Their are no details, becauce the service men didn't do anything except to try and sell me work that didn't need done, to make money off of me. ONE HOUR HEATING AND COOLING is a ripe off Company, and the service plan they sell you is worthless as the paper it was printed on. If you use them and you get the same service as I got; don't complain, because you were warned!!!
Description of Work: I had a plumber and electrican service my Condo as per agreement and neithier did much of a service; except trying to sell me extra work done on my Condo which didn't need done. What needed done was the service I was paying for and didn't receive. I also call them about a dozen times to service my Home Heater which I'am still waiting for the last six month's!!!

I bought a 20 year old home last year. The buyer was to pay for a home warranty plan, and the closing company had lined up some other home warranty company. I looked at reviews on them, and they were terrible. So, I found these guys with an A rating on Angieslist and switched it to them. It was a tiny bit more expensive, but home warranty programs generally have a bad reputation and the positive reviews on these guys made it seem worth it. Basically, you call the number and file a claim over the phone, they give you a list of people in your area that they can pay directly (although you can use whomever you want as long as you get the dollar amount approved first and are willing to be reimbursed after paying the repair guy). Super easy. They fixed my furnace twice, which was a couple hundred bucks each time. And, they replaced my dishwasher motor and control panel, which worked out to $450. They have limits on what they will pay to fix, and if they won't fix it, they'll give you money towards a new appliance. I believe it would have only been $100-200 towards a new dishwasher, so it would have been cheaper for them to just refuse to repair mine. But, the person on the phone talked to a manager, and they paid the full amount to have it fixed which they contractually were not required to do. These guys are awesome. If you're buying a home warranty or buying a house and the seller is paying, go with these guys. Very happy.

I tried to use CAP for 2 tmes and and i ended up not using their services because it would cost me more than if I do it on my own. The first time my $1500 refrigerator stopped working. I called their approved service providers and I was told that it couldn't be fixed. CAP offered $400.to buy a new one. I ended up calling a service on my own who fixed it for $250. The second time my central AC needed repair. Once again their providers told me it couldn't be fixed. CAP again offered to pay a ridiculous amount to buy a new one. Again on my own I got it fixed fir $500.. Both times I got nothing from CAP because I didn't replace the items. I am going to save the $60 plus I pay per month and hire my own service providers.

I contacted Complete Appliance Protection to have a Washer and Electric range repaired. A company was recommended at first but this company had taken a very long time(about 30 days) to respond back to me after removing a part from my Washer. I contacted Complete Appliance Protection again to inform them that the company they had recommended has not followed through with the repair of the Washer and I also needed my Electric Range looked at due to one of the elements was not heating up. Complete Appliance Protection authorized me to get a company of my choice to make the repairs and that I would have to pay initially for the repairs and then I could submit receipts for reimbursement because they did not have another company to recommend to me. I was suppose to have the company that I choose to make the repairs to contact Complete Appliance Protection to get authorization for the repairs but I just told the company to go forward with the repairs because I did not have an alternative company to call and this company had the parts to make the repairs on their truck. I called Complete Appliance Protection and asked how to get reimbursed for $521.00, their customer service representative informed me that I should have gotten approval prior but I could still send in my receipts. I thought that I would not get a refund but I did receive a refund check from Complete Appliance Protection and I do appreciate them for this even though I failed to get the proper authorization for the repairs. Just one last comment, I was with another home warranty company for years and although I was paying a monthly fee, I still had to pay the repair company a service charge any time one would come out to check on any issue with my appliance. However, Complete Appliance Protection does not require a service fee to be paid to any company. That is a great savings to my pocket, especially when the other home warranty company required me to pay a service charge of $75.00 per call. Thank you Complete Appliance Protection for the great service you provided to me on this call.

