Dewey was a pleasure to work with. He did what he said he would, communicated in a professional and friendly way, did great work, and charged a fair price.

We had used dewey before to install a patio slider in another part of our house.We were very pleased the first time,so it was easy to decide on who to install another door..Dewey does excellant work and will answer any questions you have along the way..The door looks great and i woulld reccommend him for any project you might have.

We obtained a couple other estimates besides WOW, but ultimately chose Dewey because we appreciated his laid back sales style and fair pricing -- no "buy today and I'll get you a better price" pressure - and the fact that he was going to do the work himself. He answered all our questions about the difference in his windows verses other companies and didn't push us into buying the most expensive window he offered -- he showed us the details of both styles he offered and let us choose the best choice for our house. We were very pleased with the experience with working with Dewey. He delivered his estimate the day he said he would, called the day he promised to let us know the status of our window order, and showed up on time the day we scheduled for installation. He had to rebuild a couple window sills that were rotted and he showed us the damage and how he repaired it. Each day he showed up on time and the job was completed within three days as he promised. The entire experience was the best we've ever had with a contractor! We are happy with our new windows and feel that he did a quality job. We plan to replace windows in our sunroom next year and will not hesitate to call Dewey.

He and his son did a great job with the work and completed in one day. The price was fair and he was very upfront about all that he would be doing. Recommend!

It went very well. We were concerned about replacing windows in the winter but there was actually very little time that the window opening was exposed

This is the second major window replacement i had him do (different houses). He provided different options for the replacements. He worked up several options to try to save me some money. In order to meet our schedule, he met us on the Saturday at the window showroom to show us samples and answer additional questions. He stood by his quotes, even if he encountered extra unexpected work or cost. Work quality was first rate. In particular, he did an excellent job with the water damage repair, carefully smoothing the dry wall seams to properly blend it into the existing walls.

My parents needed Doors and Windows installed. Being an Angie's List Member and Contractor I helped my parents look for a small shop that could handle my parents house in a manner like it needed to keep the water and elements out of the house. With every other window, door, and siding company having subcontractors and advertising cheap windows and deals that can save 40 percent on energy bills. We made an appointment to meet with Dewey. Dewey showed up on time and on a Saturday. He brought samples of the Plygem windows he installs. My parents were looking at Anderson and Pella windows and ended up going with Plygem windows due to their trust in Dewey. Dewey and his son installed six windows and an external door with no issues. Brought the job in for the price that was quoted. Dewey treated my parents in a manner that all Angie's List Contractors should treat their Customers.. The right way. Dewey is not cheap, but his is professional and does a very good job.

I was impressed by Dewey's communication skills. He answered my questions at the house and then sent me an email with the possible bid information. Reading the work he was going to do, I felt assured that he would install the windows with as much attention to detail as he showed in the email. I listened to 7 bids before I chose Dewey. He was realistic. When I asked about removing the sheers on the front living room windows prior to having the work done, he told me that the sheers were not all that expensive and he could work around them. I appreciate that kind of honesty. (The sheers were ok in quality but I took them down anyway.) We communicated via email which is my preferred choice. He later came for me to sign the contract. I told him I wanted a mid range quality and price. Now that the windows are installed, they show the quality I wanted. I saw a perfectionist at work. Dewey and his son began the installation and finished in 2 days. He was always patient with me as I asked the same question more than once. Today the new windows are in and I'm very satisfied with the work and quality. I asked for the next batch of windows to be installed in February. I had worked with Dewey and his son to replace one half of my windows in 2012. I was pleased with that batch of windows so we continued with the other half in 2013. In the first installations I had the opportunity to place triple strength glass for the same price as the double strength glass due to a special price from the factory. I chose double strength for the first batch, later wishing I had chosen the triple strength. Since this has been a cold winter, I could have used the triple strength. The special price was no longer offered in 2013 so all of the windows are double strength glass. All the work was done with care so the windows look great. The price of the sliding patio door was less than I had expected and the door looks absolutely wonderful. By staying a little later on both days of the installations, Dewey finished in two days. Dewey is very pleasant to work with and talk to. He answered my questions well. I felt comfortable with his work, knowing that he had done a super job earlier at the house. He pointed out other work that could be done in this almost 50 year old house. I appreciated his comments. I would recommend Dewey with no hesitation.

Dewey arrived on time & was informative & professional. Made us feel comfortable with his "non-salesman-y" approach, was dependable, & performed as promised. His follow up was excellent. Would use again.

The experience was fine, but we decided to go with a company that could simply repair the rotten wood as opposed replacing the entire windows and doors.

The owner, his wife, and his sons are the ones that do the installation. He is the one on the job instead of having a crew. The job went well. He also worked with us to save a little money. We stained and re-varnished our own woodwork and he put it up. He was flexible and it was a job well done.

The initial bid was professional, knowledgable, and included samples of the product. All followup questions were answered quickly. Workers arrived timely and completed the job as promised, including cleaning up after themselves. They worked with us and our particular issues and needs, for which we are most appreciative. The windows look great due not only to the quality of the product but also the master carpentry finish.

Excellent Service

Mr. Walcutt was the first window installer to tell us that because of our window opening size, we had to replace our old casement windows with new casements; we could not go with double hung because of fire code. (There is a minimum opening allowed if the room with the window is a bedroom.) The Pella and Anderson window representatives failed to mention this and would have installed double hung windows. (If we were to sell the house, the rooms with the new windows would not be counted as a bedroom.) Walcutt worked with us to let us do our own painting of the new trim. There was one error (three windows arrived without the grids between the glass). Walcutt went ahead and installed the windows, ordered new sashes, and installed the correct sashes about a month later. The overall job went very well, and the end product is of high quality and installed professionally. This company is a family business and I would recommend them to a homeowner who needs replacement windows or doors.
