Climate Control replaced my AC units a couple years ago and did great work so I called them when I had a problem with my 20+ year old furnace recently. They came out and got me running quickly at a fair price with great quality work. A few weeks later I ran into an unrelated problem on the same system. This was bad timing and frustrating because if it had broken earlier they could have fixed it at the same time and saved time and money. Even though there was nothing Climate Control could have done to avoid the unrelated issue, they knew this was frustrating and they offered to do the additional repair at no cost without me even asking. I'll definitely be using them for my scheduled maintenance, repairs as needed, and when it's time to replace these old furnace units.

Tech Michael Miller did a great job performing a system check on the heat pump and furnace. He is very professional and pulled and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Checked heat exchanger and the units were running according to the manufacturers specifications upon departure.

I know they are expensive. I don't remember the price. I am on one of those subscription plans, and I pay three to four years in advance. I don't know what anybody else cost. No problems with quality. Just preventive maintenance for summer and fall. The workers are competent. I have had no problems. The area is left very clean. They wear the little booties, and clean up after themselves. Its just maintenance. I have had no problems. Very competent folks.

Disappointing. Service tech was asked if filter was replaced as is stated in the contract. Tech said no but said the one in unit since May 11th was in good shape. Took him at his word. Went to utility room the next day to get some touch-up paint and noticed filter over inserted into compartment and bulging toward airflow. This could be easily avoided if they had installed a back plate on the opposite side of the filter box. The tech said he didn't have the right size filter w him. I had two new filters right next to the furnace which I always keep in supply. If this is the result of me not following the tech around (which I normally do since we've had problems w their service techs but didn't this time due to an injury) then I've got to wonder if any of the other services were actually performed and up to standards to keep my system under warranty? In my opinion, Climate Control should send a different tech to completely re service my system or refund my contract.

A couple weeks before Christmas my furnace started blowing cold air. I called Climate Control, which I have used for several years. The representative showed up promptly as agreed and said the gas valve had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I agreed and he said it would take two days or so to get the part, In the meantime, he said he would get the heat pump going to give some warmth. That was done and we now had lukewarm air. Then they called and said that as I had a really old furnace it would take a week to find the part. He came back as scheduled and installed the part. He seemed to take a long time and said he got the wrong size but made it work -- whatever that means. But afterwards, the house was no warmer. So I called on a local company just three blocks away for a second opinion. One of the owners came over and checked it out. He said the problem was that the furnace was still switched off and the heat pump was still working in the middle of winter. He turned the furnace back on, and everything was great. Hearing my story, he said the gas valve was very common, a universal model, and he had several at the shop and he says he could have done the job for $200 less. So there we have it. No need for waiting for a week in a cold house. High prices. And a botched job. They have done OK, more or less, in the past. But following this, I am done. Lesson: comparison shop. You can do better than Climate Control.

The technician who cleaned my furnace was great. However the front office is a total disaster so my review is concerning dealing with the office, not the technician. We called 4 weeks in advance, they scheduled us out 2 weeks, and then they cancelled the appointment without notification. We had to call them and reschedule. They had no explanation. Because of being stood up, we called the morning of the rescheduled appointment to discover they had already cancelled it also! No notification at all. If we hadn't called we probably would have just been stood up like the first appointment. They wanted to reschedule out another 2 weeks saying that they were too busy for a simple cleaning. However now we were under the gun because we were selling this house with closing scheduled in 3 days. Of course they wouldn't honor the original appointment but would only schedule the appointment at the same time as my husband was scheduled for a procedure in the hospital. That was extremely inconvenient and no compensation for the issues and grief they were causing was offered. For years we have not been able to get this company to call our cell numbers to confirm appointments. This time the did call the right number but sent the technician to the wrong address. We needed our receipt for closing but when we didn't get it emailed like normal, the office claimed they didn't have our email so they couldn't send it and would mail it! We had been clients of this company for 12 years! We've never had an issue setting appointments or getting emailed receipts before. We will no longer be clients. They used to be good but are a total mess now. My ratings below refer to the office, not the technician.