I called the repair company, and provided them the claim number. They sent a technician the same day. The technician determined that a tube was clogged, and unclogged it. The technician was friendly, punctual, and thorough. Best of all, I was not charged a penny. I haven't had good experiences with home warranty companies in the past, but my experience with CP was different. The whole process was simple, easy, straight-forward.
Description of Work: I had bought a home warranty package for 1 year when I had bought my house. So when I found water leaking from the air-conditioner, I called CP. I spoke to a person who took down the details, and provided me with a repair company contact information and a claim number.

Awoke in Phoenix today to no air downstairs in our house - our upstairs AC unit was working perfectly but our downstairs unit was kicking out nothing but hot air. 1 call later we had a tech in route from one of their service providers and they really stepped up to do the right thing on our repair after the tech started replacing parts trying to figure out the problem - a repair that could have easily cost us $1500 ended up costing us $25. Cannot say enough good about how they have handled our issues that have come up in the last 18 months (3) and their willingness to do the right thing for their customer. Great. After a couple days of looking for the part, ARA Air was able to get the part and install it in the A/C Unit. Now the air is great...blowing cold all summer.
Description of Work: A/C went out & I called for repair. First company determined no repair possible & quoted an entire new A/C unit at several thousand dollars. So Complete Protection suggested another A/C company for a second opinion. The second company (ARA Air) worked diligently to find the parts to repair rather than replace the A/C unit.

.Not well. They referred us to a vendor who was on vacation. Person taking the call for the vendor kept us on the phone for 15-20 minutes explaining problems with substitute for vendor. Called us back forgetting she had already spoken with us. Explained the problem to CAP. Unsatisfactory response and tone.

It went well and as expected. The a/c unit was properly working and it was the normal level of noise as expected from the unit. The unit is stable and not rattling to the level where it is very loud and intrusive.

Good. Moore's Appliance came out and man was very good and professional.
Description of Work: Fixed dishwasher (twice). 2 different issues. I cancelled the insurance because we were moving. even though my credit card was billed, the cancellation was immediate. I'm supposed to get a refund. But, wouldn't you know. Just a few days after cancelling, we had a major problem with our frig. I kind of feel since my credit card had been billed and the process for a refund had not started yet, that the coverage should have continued. other than that, I would use them again.

I've noticed that people have had varying experiences with CAP. We have had a contract with them for over two years and are mostly pleased with their service. I did learn, the first time I called them, that their network is inadequate and it is best not to rely on them for a contractor referral - the companies they asked me to call were either inactive or simply didn't return my calls. CAP will provide the coverage they promise, but it is best to have your own numbers ready to call. In the event of a problem with a covered appliance or system, simply call CAP for an authorization number, call your service company and request that they call CAP after diagnosing the problem (provide the authorization number to them), and then have your contractor send you the bill after the repair is complete. The downside is that you pay for the repairs up front - the advantage, I've found, is that CAP will reimburse you completely with no hassles, and usually within about two weeks. My last heat pump repair ran about $400 - a few like that will really make you appreciate the value of a $77 monthly premium.

When we bought our home, the agent just added a warranty company on his own. I decided to research it, however, and the company he recommended was horribly rated. I went with Complete Protection because the reviews suggested that they actually take care of things when they go wrong. Good choice. We had an air handler go out late in our first year and we put CP to the test. They sent a guy out ASAP and the technician declared the unit dead and said we needed a new motor. CP approved the repair w/o protest and the bill was something like $800, of which we were responsible for $0. When we bought a rental property, we ordered another warranty through CP. From reviews and my personal experience, they stand behind their warranty.

