT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. HE RECOMMENDED SEVERAL THINGS WE WOULD NOT HAVE CONSIDERED THAT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN OUR PLANTS ACTUALLY LASTING AND OUR PROPERTY LOOKING SO MUCH BETTER.