The service (identified himself as Micah) man called me from the property and told that the entire system needed replaced, I asked for details and he told me that the furnace blower motor was burned out and needed replaced. He also told me that the condenser and coil had a leak and that the Freon had leaked out and was not repairable. I asked what the replacement cost would be and he told me $5993.00 for materials (York) and labor. I told him that I would get back to him and he charged me an $89.00 service call which I paid for over the phone using my credit card. I decided that I needed a second opinion and called another company to have a service call and diagnosis done. That service man called me from the property and told me that he found a wire that was disconnected from the blower motor. He reattached that wire and the blower motor now works fine. He also found that a capacitor needed replaced. He replaced the capacitor and the system is now working fine. My total cost for that was $275.00. I phoned Climate Control and asked to speak to the owner. I was told that he was not available the lady that answered asked if she could help. I said no, that I wanted to speak to the owner. She said that she would pass a message to him. A few days passed and I received a call from Climate Control from a man that identified himself as a manager that the owner was out of town and asked him to call me. I related to him what had occurred and he asked for my address so he could refund the $89.00 that I paid for the service call and told me that the service man "needed some additional training." A few days later I received a check for the $89.00.

A/C went out and called to have them come check out the problem. The A/C was dirty and needed to be cleaned. There was a small part that needed to be replaced which was done, plus he suggested that I needed a new condenser ($3K part) and he couldn't guarantee how long the current one would last. Feeling the pressure of the sales tactic, I said no and paid for their annual maintenance plan (which I regret) and small part that was replaced. Total bill was $480. I was able to canceled the maintenance plan and will get a refund, but found out the capacitor that he replaced is only $15...Total bill was $240+. I used this company several years ago at a different house and they tried to sell me a condenser then too.... Given the age of the unit I decided to get a new A/C all together which was about the same cost of the condenser. I'm wondering now if I really needed a condenser then too. Bottom line...I WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE!!!! And BTW...I never had any problem with the A/C the rest of the summer.

Everyone from the dispatcher to the techs were wonderful. They were punctual, efficient and explained every detail. I had to call for a maintenance issue and they had a tech out there within 2 hours. Description of Work: My AC stopped. I called Tuesday after work. I was told that they would be out the next day in the afternoon. They did show up Wednesday late afternoon. The technician said that power was going to the main control board but was not distributing it to the required equipment. He also said a large buildup of rust in the coil and refrigerant leaks. I was told that I needed a new coil and control board about $2300 to fix. He said that it may be worth replacing whole system since I had builder's grade system. My system was 10 yrs old. He would not let me know the price of a new system. I had to wait for a specialist in systems to come out and talk with me a day later. The salesman told me how "crappy" my old system was, he tried to sell me a new awesome system for $7,000 to $8000! I know better than to listen to high pressure sales pitches. I told him I would think about it. I called friends to find a reliable/honest HVAC person . I found a man that came highly recommended - I had to wait over the Memorial Day weekend (sweating my butt off since it was upper 80's almost. 90!!) but it was worth it. The honest HVAC guy saw that I had a short at the fuse box - he rewired the fuse and the AC was fixed!! He only wanted $100 but I paid him $200 because he was so honest to a single woman!! He is now my new HVAC guy! I called Climate Control to complain but the owner had nothing really to say. I cancelled my comfort club membership. I thought I could trust the company but after years of no problems with my system- the one time I had a problem they tried to screw me !! Always get a second opinion!! Do not become a comfort care member - they just steal your money!!

The quote was like around $7200. It was positive. It was good. We had three quotes from three different companies and we just decided not to go with this one. We had a representative to come and the first time he came, he was over forty-five minutes late and the second time he called and it was going to be an hour and a half late and I just canceled, and then they sent another representative who was very good. Initially it was not good.

I have an on-going contract with Climate Control which includes semi-annual check ups and servicing. I have used them for at least 2 years, based upon Angie's List. There is always a recommendation for something to add, i.e. mold eradication ultra-violete system, but there is no presssure when I have said "No thank you." The service techs have always appeared to be very professional and knowledgable. I have recommended them to my neighbors.