I hate to be the party crasher reviewer, but there apparently are some things that don't apply to other reviewer's situations with Complete Appliance Protection (CAP) that need to be mentioned. I used another home warranty company in the past, for several years, encountered an unpleasant situation and decided to shop for a new company. I found CAP and was with them for about 6 months. During that time I discovered that something was wrong with my AC/heat pump system and ultimately needed to place my first service call with them. I take full responsibility in not doing my proper research prior to signing on with this company, but I found that their way of providing service was not what I wanted or had been accustomed to. My first disappointment came when I placed my service call. They told me that they did not work with any of the contractor's in my state/area, and that I would be responsible for calling around and finding a contractor to come out and examine my system. When I asked about the service call fee payment, they said that I would pay the contractor and then get reimbursed within 2 weeks (it took at least a month). So I called, made the arrangements, got the diagnosis. Then I had to fax the invoice/diagnosis to CAP, get their approval as to whether they'd help with the repair or replacement (their decision). They decided that they would only help with a complete replacement, which I could understand over a repair because the system was aging. But again, I had to set everything up, pay for it, then be reimbursed whatever they were going to allow through their cost schedule later. I just did not like have to do all the legwork myself. That pretty much took all the convenience and "care free" feeling right out of having a home warranty to me, so I ended up cancelling it.

This provider went above and beyond his duty. He came back twice to adjust my ice maker , now it is like brand new. He was prompt and came out right away the next day. Great service. The company took car of everything as the warranty states and it cost me $0.00 for the repair as it was covered under the home warrenty.

This provider went above and beyond his duty. He came back four times with multi pal parts to repair my water heater. Although it took many trips, even coming late afternoon tip it was done , now it is like brand new. He was prompt and came out right away the next day ordered the parts and repairs began. Great service. The company took care of everything as the warranty states and it cost me $0.00 for the repair as it was covered under the home warrenty. I would recommend this company to everyone and

I have a home warranty with them, so they send me out whatever contractor they have at the time. There was no cost. That is the amazing part of complete protection. They are a little more expensive than other home warranties. I had a problem with my ice maker when I first got the warranty. It two different companies and thirteen different service calls for them to come out to have it fixed. I incurred absolutely no cost. They replaced almost the entire system and they did not blink at fixing it. The first company got frustrated with it, then it was discovered that it was their fault for installing the wrong equipment initially. The second company did a debugging and put in the correct part after which we did not have a problem. In the meantime a lot of parts were changed and throughout it all the marquis company did not balk at their responsibilities. Other companies would have given up, but they are great. I have been in contract with them for almost two years. They fixed wiring in the house, pool pumps going out a couple of times. I have had at least twenty five service calls. I found this company because of Angie's List. I grade my experience 'AAA'. The price is a little high but I have a lot of extra things added to it. It's well worth it.

I have not had to utilize the warranty service as of yet. I have only been paying the monthly premium. Therefore I cannot speak to the quality of service.

Needed a dryer serviced but CP did not have a tech service in the area. So, when I called CP, I was given an authorization # and was told to make the appt myself, which I did. It's a GE dryer so I called Sears for an appt ....for today. Sears called prior to the scheduled appt and said there was an issue. They had the information for CP as well as the auth # from CP. I was told that I would need to pay up front (about $80) unless I called CP to have them make the appt and take care of the billing. When I called CP, I was told me that I would pay up front and then get reimbursed. I guess they don't want to deal directly with Sears. Anyhow, the reason I chose CP was so that I didn't have to pay ANYTHING for an appt. I guess my monthly payments to CP was a waste of $$. I'm canceling CP.

We are happy to work with Sears, many of our customers choose them everyday. Sears will not bill a third party for the cost of repairs, therefore we simply require a copy of the invoice in order to reimburse for charges incurred. The turnaround time is quite prompt and we feel this process is straightforward and easy.

I joined CP through a referral from our local gas company. The monthly fees for this are automatically added to my monthly gas bill so it is very convenient. I have been with CP for several years and have always had EXCELLENT service. I have never been made to feel guilty that I have a problem with furnace, washer, dryer, etc.... I call and let them know there is a problem. CP gives me an authorization number and I can use the business I choose to fix the problem. I schedule the appointment for the repair and after the problem is fixed I give the repairman the authorization number and THEY bill CP. The employees who answer the phone for CP are always very courteous and professional and I appreciate that THEY appreciate my business :+) I give this service an A+ !!
